  1. Exactly - there's a world of difference between enthusiastic young fans who make plenty of noise & support the team (a good thing) and wee neds who shout abuse, let off flares, vandalise a bus & abuse people online (a bad thing). If I was a young fan (can't really call myself. 'young' any more, in all honesty...), I'd be annoyed at being lumped in with the group who caused the recent trouble - it's not all the 'young fans' who caused this....
  2. Totally agree with that - said something similar myself on another thread when it became apparent Robbo was intent on shipping him out
  3. Good to keep the fans informed - thanks!
  4. Sounds like a good plan, but I think that it's more likely that he'll be away in January, unfortunately
  5. I don't think the board are backtracking at all - think they are giving these guys a second chance, which they would be well advised to take. The neddish behaviour is completely out of order, personally, I think Graeme Rae is being fairly magnanimous here. Going to a game & vandalising seats/buses & online abuse is something these guys could end up with a criminal record for - nobody wants that. Hopefully the ban has made them realise that 'actions have consequences' that could have been worse for them. If the ban is lifted, after this dialogue, they cone back, enjoy the game (although in fairness, that's hard to for any of us right now!) & behave themselves, that's the best outcome.
  6. Personally, I think Raven is worth a new deal, even if it's a short term extension to the end of this season. Yes, he's lost a bit of pace, but he is still an intelligent & experienced footballer, which is what I think our young & inexperienced team needs just now. Maybe he's lost the pace for the premiership, but, given we are in the championship, he is worth hanging onto.
  7. Completely agree that's where things started to go wrong - with the benefit of hindsight!! How many of us at the time thought 'good on the club for growing a pair & telling Dundee Utd where to go (politely)', though? I was glad at the time, although, clearly this was the wrong decision...in hindsight. Tansey was another variation on the same theme...in hindsight, we should have probably sold him to The Sheep when they were willing to meet his (alleged...) buyout clause (which was about £200k, I think). Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing!!
  8. These are all fair points (particularly the man-management & fitness side of things, both of which I have serious concerns about), but the facts still remain that Robbo had to put a team together, at short notice & with a miniscule budget. Not a 'Robbo love fest' by any means & if things don't improve soon, I wouldn't be sorry to see him go. Just saying, lets not go overboard & start shouting 'Robbo out' - as I said in another thread, we are hardly an attractive prospect for a manager just now & we would still have the same squad anyway..
  9. With the number of stores they have in Sneck, I wouldn't be suprised to see: TCS (Tesco Caledonian Stadium)..!
  10. I'm sure he would have taken the job on with his eyes open, but still doesn't change the facts...
  11. Not convinced about the 'benefits' of Tullochs - granted, they did knock up the North & South stands quickly enough in 2004, but they have made plenty out of the rent they charged us (until the announcement re: gifting the stands to the club, I wasn't aware that the club didn't own them anyway!). Totally different situation to County who, imho, remind me of another club with an owner who doled out the cash..Gretna (not as bad though)..if County had to balance the books lime we do, might put a slightly different perspective on things..
  12. With little time & a miniscule budget with a relegated team & a club in turmoil, it has to be said
  13. Personally, I think Kingsmills has history on his side here - Falkirk were relegated & almost went into administration when Yogi demanded (& got) a bigger transfer budget.
  14. Robbo himself said about the youth team "if you're good enough, you're old enough"...we really should be seriously considering some of the youth players playing in the 1st team...some of the 1st team seem too comfortable in the knowledge that their place is safe, no matter how bad they play.
  15. Glad I am working - otherwise I would have had to sit through what sounded like a truly dreadful game!
  16. Can we all agree to stop touting TB for a return - it's not funny anymore...
  17. Or he treats County as his personal property...depends on your point of view, I suppose...
  18. Think thats what the supporters need at half time...
  19. I could see exactly those difficulties arising myself - just floating an idea. Not sure if it would ever make money, but like you say CB, it would be a great routine for the players. Price-wise, it wouldn't be able to compete with HighLife (which is great value) or the likes of Bannantynes on facilities. Maybe it might work as a partnership with someone-even make it part of HighLife, in conjunction with Inverness Leisure - would fit in with the ethos of returning us to being a community club. Just a thought....
  20. This may be a bit of a mad idea but...could the club develop the West area of the stadium & make it into a fitness centre for the players? Then open it up to the public (maybe just evenings/weekends when the team don't need it)? Discount for season ticket holders maybe! Would be easier for the coaches to work with the players(1st team/youth team, whoever) more closely: eg, if they've specific things they need to work on? Could allow other local amateur teams to use it, of there's space)? Wouldn't be a moneyspinner & perhaps overly ambitious, but would be a statement of intent on the ambition of the club. Lots of issues re h & s (for example, would they need to employ a full-time coach to be present whenever the facilities were open)..but just an idea. Also would fill in the west side of the stadium too...
