Some people appear to be very ungrateful. Freezing the prices is a discount. Early bird is a discount. Only three weeks to find money to qualify for early bird. Sorry but this offer has been made every season so you've had a years notice at least.Early bird for North stand is equivalent to £16 a game. One of the better deals in the league and yet some still feel the need to complain.

I dont think its fair to compare the 'tramp' with the homeless of the post Thatcher era. The 'tramp' or 'milestone inspector' as they were sometimes called, chose that lifestyle. They travelled the roads, usually with a bicycle loaded with their belongings, and picked up a bit of work here and there to keep them if food and drink. I remember two or three who would appear in Roy Bridge every so often. Neither should the 'tramp' be confused with the highland tinker. The tinkers, of which the aforementioned McPhee's and Williamsons were, travelled the highlands and lowlands working the fields and doing jobs for householders in the towns and villages. Many folks confuse the tinkers with Gypsy Travellers though, through the years there has been inter-mingling. The tramp, tinker and Gypsy chose not to have permanent homes, preferring to travel around to reap the fruits of the seasons and they enjoyed their lifestyles up until they became persecuted in the late seventies, early eighties. Persecution that was brought about by those who chose to adopt a similar lifestyle but refused to work and instead robbed and pillaged and lived of state subsidy. Namely the 'New Age Traveller'.

Miller is / was a shareholder in Healthsports Inc. He had nothing whatsoever to do with the running of that company. He maybe has been involved in a couple of enterprises that have failed but he has also made a fortune out of taking companies that were on their knees and turning them around. He is reported as a man who is hurt by failure and thrives on success. He obviously believes he can turn Rangers around.

Contrary to what Laurence may think an oil well or a gas well is not a hole in the ground. The oil and gas are held in pores in the rock. Hydraulic fracturing (fracking) causes cracks in the rock that release the oil and gas. Many of the oil and gas fields in the North sea are held within sandstone rock which doesn't need much fracking but instead can be swept into the well by water injection. Its a shame the protesters couldnt learn a bit about our oil and gas reserviors before wasting their and everyone elses time. Underground water courses lie up to a few hundred feet beneath the surface. Oil and gas wells lie a few thousand feet and more. Some up to three miles below the surface. It is not possible for one to affect the other.

Aberdeen do not pay their players much more than we do.
-
Ian Black will easily find a team down south that can pay him similar to his Hearts wage. Neither us nor County could afford to match that.
-
So expect Scottish football to fall flat on its face very soon.

When replying to a topic my 'post' button doesn't work. To make the reply I need to click 'more reply options' and post from there. Any idea's as to the problem?

Integrity is about honesty and trust. The SPL is run by dishonest people who cant be trusted. Are we willing to support that and continue to be the laughing stock of the world or do we support an entertainment media that does display integrity? Gabby, your assumptions on losses are based on lies from the leaders of the SPL and the idea that TV would walk away from a league without Rangers. No TV company has come forward and said they would walk away. The only persons who indicated such are those who were in the pockets of Rangers and Celtic. If Scottish football cant be successful without Rangers then Scottish football doesn't deserve to survive.

Avoiding tax is one thing. Failing to pay the tax and National Insurance of their staff is something totally different. If that is not paid then its the employee's who lose out in the benefits available. Pensions could be affected. Sick pay could be affected. Rangers have, illegally, held on to money that is the employee's contribution to the state. If that goes unpunished then the whole system is a total farce and one that I couldn't be supportive of. Lets look at whats really happening. The American is buying the assets and the business from Rangers FC for an undisclosed sum. That sum will go towards paying off the debt Rangers owe though I dont see it being enough to totally clear all debt so an element of CVA will happen. Many people will lose out. They cant now sue against the assets because these no longer belong to Rangers FC. Rangers FC have a banning order against hiring players over 19. I presume this ban will not apply to the newco. The newco will have no debt so will they be allowed a Uefa licence? It seems to me that a squeeky clean Rangers will emerge from all this with no sanctions against them while the old company will just disappear into the mire without punishment for their years of fraudulent history.

