Coll Donaldson MotM by a mile for me. Always going to be a tough job and they needed the point more than us. Given the other results it's an opportunity missed to pressurise those above. That said it's another hard earned point.

    Why ?

Bloody horror show from start to finish. Slightly more threat when our useless forward went off. For such a big unit he's a bit soft in the challenge.

Hearts will be looking forward to playing us.

You cant help yourself and why dont you change your stupid user name

    Its rediculous

May be a moot point but a fans forum is usually read by fans who already go to the games...need alternative means of reaching out to those elusive fans.

Maybe more read it who don’t go to games actually

Seven league games, four of them at home and a possible three home play off matches to come.

With our current form, promotion is a real possibility. That possibility could be enhanced with larger and more vocal home support, the away support is fantastic and has never been an issue.

It's clear folk have stayed away for a variety of reasons from issues with the board to our poor home form and results earlier in the season but it's time for those folk to return and play their part.

An extra thousand or so fans loudly backing the team would inspire the players and be the difference between another season in the Championship and a possible end to full time football  and a much brighter prospect in the Premiership.

Whatever your reasons for staying away, come back and let's rediscover TOGETHERNESS.

Couldn’t agree more the very fact we are top of the league in away games would back out what you say.

Which in reality is what the manager said weeks ago but was slaughtered for it as folks took it the wrong way.

Replicate Caleyaway fans at home would make so much difference as we really can be the 12th man.

  5. Very good performance last night for 80 mins or so , we look confident and all players seem to playing for each other. The two lads Rooney and McHattie who were re introduced to the team slotted in well.

Solid all over the park and that’s now six wins in the last 7 games , we are on a roll , but as like many times before we concede two goals which means we need 3 to win.

However we shouldn’t let this ruin which was otherwise a very good performance and result and the players have grown into a team.

Im feeling very confident going into the latter part of the season.

75000 combined?  You're having a giraffe!! Even assuming 50000 for the other game, there's no chance our game will do 25000.  Take off the SFA/Sponsor/club freebies as well.  A not inconsiderable number of tickets will be concession and in the cheaper seats, so I think we'll be struggling to do £20/ticket average.  Then there's all our own expenses, player bonuses, accomodation (I imagine they'll stay down at least the night before) etc.

So, yeah, gross income may be more...but, as I said, net figure will be lucky to get into 6 figures.

£100K is not to be sniffed at and it will probably be more.

  7. Surely if one semi final is at Hampden the other one should be there too. I think to take away the venue at this stage is unfair on players and fans alike.

Everybody thought the semi final was going to be at Hampden so thats is where it should be.

If rules on semi finals venues are to be changed it should be done from next season so all  clubs and fans ade aware of possibility of other neutral venue.

Some players have never played at the national staduim and to take it away at this stage is not  correct imo.

Mark Ridgers was in paper yesterday saying he has been there 3 times as a sub but never actually  played before.

I understand the argument that only the final should be played there but that should be the case for all clubs.

I have had a look at Hearts fans forum and they feel that Robbo is trying to be cute in getting game played at Eastwr Road as this would give us more of a chance than being played at Hampden.

As far as Im comcerned this season should be Hampden as planned.

Robbo will be here, but hardly think we should be looking to erect a statue of him yet. Our league form has been patchy and inconsistent with numerous issues documented - the fact we are in play-off contention is more an indication of the quality of the league as a whole rather than just our team and as it stands we can equally still be well outside top4 come end of season. As for the cup a Hampden trip and semi is great but other than 2 Championship clubs we havent played a single Premiership team on route - the draw has been favorable and we will take it but we are hardly storming along.

    Wow what a depressing post

We have put league leaders County and Dundee Utd out of the cup and the money we will gain is so needed

you are definitely a glass half empty person

incredible negativity after such a great day yeaterday

  11. Absolutely fantastic performance from all the team and the fans were excellent too.

Best atmosphere at the stadium all season.

Maybe I won’t get ridiculed anymore with my thoughts about a certain player ?

However this was a real team effort and they all deserve so much praise for their performances over the two cup games against County , maybe we can dream of another Hampden visit.

  12. I think we need to vary our formation at times as I’ve said before two up front certainly produces more opportunities, but I am aware that really good performances have been with using 4231 as in all games v County and one of the best performances this season against Partick when we went 3 goals up in first half only to lose two late on.

I think Saturdays performances from the players or lack of it, was down to them thinking about tonight’s game and I’m sure we will get a good performance tonight.

One thing was evident from Saturday if we play 4231 we need to play Polworth in the centre of the 3 , Doran and Walsh appeared to show us they are not comfortable in the middle  to pick a pass as Polworth does when he plays there.

Hands down one of the worst performances from an ICT that I can recall in a long time, especially that first 45 minutes. We were all over the shop. McCart, who until recently had been a very solid performer, was uncharacteristically sloppy with a number of sliced clearances and slack passes but he got better as the game wore on as did the likes of Trafford who was something of a headless chicken until we went to 442 and he seemed to be a lot more effective. White struggled badly until Austin came on. He (White) didn't get much service and when the ball did come his way he was largely dominated by Ashcroft who was excellent yesterday as were Connolly and Vincent for the home side.

McCauley should have been sent off. After he was booked he committed two needless fouls that both could have resulted in a second booking so it was no surprise when Robbo took him off for MacDonald. Pars had a weak penalty claim when Anderson seemed to go down quite easily. Maybe any highlights will show something different but I wasn't convinced at the time.

Second half Dunfermline started much the better side. I don't know what Robbo said to the players at the break but most seemed to be still sleepwalking when Thomson dribbled across goal then lashed a shot past Ridgers who seemed to be caught by a deflection or by McCart ducking out of the way or something. Disappointing goal to concede but we were lucky not to be two down when Connolly battered the crossbar with a lovely shot just outside the area.

We started to come back into the game when Doran went off and Austin came on giving White a bit more support up front and we started to create some half chances. Walsh had perhaps the best opportunity for an equaliser when he drove towards goal and was afforded a lot of time and space to shoot from about 20 yards but he sent the ball well over. White and Mckay passed up a couple of decent chances to bring us back on level terms but they shot wide of / over the goal.

A seriously disappointing performance after what was a good showing on Monday night against County. We were missing arguably three of our most important players in Donaldson, Polworth and Welsh however if we want to stay in the playoff spot we need to improve our performances quickly.

    Good summing up Rig

Somehow, we cling on to the final play off spot but a side suffering consecutive league defeats to PatrickThistle and Dunfermline has no real chance of promotion. Very disheartening.

Partick are on a good run to be fair but agree it was a bad day today.

    So we are 4th but 9 points from.3rd and 9 points from 9th ?

But we are in fourth position all we need to be for play offs

No way we are challenging for top place

We did improve slightly when went two up but attitude and performance nothing like Monday night.

Bad keeping for the goal unfortunately which gave an average pars team victory.

  16. Wasn’t aware you could change numbers during the season unless the original player was no longer registered as a player.

so had a visit to spfl site and the rules regarding this is what it says,

A Player's shirt number with any Club in the Premiership or the Championship must remain with him for the duration of the Season unless either:

G26.1 he ceases to play for a Club in which case his shirt number will become 65
    available for allocation to new members of the First Team Squad;

    or

G26.2 for other reasons satisfactory to the Board in its absolute discretion.

So either way it appears Beith won’t play for us this season.
