Playing surface
If you want to slow a team down then you let the grass grow a bit. Slows the ball. Makes it harder to control. Hopefully you'll have let your own team get a bit of time to learn the surface though. I think it worked. They couldn't play a fast passing game. Personally I think Tommy was doing his best to preserve the little growth thats been in it over the last week or so in the hope he'll be able to present a quality pitch longer into the winter.

ICT -V- Celtic : Matchday Thread
Do you have any evidence? Did you complain to stewards? Eh when i say school kids section (cos thats where they usually sit ) i mean " singing section " area & i think the fact they were all wearing green & white was evidence enough !! As for complaining to stewards your having a laugh :hahaha: :hahaha: Is this the seated area of the west stand your referring to or the south wing of the main stand? If its the main stand section then these seats have been sold to OF fans in the past. Makes good sense to try and increase gate reciepts rather than have them empty.

Why do Celtic dread playing us
The full statement from Here Kris Commons fears Celtic could suffer another upset at Inverness unless every player turns up fully focused on grinding out a win.Neil Lennon?s team saw their hopes of winning last season?s Scottish Premier League dashed in a 3-2 loss at the Caledonian Stadium, allowing Rangers to claim the title by a point. Commons heads north again with his Celtic team-mates this weekend and says the surroundings his team will play in demands 100 per cent effort from everyone selected. ?When you do go to Inverness, it's the sort of atmosphere you dread when you're not quite at the races,? he said. ?You can quite easily concede goals. It's not a nice place to go and play football. ?Terry Butcher will have them fired up and if all 11 players aren't quite at the races, or not quite up for the challenge and the battle, you do lose matches there. ?That's why we found it hard there last year. There were certain players who didn't stand up to the challenge. ?It's a long way away. The stadium's not the greatest. It's just one of those players when you've got 11, honest good footballers and you're not quite at it, you end up conceding goals. ?It certainly gives them a massive boost, fans and players, when you concede goals there, and they think they've got a chance of beating you. ?If we don't go there with the right attitude, we'll get turned over.? Inverness go into the fixture buoyed by a 6-3 win in their last match at Kilmarnock, but Commons says there is an urge for Celtic to gain revenge. ?I think we've got unsettled business up there,? he said. ?We felt hard done by [last season].?

Goals against
We will start building points. We will stay up. And at the end of the season the goals against wont matter a jot.

Gazza ICT Coach? Gulp!
Dont think they quite understand the meaning of the word chastising !!! I wonder do you........or do you just choose one of the two meanings that the dictionaries produce? (v. t.) To inflict pain upon, by means of stripes, or in any other manner, for the purpose of punishment or reformation; to punish, as with stripes. (v. t.) To reduce to order or obedience; to correct or purify; to free from faults or excesses.

Gazza ICT Coach? Gulp!
Every person, from every walk of life, will have an opinion on the saga that is Paul Gascoine. Butcher has admitted he thought about a way that may, or may not, have helped the man. He dismissed that thought very quickly. Paul Gascoine, like many before him, and many to come, is a victim of his own success. He was brought up through the very lowest end of our classless society. He had niether the skills nor the understanding to cope with the fruits of his success. On a few occassions he was built up then hammered back down again by the British press. He made mistakes. He became involved with unsavioury people. Basically he f***ed up. Now he is paying for all that. Throughout his successful times nobody came along that could help him cope with his successes. He had no guidance on the right side. Perhap's if PG had had the father figure that is Alex Ferguson and the support and guidance throughout his life that MU affords their young stars then he may have turned out a very different person. As it was he was left to his own devices so long as he turned up to train and play. Paul Gascoine done wrong. He paid for those wrongs with convictions, with loss of his wealth and with loss of his health. 44 years old looking like 84 and likely to be dead by 54 if he continues in his ways. We can all chastise the man for his past wrongdoings but perhaps its time the society that made him and broke him got to grips and helped rehabilitate him.

Kilmarnock -V- ICT : Matchday Thread
I have had a similar vision but it was 4-0 and Lennon got the boot and the North Stand sang "Juanjo" 9-8. A Tade double hatrick for good measure and an own goal by Ledley. The other two Davis and Shinnie. Lennon chucks a crate of bottles into the stand after our fourth goal and is arrested and spends the night in the Port before facing the Celtic board on Sunday for his marching orders.

Team for Celtic
If all those you list are going to Parkhead then who's left at home to play Celtic.

Mckay
Like every other team member McKay has to work his way into the first team. That is obviously not happening at the minute. I'm sure it will at some point but as things stand who gets dropped to make way for him.

Stadium Frontage
And what do you suggest we do with the business it serves.

Sunday Mail
Never seen the paper in question but let me get this right. Their team of the day included Shiels of Kilmarnock Tokely of ICT and A. Shinnie of ICT. Struggling to see where the divide is here.

Could terry b move to hibernian ?
In my opinion, and even a blind man with a tenth of IHE's foresight would see that, even though the press claim there are forty applicants, and perhaps there are, the new manager of Hibs is already in place. A few weeks ago, when the press were suggesting, and the fans calling for, the removal of Colin Calderwood, Pertrie brought Billy Brown in as assistant. Not at the behest of Calderwood I may add. To me that smacks of a chairman knowing what was going to happen and bringing someone in that would learn a bit about the club for a period before taking over thus avoiding the unrest of bringing someone in from the cold. I believe it was always planned that Billy Brown would be the manager of Hibs and that Butcher, or anyone else, was never in the picture.

Team for Celtic
I would have thought Terry and Mo will be more concerned about how we play against them at TCS before even considering a game as far away as Feb 11th.

International breaks
We bucked the trend by puting six past Killie. We'll do it again by claiming our first back to back wins of this season. Get it right up you Mr. Lennon.

Does the league table lie
Cast minds back two years. To a time when we were fifteen points behind our nearest rivals. The teams we were up against then were as much on a par with us as we are now with the bottom eight clubs in SPL this season. In that season we finished the league above all else with twelve points to spare. There is no reason to think we cant start to climb this season and finish well up the table.

Butcher OUT!
For anyone who cant be ersed looking on P&B below are the ramblings of ICT's No. 1 fan...............There can be only one caleyfan.

CTO Fans - Give yerselves a round of applause
Got to disagree. I think narcissis are very attractive. There's nothing nicer on a spring day to see those beautiful yellow flowers brighten up the day.
