  1. If thats the case then why involve the SFL?
  2. The only friday night game I went to was 14th November 2003. We were cruising before the break with goals from Bingo (30), Hissie (31) and Bazza (33). A game that finished 3-3 with County getting the equaliser on the 90th minute. Some 3500 souls turned out that night.
  3. Stuck this here because I dont recall any mention of This Guy Interesting ne feature of SFL website where players and clubs can advertise.
  4. I just cant, for the life of me, see any advantages in it at all. Were it just the SPL then I'd say perhaps TV has something to do with it. It does nothing to alleviate the fixture backlogs and the police believe it will add to friday night crime figures.
  5. Not sure about this one. Will friday night football increase crowds? Probably if compared with a midweek night but not a saturday.

I would think we are. We've now a squad of 28 which is 4 more than Terry envisaged a couple of months ago. Besides Sutton is still under contract at Hearts so I dont think he can move anywhere without them terminating his contract. Dont think he can be taken on loan either in the SPL outwith the window.
  7. Your carwash manny at Tesco is making a wage for himself. The club need to make wages for a lot more people. Not knocking your ideas. Just questioning them. I can't see them making the sorts of money thats needed. 30 or 40 people buy an extra drink makes a profit of maybe ?80. 50 cars in HN park @ ?1. How many cars can a manny wash in a couple of hours. Even if he could do 1 in five mins thats only 24 cars. ?2 profit per car? Total comes to less than ?200. Would it be worth the effort of organising it all? The best way that ICT can generate income is through sponsorship but to get the big sponsors requires success. Success may also increase the fanbase by a few hundred. Improving on merchandise may also help but even that is a gamble. Outlay is needed before profit is made and in the current climate the profit margins are very low. City centre shop would be great if there weren't the overheads. Even daily use, if the customers were there, of the stadium facilities incurs cost.
  8. C&P from CIA website within Bosnia and Herzegovina's recognized borders, the country is divided into a joint Bosniak/Croat Federation (about 51% of the territory) and the Bosnian Serb-led Republika Srpska or RS (about 49% of the territory); the region called Herzegovina is contiguous to Croatia and Montenegro, and traditionally has been settled by an ethnic Croat majority in the west and an ethnic Serb majority in the east Personally I think its more likely that the country of Bosnia-Herzegovina would be reduced in size by parts of it being taken over by Serbia and Croatia rather that a new country being formed. As things stand at the moment this country is working very hard to become full members of the EU and of NATO so I wouldn't think they'd jeoperdise that with internal unrest. I do, however, think there will be more breakaway countries formed within the former Soviet Union in the not too distant future and that the UEFA membership will increase. None of that is going to help our chances of reaching finals.......not unless we can convince the great players from those countries that they are really Scottish.
  9. Personally I've never found the bar to be a problem though I must admit the times I've been in its been early on before any crowds arrive and I would have left half hour before ko. HN carpark? Why? We have our own carpark and charge double what you suggest. So long as the police insist that home fan vehicles must turn left only onto Stadium road speedy exits will never happen. How many people do you think would utilize a carwash?
  10. Because its p!ssing rain here I have some time on my hands for further research. In the twelve games Collum has refereed us he has awarded our players 22 yellow cards and 1 red. All of those games where he has given us a card have been away from home. He has never given one at the two previous games he officiated at TCS. Had I included these facts above I wonder what motives would I have been accused of.
  11. If the club is struggling to balance the books just now what chance have they got of raising the tens of millions required for a new stadium. I think, if the country gets out of recession and the local plan for the Longman area goes ahead the stadium is in the perfect location where it is.
  12. Never ceases to amaze me how some people can view facts as some sort of conspiracy theory. I posted facts on a referee and included his record in games involving us because it is us he will be refereeing tomorrow. Where that turns to me saying he has an anti ICT bias I just cant see. I never said he was biased towards anyone. Indeed I never even said what his card count was amongst ICT players. Just overall and games we were involved in.
  13. I dont think that can happen. Bosnia-Herzegovina is the name of one single country. There is no geographic border between the two names. Total population is less that 4 million and is made up of Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats.
