The match against Dunfermline could be all down to desire in the end. Is their desire to stay in the Championship greater than our desire to get out of it? We usually struggle against the teams in the bottom half of the league, so Saturday is the perfect moment to put that right. Hopefully, after the last two wins, we can have a better attendance at the game, we need to create a cup tie atmosphere.

I really hope Billy Dodds has a game plan for the game against Dunfermline, and not just the usual punt the ball up the park. Yogi will have a game plan, and he will have three of our former players in their ranks, Col Donaldson, Liam Polworth and Joe Chalmers, they might have had four, but Owain Von Williams has been released, but I'm sure those three will be fired up. So let's be on it from the first whistle and please please please pass the ball and shoot more!

The players need to get into their heads that when playing Dunfermline, who are bottom, that they will be fighting for their survival in this league, so we need to get into the mindset that we are fighting for promotion through the playoffs. We have struggled against the bottom clubs this season, and this would be a good time to go for our third win on the bounce. We also need to get out of the habit of punting the ball aimlessly up the park. Surely the percentage of unsuccessful attacks or goals leading from this practice must show the coaching staff that it doesn't work. Start on the front foot, close the opposition down and pass the ball and shoot more often, it's not rocket science.

That was a very welcome and long overdue three points. We played with a lot more intensity today, closing them down and making quick passes on the front foot. We must continue to pass our way to goal, as our second goal illustrates what we can achieve when we hit our opponents with quick passes and play our football on the deck. Still too many long hopeful balls punted up to our small strikers, their centre backs won every one, can we not see how fruitless this tactic is? I thought the tactics were spot on today, we played a lot narrower, and when we passed through our midfield, looked dangerous everytime. The whole team performed well, but I think Sutherland and Carson for me were the pick. If we can play with this intensity and desire in the remaining games the final play off place will be ours.

I said on here before that it was a number 10 we needed to bring in, someone in the mould of a Scott Allan, to link the midfield to the strikers, to thread balls through and create chances. Instead, we are now reduced to lumping balls up to our small strikers, and you can see during games how frustrated Billy Mckay gets. Surely we must have some young players who can pass a ball? Where are all these fantastic young players that Robbo was enthusing about a couple of years ago? We probably released them all.

It was a season that started so well, unusual for us, but has gone on a downward spiral. I know we have had injuries, but that can't be blamed for the performances, and in my opinion, it started after the Gardyne incident. Whether it has affected the morale of the team or whether Gardyne was the key to some of our victories, I don't know. Our performances have been flat, they look lethargic to me, and they don't look as if they are comfortable with the tactics they are told to play. I don't think they will get rid of Dodds anytime soon, it will cost them far too much. Remember when then got rid of Hughes, they couldn't afford to hire another manager from outside, so they hired from within, Foran was put in charge, and we are still suffering from that relegation. I know the fans are dwindling away, even some hard core ones that sit near me have been absent for quite a few games now and I do think that the club needs to make some statement about the fans unrest, they have been silent for far too long. It will soon be time for them to send us letters asking us to part with large sums of money to buy season tickets, so they must try and keep what is a small core of season tickets buyers onside. My own opinion on why we have had such a bad season is for one reason only......Lionel Nessie, where has he gone? Hae he also deserted the cause, and maybe he was our talisman! Has he been sacked? Can we afford another mascot or will Robbo have to wear the suit????

Caley Thistle 6-a-side Masters Team
Humble apologies. And thank you for pointing my error out. I will have a right good talking to myself, and will read the rules more thoroughly next time. I will then amend my selection, Calder-Mann-Mihadjuks-C. Christie-Wilson-Wyness.

Having been at every home game this season, I have watched Dodds closely, and can't quite work out what he sees, when the rest of us see something completely different. As for the second half against Partick, he said we were excellent! If that's his idea of excellence, what the hell does he mean when he says the lads trained well? He is tactically incompetent. If they are being trained to hoof the ball up to our small strikers so they don't have a chance to get any ball, then he is a genius and his plan is working perfectly. Partick were no great team, but even without their best player,Tiffany, they at least tried to play through their midfield, we could hardly put three passes together. Our whole coaching system and style of play need a complete overhaul, and as I'm sure no decision will be made in the near future, things will need to change for next season. I don't know if anyone on here was at the meeting in the what was The Kingsmills lounge, when Robertson took over and was accompanied by the chairman Rae? That was a number of years ago, and he said that the club where so excited about the youngsters coming through, they were some of the best he'd ever seen, so where are they? Why is the first team not festooned with our home grown talent? It's about time the club answered some questions, but I won't hold my breath.

Scot Gardiner and backroom staff - Is a big clear out required? Issue is obviously way bigger than just Dodds...
What I have never understood, and maybe someone can tell me, is that for all the clubs that are taken over or have money put into them throughout Scotland, why not ICT? What is putting off any wealthy investors investing into a club that is the capital of the Highlands, has a great history for such a young club, who, only a couple of years ago won the Scottish Cup and played on the European stage? Why did we not kick on and strengthen after our Scottish Cup success? Instead, we have gone backwards, and at quite an alarming rate, in performances, in players and ultimately any improvement in the whole club. I'm sure, or hope that those in the higher echelons of the club must have asked themselves this question, but we the supporters will be the last to know. If, down the line, we change managers, we must change the coaches as well, a new direction, new ideas and new methods are needed desperately.

The silence from the club is deafening. The way the ICT support is dwindling must be of concern to any serious business. They say talk is cheap, it can just roll of the tongue and not mean much, so when the club said that the relationship and communication with the supporters was very important, and along with the match day experience would be improved, I think by the continued silence from those in the higher echelon at the club, you can take that with a pinch of salt. I can honestly say that in all the years that I have followed ICT, I have never heard or seen the hard-core supporter so disillusioned by the current disconnect.

It is certainly the time for a new direction, but I just can't see the club being able to afford to get rid of him. Football is a very strange place, where you can be hopeless at your job and will usually get a hefty pay off, while in the real world, if you are found to be incompetent at your job, you get shown the door, with just your P45, and then walk into another job. Think of all the managers that have been given the sack, it doesn't seem to put other clubs off hiring them. For me, we should hire within, I like the idea of Christie and Tokely, we need to get some passion into the club again, and Dodds might be a nice guy, but I want to see him get angry, shout at the players, but I just don't think he's got that inspirational streak in him.

Next Manager
Has the chairman come out yet to say that he has full confidence in the manager? Well if not Dodds is staying. In a perfect world, we need a whole new coaching team, some new ideas, everything is so stale. It's the way we lose games that's not acceptable, if you go down fighting and giving everything, you can say we were unlucky, but it's the nature of the performance that's disturbing. And as I have said before, the disconnect between the club and supporters is widening by the week.

Next Manager
Weren't we nearly crippled before by paying up the contracts of Foran and Hughes, so how would that work with getting rid of Dodds? Does it still take a pay off if he resigns? What about Tremarco? I see him on the County bench during the Premier league games, he must be gaining some good experience. I don't know who we can get, but things need to change.

I looked at our stats at half time, 67% possession and no shots, that about sums us up. I can't remember a time where I have been more despondent about watching ict, no desire, no tactics, no skill and a manager with no idea. Teams must be rubbing their hands knowing that they are coming to inverness to get three points. Teams have sussed us out now, and if it wasn't for the points we picked up in the early part of the season, we would be in the relegation zone now, and heading down. A new direction has to be paramount for the remainder of the season, as my prediction of ict ending up 5th is on the cards. What a woeful performance.

My thoughts exactly, there has to be an end product, and to know when to release or cross the ball.
