The main issue is why it's Monday at all...ties were supposed  to be on the weekend of the 9th/10th.

Monday 11th ticks neither of those boxes.

    I predict a riot.

    Correct

    Dingwall on a Monday night

Walking though town is quite scary

  3. The boy certainly has a good bit of experience and would appear to bring a bigger goal threat than our other midfielders having scored 46 career goals from 179 starts , albeit at a different level than some of the other boys in our midfield. This has to be borne in mind as Trafford has scored 12 goals in his career but not scored for us.

So hopefully his assists are decent too, can’t get details on this

    for comparison starts/goals

    McCauley 179 / 46

    Doran 171 / 32

    Walsh 98 / 19

    Polworth 152 / 17

    Welsh 155/ 14

    Trafford 102 / 12

    Chalmers 102 / 5

So on paper this is a decent signing , well done to Robbo in securing the transfer.

Probably the best post of the year so far. Well said.

Leaving aside his medical difficulties the boo boys seem to neglect the fact that he is our top scorer into double figures with almost half the league season to go.

If he is reading this thread, he should appreciate that 98% of ICT fans are fully behind him and the small but vocal minority who are not are never happy unless they are moaning about something or somebody.

    Well said KM

listened to the interview and thought wow you have certainly come through a lot Bigman.

Great to hear he is enjoying his football and seems to love being part of the club.

He has also scored goals wherever he has played as Kenny Crawford pointed out , it’s worth a listen but I’m not the best with links ?

We won with ease, scored four goals and with a bit of good fortune, could have doubled that, we kept a clean sheet. Is it really time to publicly criticise any of our own players ?

Keeper had probably another four very good saves , totally agree Kingsmills that was a very professional performance yesterday.

Great attitude from all the players imo.

I probably feel the same way but sincerely hope that the players and management don't take that view unless or until it becomes arethmetically impossible.

Certainly think playoffs are within our grasp and after that take each game as it comes , add that to knocking County out of the cup and it may turn into a decent season.

Shouldn't disrespect the opposition Alan, if the players go out with that attitude it wont end well, I expect EK to be well organised and if we get sloppy they will score. I think it will be tighter than you think.

It’s not the opposition he is disrespecting Wynthank15 it’s one of our own players.

However I agree with you. we need to be very careful, but we should beat them.

We are creating quite a lot.  In the last 10 games we are averaging over 12 shots at goal a game. I doubt we have had many periods in our history when we have had more.  It 's a reflection of a team that is looking to get forward and play attractive forward.  I accept we have missed a few chances that should have been taken, but in the last 3 games we have had a bit of bad luck.  Fox was MOTM against County and the woodwork came to the aid both of Queens and Ayr.  With a little more luck and confidence/composure in front of goal we could be turning a few more of these chances into goals.  We are not far from being a pretty good side.

Always seem to be in agreement with you and I am again

It's extremely difficult to sign players with a proven scoring record in your division at any time - you have to either pay a transfer fee or get them on a free and therefore offer them significantly better wages than anyone else.  It's especially difficult in January as nobody wants to sell goalscorers and few players are out of contract.  So we have to try and pull a signing out of the hat, from the lower leagues or a player released from higher divisions or something totally left field.  We used to be good at this but in the last few years we've been very poor.

The last player we signed in January who was actually good was probably Alex Fisher, who we then never played when he was fit and got relegated.  He'd been playing abroad before signing for us and was thus available.

    Just out of interest

What would you and others deem a proven scoring record?

Put a bit extra and get someone who nos the league makes sense speculate to accumulate obvs give him a chance but really at 25 if you ha White is gash big deal he scores the odd goal

scores the odd goal you say

10 odd goals in 16 odd starts ?

    White is gash you say

Your constant comments about White are what’s gash imo ?

But you keep having your opinion mate as they make me smile ?

  13. Well mixed bag on here but isn’t it great to bask in a win

Yes I stand corrected we won once again with one up front when I’ve been advocating a two up

However White was pretty decent today don’t you think, as I’ve been saying for weeks, and it’s good to see others giving him some plaudits tonight.

Best I’ve seen Chalmers tbh but as one other poster said it was very similar to last weeks performance  but this week we managed to keep the door shut at the back which is crucial.

If our Board was seriously looking at promotion this season, then they would be pumping money into the club and Robbo would have a better range of players to achieve this aim.

Existing players would then be parting company with the club, but Robbo wouldn't.

Robbo would then win promotion, like he did the last time he was with us, and the Board pumped money into the club.

Money, as it turns out, that the club couldn't really afford!

The problem is you just can’t move on a host of players on who are under contract but you can part company with the manager far easier and promote the assistants just like Dunfermline. So I’m not sure  he will survive regardless of results.