  14. Collum became a Scottish League referee in 2004. Since starting he has officiated at 189 game, dished out 566 yellows and 58 reds. He has officiated at 12 games involving ICT and dished out 45 yellows and 3 reds.
  15. Didn't intend to sound like I was slating Flybe and I know they continue to invest in Inverness but they did time their main sponsorship withdrawal at the time of our demotion. At that same time they announced they were separating from Southampton FC who were also relegated. They also stopped sponsorship of Norwich and Birmingham at the time they had been relegated. Flybe have shown they dont like relegation
  16. Dont know what the criterea would be but, unless other nations qualify to play in tournament, there will still be 51 nations playing in the qualifiers. At the moment thats spread as six groups of six and three of five. I can see that staying the same with first and second from each group qualifying and possibly best four third places from each of the groups of six + current champions + host nation. I know its Uefa we're talking about but that would be the most sensible way.
  17. It is imperative that we stay in SPL and drastically improve our position within it. We obviously need sponsorship. No disrespect to Orion but their contribution just isn't enough to sustain us. We need a big name. Someone with a UK wide if not Global reputation. Flybe gave us that but unfortunately they weren't prepared to put their name to a lower league team. We also need a gate increase but that is unlikely to happen in the short term. We let a number of staff go when we went down and as far as I know these have not been replaced to the same extent. We are operating with a smaller pool of players on smaller wages than we paid previously. We have probably made as much cutbacks as is possible so increasing income is about the only way we can survive. To increase that income to any great extent means we must have a strong product to offer. That product has to achieve results in a consistant basis and get us up the table to a position where we are more talked about and our sponsors name is more widely seen. A product that will have more people wanting to pay for it. We also need to do more in our marketing. Be more frequent in reminding people of such initiatives as 'buy a brick'. Do more to try and increase sales of merchandise. Promote the bar and hospitality more. Remind people that they can purchase shares in the company. Perhaps even look into promoting the Kingsmill Suite as a conference and function venue. St Johnstone utilise their hospitality suite on a daily basis for meals and are always sold out. Could we not benifit from similar. The bottom line........WE NEED MORE MONEY
  18. Thats exactly how I see it CD. We desperately need long term investment.
  19. Think you'll find KC is very much his own man
  20. Willie 'card happy' Collum
  21. George has indicated he will step down from the board, as well as the chair, sometime after the AGM. That leaves a place on the board for someone else to come in. Personally, I dont think it will be Mr Savage. The American investors want representation on the board and maybe they plan on providing the Chair in the future. I know IHE has put his insights on another thread and these are very plausable but I feel they may just be pie in the sky and that the new investment proposals are more firmly on the ground. I question Frasers resignation. Is it a part of the requests from the new people? What is a six figure invetment? Is it ?100,000 or ?999,999? Are we being blinded by the sound of 'six figure sum'? Is this sum just enough to keep us in the black for one more year or is there serious investment that will sustain our club, and push us forward, in the long term? Our accounts dont really make good reading this year. We had a deficit of ?190,000. Granted that was a vast improvement on the previous year but we had an investment of ?250,000 and a further input, as a result of the sale of the social club, of ?280,000. We also had loans from directors. Thats over half a million of unplanned for income yet we still report a loss. How do we cope next season and the one after that. Our fanbase is not growing. Our income stream seems to be shrinking. Our costs are increasing. We need people to come in who can turn all that around and if George see's his stepping down as something that will bring that on then he has to be admired.
  22. George is staying but only in the short term. Perhaps to conclude deals with exile investors.
  23. On paper we shouldn't beat Spain but we have shown on many occassions that we can match the stronger opposition so I wouldn't rule it out. We did come back at them at Hampden.Could we manage a point of them. That may be enough..............................provided we beat the Lichties
  24. Thats a bit of a surprise though it seems to only be a temporary position. I thought someone from outside would have been brought in but that could still happen. Interesting to see who's brought onto the board to replace George. Someone who does not appear in IHE's tealeaves. All the best Kenny. I'm sure you'll do well for the club no matter how long your in the position.
  25. If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied, in the order given, to determine the rankings: a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question; b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question; c) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question; d) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question; As things stand at the moment Czech's only need one point from their two games to qualify on the above criterea, assuming we finish level on points. We need to aim for all six to have the slightest chance.
