I was the same, I have followed Bournemouth since 1971, as they played in the same strips as Inverness Thistle, and Celtic were my big team when Inverness didn't have a Scottish league team, so it's a win win for me, but I thought he would have moved to the Premier league or abroad. I think he was harshly treated by a section of the Celtic support and maybe needed a change. He will now be down on the South Coast with Stuart Armstrong.

That was so disappointing, especially after we seemed to get most of it right on Tuesday night. We never got our rhythm going and didn't use our wings enough. We seemed to be looking for this magical 30 yard pass over their defence, that was mopped up by the Albion defence at ease. We really need to find a striker that is ruthless in front of goal. I agree with the posters on here who said that Duku seems to want to take too long to get his shot away, and what a waste of a free kick he took. Maybe we thought the points were in the bag before the game, as our passing, fluency and energy from the Peterhead game just wasn't there today. We need to regroup and play our best eleven against Cove now, and hope we are on seven points going into the Hearts game.

I was at the game, sitting in the North stand, not my usual haunt, as I have season ticket in the main stand, so it was nice to watch the game from a different perspective. We were treated to two excellent goals, we were right in view of Aaron's brilliant strike, and watched it dip and swerve into the top corner. With regards to the Kirk Broadfoot signing, I must admit that I wasn't filled with joy to read he was coming to ICT, I thought that we usually got rid of players of that vintage, Warren, Raven and Tremarco being prime examples, not signing them, but I was pleasantly surprised to see him stroll through the game, and be very vocal with organising the back four. His energy levels never dipped throughout the game, and I now think that it could turn out to be a good bit of business by ICT.

I thought the first hour was very encouraging. We were closing them down well when they had possession and our passing was brisk and on point. We lost a bit of our rhythm with all the subs, but there were a lot of good performances out there tonight. I agree about the stewarding, and there were many in the North stand not wearing masks, when it was announced that mask wearing was essential in the stand, but not enough stewards to enforce it. Also we weren't allowed to park in the North car park, it was for staff only, and as I have mobility problems, I wasn't amused to have to walk from the main entrance. Surely, that car park should be for folk going into the North stand. Very poor from ICT. I hope they sort it out for Saturday.

Although I think the strip is a good one, in my humble opinion it would be vastly improved if the colours were swapped. Let's have a red shirt with thin blue stripes, and red shorts with a hint of blue, and red socks with just a hint of blue. I know, it's just a dream, and I am so grateful for the small percentage of red granted on the new strip, but a supporter can dream.

The last time I was at Victoria Park Buckie was on the 21 November 1993. This was to see my beloved Jaggies take on the Buckie Jags, the game ended in a 2-2 draw. It was always a hard fought game against Buckie, and it would have been great to go back after so many years.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news that Ian had died. Although I had never met him, we corresponded on email when he helped me immeasurably on a project that I was pursuing, supplying me with statistics, information and photographs. Along with all the information he sent me, he enclosed a signed copy of his book 'Going Ballistic ', it was such an unexpected gift from the man, and reading all the tributes that I have over the past few days, was such a well respected man. RIP Ian.

Just got my email for my ticket in the north stand for the Dundee game. I'm over the moon to be able to be at an ICT match again.

The lineup for the Jags was Sievwright, Fraser, B.Black, Cumming, Bremner, Milroy, A.Black, Newlands, Bruce, Drews aind MacLean. Subs Kenny Munro and Smith. Cumming was the player manager at this time.

I didn't put the Jags as favourites to win the league in 1986-87 season, the were 8th the season before, but I was hoping that they could kick on to 3 or 4 in the league, but as the season progressed, they were playing some of the best football I had seen from a Jags team for some considerable time, and I saw them in every game, home and away in the league winning year. In fact, they went the whole league unbeaten, until the last game of the season when they fell to a home defeat to Peterhead. Some of the performances that season were breathtaking, and I put down to good recruitment. They had picked up Stevenson, Noble, Bain and Taylor and with a nucleus of already first team players of the calibre of Milroy, Black, Calder, and the emerging Charlie Christie, they had the makings of a really good side, and it came to a point that I couldn't see them getting beaten by anyone, I expected them to win every game. The 85 Scottish Cup defeat by Celtic wasn't the catalyst, but the round before when they beat Kilmarnock, when the Jags league form wasn't at its best, was maybe a sign of what they could do when they fired on all cylinders. My only regret is that I wish they could have gone on further with that group of players, but with injuries and some players leaving, it just wasn't to be. I thought that getting rid of Brian Black as manager was a very negative move, not just because he was an ex classmate of mine, but he deserved more time for bringing the title up the hill, but his replacement, Leishman, was the beginning of the end for the Jags. His recruitment was woeful and he got rid of some of our best players and didn't replace like for like.

