Feelings on Brewsters Return
Still no away top. No centre back. No attempt at getting in a decent manager. My feelings: disillusioned

The new "singing" section
Just read this on the liverpool website, thought it was quite interesting as at the end there's an ex-liverpool player commenting on the affect the fans singing had on his, and the team's, performance. The Reclaim the Kop thing has been going down pretty well too - perhaps those trying to get the singing section off the ground could ask for advice from people involved there, or from other clubs etc around the UK. Luis Garcia on liverpool fans lyrics from the Kop I'm stuck in Cambridge and can't even afford a Megabus up to Inverness to watch them play as my finances stand at the moment. So I won't comment much on issues like the singing section. I just hope that we end up with a singing section which supports the team win, lose or draw for when I do manage to start heading up for games! I don't know whether those at CaleyThistleOnline would be willing (or allowed) to put a couple of pages for a singing section on the main site or perhaps put a sub-forum for people to discuss the matter or submit songs; or whether there's enough people to warrant them doing that (as I've come in a bit late into these threads!). But if there's owt I can do to help just give me a shout.

On a lighter note..........
That's why Warnock is steamrollering ahead in the polls!

Brewster Vs Warnock
A few stats google threw at me: Neil Warnock Scarborough - P78 W30 L23 D25 - 38.46% (win%) Notts County - P209 W90 L70 D49 - 43.06% Torquay United - P15 W5 L5 D5 - 33.33% Huddersfield Town - P108 W44 L30 D34 - 40.74% Plymouth Argyle - P88 W35 L29 D24 - 39.77% Oldham Athletic - P69 W22 L27 D20 - 31.88% Bury - P77 W19 L29 D29 - 24.67% Sheffield United - P388 W165 L123 D100 - 42.52% Craig Brewster Inverness CT - P50 W17 L15 D18 - 34% Dundee Utd - P28 W2 L15 D11 - 7.14% John Robertson (not up to date) Livingston - P59 W16 L29 D14 - 27.11% Ross County - P15 W6 L4 D5 - 40% Hearts - P35 W13 L13 D9 - 37.14% Inverness CT - P84 W44 L27 D13 - 53.66% Also in favour of Warnock he's apparently turned down the opportunity to manage a fair few clubs whilst at Notts Co. and Sheff Utd.

Brewster Vs Warnock
I can't stand Warnock. Can't help but feel he's the better option out of the two though.

Who should replace Charlie Christie?
Here's a tenuous link... didn't Barry Wilson get on well with a certain Alan Shearer while doing coaching training? Alan Shearer maybe? surprised nobody has mentioned Barry either! it has to be one of the cheaper options available ;)

Rory Mcallister
Perhaps loan him out for 6 months or a year and see how he does in one of the lower divisions. If he does well then bring him back, if not... well... If his problem is one of confidence then I sure as **** hope he doesn't visit in here (same goes for quite a lot of other players tbh).

Rangers Match Reactions - [merged]
Being down in Cambridge I had to content myself with listening to the match on the radio, from what I heard here's my views. Positives from today: 1) Fraser - I must admit I've had my reservations about out goalkeeping situation, especially the lack of quality back up but as long as he stays fit *touch wood* I'm glad we've got someone solid in goal. 2) Things will get better, unfortunately given the team we lined up with I'm hard pressed to say that it was down to new signings needing time to fit in. (Can anyone comment on how Munro was as captain, and how well he organised the defence?) 3) At the time or writing Gretna are even more gash. 4) The game may serve as a kick up the backside for everyone involved in today Negatives from today: 1) The unending confidence in Rory, there's got to be a reason for it but he's not performed well enough to warrant a place in the starting lineup, I'd be happy for him to go out on loan and prove he belongs in the ICT side. It's sad that Garry Wood has instead gone on loan after a promising preseason and to be honest it sometimes seems to me that team is picked on the basis that the regulars play when fit rather than taking a risk e.g. starting with Zander or Paatelainen. 2) We seem to be tactically quite naive, there was no plan B. I' have rather seen us loose 3-0 having switched to 3-5-2 or even 3-4-3 after the second goal went in. 3) Tokely, McCaffrey, Munro, Hastings looked like it could have been promising, but whereas at least looking bad upfront we have players who can come in and improve on todays showing, and hopefully there'll be a different midfield lining up at Fir Park, there's currently sod all we can do but hope that those four get some confidence back quickly. Overall I'm not too disappointed, just waiting to see what the rest of August brings.

if you could take 1 player from any other SPL team, who would it be?
Derek Young.... Seriously though, given I think we're thinnest at the back I'd either take Craig Gordon or Zander Diamond. If he hadn't just left the SPL it would've been Russell Anderson

Marius Niculae Signs For ICT
As far as I've worked out*: Niculae i - has refused the turquoise of Bursaspor and has chosen Scotland which has one hard May the championship for Europe. Fostul judoka dont you goes only that to Celtic or Rangers, but to famous unknown Inverness Caledonian. The Scottish club is younger than Niculae. They were established in 1994, when the player was already 13 years old. In 2004, Inverness were promoted to the first league in Scotland, and to inceputul this summers the management anuntase as the you co-opts on Hagi and Gica Popescu among the scouting staff. Only that l they brought it on Niculae whom give it 450,000 of euro on season. "There is no disgrace in taking the gamble to move to Scotland, to a little team. If I score goals there, I can arrive at Celtic or to Rangers. You want me only that as the from his Inverness arrive in England, where the championship is very strong. I give 10-15 goals go on Premier League" stated Marius Niculae. Stated enemy of Stelea, Once the goalkeeper with Dinamo shall be due to carries the gnawed colors. Transfer to Inverness is an adventure for Niculae. In his spare time the player can try what millions of tourists have done. Its the hunt for Nessie, famous monster of Loch Ness which can be found two kilometer from the stadium where Niculae will play. *Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any mistakes, misinterpretations or anything else wrong with this translation :p

Next Scotland boss
Who should it be? It should've been Gordon Strachan before Walter Smith took over. I'd like to see someone like Gary McAllister take charge with Alex Miller as assistant. McAllister has had some management experience, and Miller is used to doing his work out of the limelight, so I think it'd work a fair bit better than the Republic's Staunton + Robson team. Who will it be? Alex McLeish - and to be fair I can think of worse candidates...

Ideal Scotland Squad
After reading the post where the OP hoped that Gary Caldwell and Barry Ferguson didn't play, I was just wondering who people would pick if they were WS (in an ideal world with no injuries). I'll try and post mine up next time I'm online, but it's the end of my working day now =) P.S. Broonie for gk!

New Official website???
Blah, it's not too bad but it's not great. "First Team" thing on the right on the main page makes you scroll down too far, and more adverts to the right of that makes it so there's not much space for content, but that seems to be the way of a few websites. It also uses a few too many tables and too much javascript but accessability and usability wise it's no worse than here.I think once they get the content sorted and correct it'll just be your bog standard official club website. Premium TV is used by a good chunk of the english league, it's not surprising to see another club go down that route :( edit: on the front page there's a drop down list of clubs with prem-tv sites: http://www.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Home/0,,10822,00.html
