  1. 3 players below are not on list

Tom Walsh who is second top scorer

    Polworth probably top for assists

White who is top scorer and probably will be important in the playoffs

Just think it should have been open to all players like we do on the forum for match days.

    Strange one imo

  2. We are top of the away league but unfotunately we are 6th of the home league which has cost us the title.

Maybe if the home fans got behind the team in the same manner of the away fans then we would maybe produce more points.

In reality its the same team so I dont think they decide not to turn up for home games.

Same team different atmosphere so maybe Robbo was correct few months ago

Time for a performance on Saturday.

    Correct

even if what Jack says and we bottle it and lose our next two games we go into final game of season against Dunfermline 3 points ahead.

As much as I'd love to beat Hearts, I don't think we will.  We have a pretty decent first XI but take a couple of players out of it and we are pretty thin.  Hearts are an uninspiring team but they are solid, they will be properly organised and I think they'll probably be able to hurt us with Izpeazu especially.  Also, going forward I'm not sure we have enough to hurt Hearts.

Basically, if Hearts play as they usually do I'd expect them to win.  For us to win we'll need season-best performance from quite a few of our players, we'll need guys coming into the back four to have outstanding games, we'll need our attackers to play better than they have against anyone this season.  It's a tall order.

Thats a bit of a depressing post

Cmon I tbink we have a great chance to have a real go at them.

Hearts struggled against Partick and many of their own fans think they are s###.

But then again you dont think too highly of your own team ?

Couple of wee omens about our Scottish cup run

Jordan White is the current top scorer left in competition with 6 goals only second overall to Dobbie on 7

Joe Chalmers has just won goal of the the last round.

So cmon its not all doom and gloom.

Lets make some noise and support the boys.

I don't think it's unreasonable to expect full time professional footballers to be doing better than 65% for penalties.

I Didnt say more than 65%  was not achievable but 100% is unreasonable

I know it happens all the time but a professional footballer should be scoring a pen every time

Ray Stewart, when he played for West Ham, very rarely missed and he was a defender.

I recall he was once asked what was the key and he claimed he just run up and  blootered the ball!

The best players in the world have missed penalties so chances are we will miss pens too .

65% conversion rate could be improved on I’m sure , but expectation levels like your good self  is unrealistic.

Exclude the penalty shoot out and we have missed more than half the spot kicks we have been awarded. That is not good enough and we need to be more clinical if we are awarded any more penalties this season.

We should select two designated takers and have them practice for hours.

Exclude the penalty shoot out we wouldn’t be going to Hampden

so we can’t exclude them ?

Just need a bit of perspective and I did say we can improve.

Another missed penalty how many points has that cost us this season time it was sorted out could have cost points today had Brad not scored

    Lets get this in perspective

According to my memory we have had 14 pens this season including the penaly shoot out.

We have scored 9 and missed 5 so 65% conversion rate , oh how the yes voters in Scotland would yearn for that %.

So in reality we have scored more than we have missed but I do agree that we can improve, but to constantly go on about it especially when management does the same isnt helping the players when they step up to take a pen.

    Donaldson

    Polworth

    Welsh

    White

    Doran

These guys have all missed pens during a game this season, but lets remember 4 of them all scored in the penalty shoot out to take us forward in the Scottish Cup. So next week when we are all at Hampden it was goals scored from the penalty spot that got us the day in Glasgow.

On yesterday game some great summing up already in the forum from Rig Caley Stan and others, great to hear about the players having photos with the wee lass in her first game.

    Fantastic result.

  9. I have left it until now to comment on last nights game thinking after reflection I would feel less angry.

However Im not that refereeing performance last night was bordering on corrupt.

The worst decision was actually the one when he chose not to swcond book Draper for his foul on Polworth, then immeadiately booked Charlie for his second time. If he had done his job properly then Charlie wouldnt have made the tackle as we would have had a free kick as play would have been stopped to see Draper red carded.

It was a disgraceful performance by an inept refereee and his blind linesmen.

Too many decisions to go into but I have never heard so many fans disgusted by a refereeing performance as I heard last night, and  also on this forum.

