Was interesting to read bdu98196 thoughts on stats and do appreciate that goals may or not be critical in gaining points. So had a look at 3 strikers goals that we have gained points from, otherwise if they hadn’t scored in the game we would be these points worse off in the league. White 8 points Oakley 4 points Austin 3 points

Correct no assists stats . George obviously saw his future elsewhere , was just pointing out that the two strikers left have more goals in them than Oakley. So it’s not all doom and gloom .

We currently sit top of the away league, but third botom of home league. We sit second in form of last ten games overall, so if we can continue to improve our home form we will not be too far away at all.

I understand some feel that Oakley was arguably the best striker out of the three senior ones at the club. but stats both in appearance and start ratios to goals scored present a different picture. I agree with ictchris and maybe it was the correct decision to cash in on him if he wasnt in Robbos plans going forward.

Maybe not the best move for George as he could only get a few months in the premiership and then be back in the championship. The very fact we have allowed him to go means he wasnt in the longterm plans of Robbo as I wouldnt imagine we would have got a lot of money for him. Wish the lad well in his future career, maybe see him in the playoffs.

We have some amount of moaners in our diminishing fan base ?

Great watch but just as I thought gifts at the back two preventable goals due to mistakes. Cant be giving free kicks away like that and losing the ball allowing the attacker to run in on goal so easily , concentration is key at the back and needs worked on. In saying that it appeared we were gifted at least one goal too. Fantastic goal by Polworth tho what a shot , onwards to Patrick game now , 3 wins and 1 draw in our last 4 games can’t be bad as we look forward to County away in the cup . One thing for sure is these guys are resilient and deserve lots of praise for this, they seem to have a good team ethic and they fight for each other. So maybe we should stop the nit picking like I’ve done about the defence,and others have done about the attackers ,and just get behind the team every game enjoying the rollercoaster.

Wow sounds like a fantastic game well done to all the team. intersting to note that we are top of the away league so well done to all the away fans for the support you give the team because it could be a factor rather than the critics at the home games. Just a thought I had when looking at the tables cos we are third bottom for home results. Ive been to a good few away games and our support are brilliant but rubbish at home . Another two goals conceded tho , we really need to tighten up as we just make it so much more difficult for ourselves, was looking at Liverpool stats for season and they have scored the same number of goals as last season but conceded far less and are on verge of winning league, just goes to prove defences win leagues. So if we could tighten up at the back in the run in we may just have a wee chance.

Game on pitch passed inspection

Just watched Rangers game on tv and it’s interesting to see the chances Morelos misses and he is top scorer in Premiership. Goalscorers always miss more than they score but to win games teams have to keep it tight at the back, so I will say again we need to be better at the back to see out games. if we score two goals we should be winning games.

I really must take pen and paper to count the chances you are talking about because there certainly didn’t seem like 17 clear cut chances to score. Maybe it’s the wild shots from outside the box that’s adding to the count so maybe we should be trying to get the balls to the strikers inside the box as that’s where most goals come from. But that doesn’t discount my point of not conceding goals , to go into a match and score two goals, it’s disappointing to come away with only one point.

Nah it doesn’t matter who is in goals once again we concede more than one and it makes it so much harder to win games thats about 9/10 times we have conceded 2 or more goals and it needs addressed What really bugs me about the goal from the corner it seemed to me we didn’t have players covering the post which we should have , but let’s face it we shouldn’t concede direct from a corner kick. Started the game with 3 regulars out and should have won so decent performance overall. Not blaming the young keeper but as a team we need to tighten up the defence to not concede two goals.

Watched the game on tv and we certainly look a far better team than Ayr or The Arabs

Fair comment but if there was going to be a game on monday evening then this game is probably more local for both sets of fans than any other game.The bonus is you can watch on tv and save on travel costs. Just think its sad, that rather than look forward to a great game which is on live tv to endorse the fact that there is actually life in scottish football outside the central belt and the premiership we have fans advocating a boycott. Probably the same fans that would have complained had the broadcasters ignored the tie. Have to say Ive been amazed at the reaction because lets face it if we are on live tv the ko time and dates will most likely be changed , but this is one game that is surely easiest to adapt to this situation. Certainly lots better than the Ayr Utd game which was supposed to be live on friday night last month.

It’s called supporting your club , moaning about the game being on a Monday night is just ridiculous Its on tv we as a club get money and it’s a journey just over the bridge to Dingwall , very small minded to think otherwise

But we shouldnt bother what they do, fans can be the 12th man and last two games fans have been brilliant at their place.

Turnout in force sing loud and proud and then watch the recording when you arrive home to savour the victory. I prefer to look at life Glass half full.