These are some of the match reports of the last Jaggies game at Kingsmills. I took photos of every viewpoint of the ground that day, I still miss those days so much, and to this day, I get a tear in my eye wherever I pass where Kingsmills Park stood.

Here is my cherished last Jaggies programme. My son got all the players to sign it. The game, which went by in a flash, was for me quite numbing. I just tried to take in the fact that never again would I be able to attend my beloved Kingsmills Park.

Unfortunately, I'm now on the sheilding list as my immune system has been shot, and I'm on steroids. I'm not allowed to leave the house, or come in contact with anyone, but my son lives near by. So, I only hope that I'm in better shape when the football starts again, I would hate to miss my saturday fix.

Hi, I haven't been on here for a while. Unfortunately I was admitted to Raigmore Hospital with a virus, thankfully not Covid 19, but it was serious enough to be rushed in. I got home last monday and I am now recuperating well. I have an autographed programme of that last Jags game, one of the saddest days of my life, and I took a lot of photos. I also have numerous match reports of that very surreal day. I will try and dig them out and post them over the next few days. My son was 13 at the time and celebrates his 40th birthday this month, April, how time has flown.

It has to be David Raven's goal against Celtic in the Scottish Cup Semi Final. What emotion, it was overwhelming, as was Vincent's in the final, but that day we were playing Celtic, and even with 10 men, I thought that they still had a chance to come back. I have lived through the greatest time in ICT history, cup finals, cup wins, top three finishes in the league and European football, although it would be nice to think that we could achieve those heights again, I just think that all the planets were in align for us over that period, and we had some outstanding players, but Raven's goal is at the top for me.

I heard this week of the sad passing of former Inverness Thistle player, captain, manager and legend Ian Cumming. He was the driving force in the midfield of the great Jags teams of the 70's. He was a player who could read the game well, who could play some neat football, could take a good penalty and could mix it if the game required it. I am so glad that I had the privilege of watching him play and meeting him. Another legend from the past sadly gone.

Such sad news from a player who is still relatively young in this day and age of footballers. Greg was one of the finest midfielders to wear the ICT shirt who was the whole package. He could read the game well, amazing free kicks, penalties and passing, he could also mix it when he needed to. He was on our team at one of the quiz nights and came across as a very friendly guy. I really hope he finds a way to persue whatever path he takes next. All the best Greg and thanks for the memories.

A very enjoyable Saturday afternoon in the sunshine at the stadium. There were some really good performances by the whole team, but for me, Welsh, Walsh, Vincent and Rooney stood out, and although White missed a sitter, you can't deny his work rate, he runs for everything. Yes we could have scored more goals, but to have another clean sheet more than makes up for that, as it keeps our goal difference in the pluse.

Yes, I would have to have Keatings in the first eleven, I think he will be a very big player for ICT this season. Apart from linking the play and a goal threat, his corners and free kicks will contribute to a lot of goals.

Another very enjoyable listen. Amusing and good varied content. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to the next one.

A very enjoyable afternoon in the sun at the stadium for the Jags. I have never seen such a negative performance from a team, in the first half, like I did from Morton, they just tried to park the bus and had no out ball, last weeks result was obviously fresh in their thoughts. We played some neat passes and it was just finding a way through the massed ranks of their eleven, and we did with a fabulous strike from Todorov, and the second looked like Doran had over run the pass, only for the ball to emerge past the keeper and into the net. Storey had the beating of their right back for pace time after time, and had put in a few good crosses, and nutmegged the keeper for Thistle's third. We could have had a fourth, when we were awarded a penalty when Trafford tumbled in the box. I would have liked to see Welsh take the penalty, even though he missed the last one against Clach on Wednesday night, but Todorov had grabbed the ball and it didn't look like he was going to give it up, Welsh was the penalty taker last season, and I think, if he is on the pitch, he should take them, unless he is constantly missing them. Todorovs miss seemed to spur Morton into life and they were being far more offensive and grabbed a consolation goal when our defenders seemed to lose their player. All in all, there were some really good performances. Welsh, Doran, Storey and Todorov stood out for me, and keeper MacKay's distribution was first class. Mchatttie and Donaldson were solid at the back and both full backs put in good shifts up and down the wing and some good crosses. I though Trafford had a far better second half and MacGregor had some nice touches to link the play. Machado has great feet, and just needs to know when to lay the ball off to a player in a better position, but I love his directness. As I said in a previous post, I think we now have the strongest squad we have had in quite a few seasons. In past seasons we have had a good first eleven and a bench that wasn't as strong, but now we have competition for all areas on the pitch. Good results can breed confidence, so lets hope we can take it into our next game at Dunfermline.