I think we would have won the game had we kept 11 players on the pitch.

If I want to be harsh then it was two easy goals we lost and big Jordans penalty was not the best at all. However in saying that he and his team mates played the better football for long periods of the game only to be unlucky to be on the same field as a disgrace of a referee called Nick Walsh.

I honestly believe the referee cost us the game last night. I will certainly remember the name  Nick Walsh as the guy who had the worst refereeing performance that Ive witnessed in the flesh for a long time.

Does two posts after a performance like that qualify as 'constantly' ? Really?

Hard to find the positives on that performance.

    Lighten up.

No two comments dont but thats not your first however.

He was no way the worst performer yesterday and he certainly isnt a big Jessie on the park as you suggested rather he fights for the team leading the line in a battling way but hardly gets any protection for fouls against him from the ref.

Yeah maybe he did go down easily at times ,could it be to gain fouls as if he dosent go down he hardly gets anything.

We all see things differently and can criticise players for performances, but insulting comments about the players isnt really needed surely.

Now I will lighten up as you say,and you have a good weekend too.

Me and you will be agreeing after we take County to the cleaners on Tuesday.

Aye, we were poor but Falkirk set out to stifle and did so.  6 months ago we would have lost that type of game.  Bring on the gadgies I say.  The brown stuff just got slightly more real ??

I agree Falkirk are a stuffy team , but we were as poor as Ive seen this season, which is a shame because 3 points would have been good.

Amongst a team that looked like they had been out on the pish the night before I thought our big Jessie up front looked like he had the most to drink.

I can't help myself?? No. It just had to be said. ?

'Rediculous'...you could get some work with comic relief for that level of pun.

    Keep 'em coming.

Why do you have to constantly have to be insulting and negative in your opinion of White?

Regarding your user name it just had to be said and I have given my reasons for it, so would like your reasons to my question.

What a ridiculous thing to say regarding MotM. Get over yourself. Yes his distribution was poor, a lot of that was down to the brisk wind, but he mopped everything up that came his way.

what was rediculous in what i said regarding motm ?

Lets face it everybody has a bad day at the office. We have enjoyed three wins on the trot and one point will suffice. No need to inspire the team for Tuesday. At the moment I would take another point but three may put us in a bit of a very unexpected comfort zone. It is nice to see football talk albeit criticism. Easy to see the individuals who would rather spend their time having a pop at the Board or other posters. I have to confess that, as a Christian on the sabbath, I find it difficult to understand but it will not stop me from saying a prayer for the inflicted at my place of worship later today.

Maybe you are having a wee pop at other posters too ?

I agree with you it was a bad day at office but we have Tuesday to look forward to.

  15. 1 hour ago, tm4tj said:

    Why not?

Because as I have already said not one player really had anywhere near a motm performance

Colls distribution especially first half was atrocious as all the back four.Tremarco looked as if he couldnt pass a ball to a teammate.None of rhe playaers were at it.I actually laughed when it was announced.

Ridgers was the only player who wasnt awful yesterday so if that qualifies for being motm he would have been mine.

    Robbo said after prevous game

    "Not good enough"

He should have reserved that comment for yesterday.

Well, Gregor,  that's kinda obvious perhaps...…….just whip back up and check to see if you called Satan's posted name as "stupid." Different perhaps but so are many other names on here. There's even a guy from Canada who chooses a name so immature that he must be in his dotage....eh?

    OMG, what have I done?...… please don't answer.:mountie:

    I did

Maybe I find the name offensive rather than stupid so for saying stupid I apologise.

I do find it offensive tho as a Christian however.

  18. It was a terrible performance by all the team today

    End of story

However maybe Robbo learnt a lesson in his over the top criticism of his team from the last game in which I thought they had played so well for 80 mins.

He should have reserved that for today which was just probably the worst game I have seen us play all season.

Moral of the story dont overly criticise when we play well and win but leave it it until we are totally rubbish like today.

How on earth we even had the audacity to have a motm today is incredible as that performance was shambolic.

Om the plus point we didnt lose and Im am sure we will perform so much better on Tuesday.

I predict a two one win against County.
