CTO v Amazon - Against All Odds
Yawn Yet another shameless plug for Against all odds IMO the best use for this publication is to start your bonfire on Guy Fawkes night, should work a treat dougal Surely the whole purpose of 'plugging' something is to gain recognition and, ultimately, profit from the product. I cant see any profit being gained from something that is no longer available.

Not sure how you work that out. At best we've had 40% of the possession and a few more fouls against us

ICT -V- Dunfermline : Matchday Thread
There are problems within this club. The cause of such I dont know but I do know that, having watched two games back to back, one away and one at home, I have witnessed a very disjointed team. Indeed I'd go so far as to say this is not a team. There are eleven players on the park but none are displaying any sort of teamwork and the leader on the park is not displaying any sort of leadership. These are all professional footballers, paid entertainers, who I would expect have ambition and desire to get as high up the chain as they can. The way to do that is to do the job to a high standard and sell themselves to the highest bidders. In the last two games I've not seen anything that suggests a desire among those players. Yesterday we were bad against a very mediocre Dunfermline. Dunfermline had far more chances than us to score but by luck and good goalkeeping they didn't. They didn't play all that well yet they got the chances. We took the lead and instead of being fired up and going for the jugular we froze. We didn't run at them. We didn't look for space and work the ball. Indeed we didn't do very much. We looked like a team thrown together for the first time. I was one of those angry at Richies gesture at the end. Was he being sarcastic? Was he genuinely congratulating the fans? I dnk know but I do know that he should have been apologising for the way his team, and indeed himself, performed. Which beggars another question. We play well against a decent St Mirren side and get a win yet we cant do that against two mediocre teams. Whats happened to change things from Saint Mirren to the next two games? All I can see is that the contracts of the management team have been extended.

January Transfer Window
Both players under contract so would cost money to get either of them

Bounce matches
Is it because its purpose is to help players 'bounce' back from injury?
-
January Transfer Window
Perhaps Birmingham could lend us someone for up front
-
Team for Dunfermiline
Idea may be good but I always feel that defence must start from the front and the best formation for that is 4-4-2
-
Bounce matches
Are they a new training method or have they always happened. Last tuesday we had a bounce game at St Mirren. This week its down to St Andrews for a game against Dundee United. Are bounce games a good idea or an unneccessary risk?

January Transfer Window
We have loan players because we dont have to pay full wages. We dont have tax and insurance costs. We dont have employer liability costs. To get one player in of the required calibre would probably cost us the equivalent of three loan players.

January Transfer Window
All very well dreaming, speculating and suggesting but where's the cash coming from?

Away ground oddities
Just wait till next year Yngwie you'll see a motorway where that bird table is.

Richie Foran
Hasn't he also been carrying an abdominal injury for a few months now? I'm sure I remember him having injections to help through the games.
-
Richie Foran
I think your right with the injury theory. I think he's had a problem for most of the season and should be rested till its sorted. However, in his role as captain, although he is entitled to shout at other players where appropriate, he is also supposed to be the motivator and organizer. None of that was evident on saturday. Sometimes I feel that Richie and the management team are trying to achieve results with tactics that, in any other workplace, are bordering on bullying and criticising rather that coaxing, encouraging and motivating.

Mckay
Hard to judge really because in my opinion Butcher hooked the wrong guy. I think Foran should have been taken off instead of Tade and I think Tade would have been better placed to control the ball and feed through to MacKay.

Team for Dunfermiline
Not sure if Hayes is fit yet but Cox looked ok when warming up yesterday. I think Cox is the missing link at the moment. He can protect the defence and control the midfield. The Duncan type player if you like.

The Unthinkable
All this based on one weeks tables. I predict that next week we will be tenth and County fourth. Were that the case would this thread have even been thought of.