Think many are missing my point. My views are nothing to do with boycott of individual teams. I refuse to have anything to do with a corrupt football league. A league so corrupt that they will support a team that has broken the law of the land. Sorry but I wont support that. If I dont pay my due taxes I could go to jail. They dont pay and get off with it and with full support of the league.
-
This is not about punishing a particular team. This is about protesting against the enethical means by which this new Rangers are going to be treated in the SPL. Sorry but if the clubs vote to accept the new Rangers then I wont be supporting the clubs. I will be one of the 60 odd thousand Scottish football fane who have indicated they will stop supporting Scottish football. The message to the clubs is simple. Drop the newco team and survive of accept the newco team and die.
-
I will not vote in the poll. League integrity should not need to be paid for. Break the rules accept the punishment. If a new Rangers stay in the SPL I will be restricting my football attendance, as will many others. If the funds available are more evenly spread then clubs shouldnt feel the demise of Rangers. If fans stay away because the league cannot maintain any sort of integrity, and allow Rangers Newco entry, then clubs will be hit even harder. Having a deal more time on my hands now I may decide to purchase a couple of season tickets for next season but I will hold that decision until I know what happens with Rangers.

Would have loved to be at the game wed night but sadly I have to be in Edinburgh to celebrate my retirement.

Interesting to see we have the worst disciplinery record in the whole division , will we get a fine at the end of the season ? No we don't...we have most red cards, but not the worst record....not by a long shot. A very short shot Don ............................Red....Yellow Aberdeen............ 6.........62 Celtic.................. 5.........31 Dundee U........... 1.........46 Dunfermline........ 2.........53 Hearts................. 4.........67 Hibs.................... 2.........83 ICT.....................,7..........68 Killie.................... 3........ 52 Motherwell.......... 5......... 62 Rangers............. 6......... 66 St Johnstone...... 2......... 69 St Mirren............ 3......... 66 Add it up as three points for red and one for yellow and the league table is: Hibs.....89 ICT......89 Ran.....84 Ab'dn...80 Hea.....79 Mot'w...78 St. J.....75 St Mi....75 Kil'k.....61 Dunf....59 DU......49 Cel......46 Basically our record is atrocious
-
hahahaha no kidding! Infact we almost deserve to go down on this seasons performances. With the recent turnaround in DAFC's performances I'd say we were the worst team in the division and have to agree we probably do deserve to go down . Cant agree with your so called turnaround. They've won one and drawn three in last ten games. Exactly the same as we have done. What we need to do is match them starting with a draw on wed night.
-
Personall I think our discipline record is bad enough without adding to it.......................................................but I'd still have Blackie back.

It never ceases to amaze me the way folks get their knickers in a twist about something with such a blinkered attitude. GMS impressed at Clach. We are an SPL team. Clach are Highland league and not really doing that well there. Of course he's going to impress at Clach. GMS is doing very well in Dundee and fits in well with the team around him. Would he have fitted in as well with the team we'd have provided around him? Would he even fit in so well with any other of the top flight teams? Nobody knows so getting all het up about what never happened is just plain stupid.

Got to disagree with you Johndo. The club spokesperson didn't need to respond at all. To suggest they are being defensive in their response is plain silly. For years many people have complained about the lack of information passed down from the club. One person posts his concerns about what he has heard and the club take the decision to put the record straight. Until proved otherwise I will take what the club says as gospel. Why? because it makes total sense to me. Gavin is a very good footballer and has impressed many fans so I assume he has also impressed the management of the club. Many people will question why a particular player hasn't featured much but they seem to be blinded by situation. Gavin suffered a serious injury and had a long spell of recuperation. Had he been brought in earlier, and agravated his injury, we'd all be screaming that the club put their interests before his wellbeing. As it is it makes sense for him to get a few competitive games under his belt before the pre-season and be ready for the start of the new.
