As far as the hand balls are concerned I dont think any player deliberately tried to gain an advantage by touching the ball. In the first Hogg (I think) goes up to meet the cross. His hands are high but the ball comes of a head and he's no chance of moving his arm out of the way. The second one was outside the box when the ball reflected of a hand and onto Tokely's arm. There may have been an arguement for a free kick on the edge of the box but I dont think Tokely even seen the ball come towards him let alone have time to move himself out of its path. The disallowed goal is another matter. Had Edu not touched the ball on then the goal would have to be allowed. The arguement is that the player had put himself offside by being slightly ahead of Edu when he flicked on. If he was then it was millimetres. My view is it should have stood. First penalty could not be seen clearly by the referee. Tokely gets the ball. The cheating Naismith goes down. If the ref does not have a clear view then he shouldn't give it. The second one was ridiculous. Aldred is running towards a ball in open space. He is looking at the ball not the player and is clearly going to be first to it but Goian ignores the ball and cuts in front and goes down. The ref was not in a position to see that clearly either but the linesman was and he awards the penalty. Even bigger mistake than the first one. All I can say is that if thats the standard of refereeing we are to expect throughout the season then Scottish footballs dead. It is well past the time for the SFA to step in and do something about those standards. As for the result, it will stand regardless of any appeals or outcomes so we may as well forget that game and look forward to the next.

My Swansea colleagues never rated him at all and can't understand how he ever got a call up to the Wales team. From what I've seen of him I reserve judgement. What concerns me more is that we seem to have a habit of signing injury prone players.

Very interesting ramblings there Scarlet but the SPL has little or no say in what technology can or can't be used during games. FIFA are the people who need influenced on that count.

10 years ago it would be impossible to get hold of a season ticket for OF unless you had been on a waiting list for years and someone died. Today they have to spend a fair bit in advertising those self same season tickets. Even offering incentives to the purchasers.

In the situation of the Tokely penalty today is it correct that a team should be penalised twice. Once with the penalty and second with the straight red for preventing a goal scoring opportunity? The whole purpose of defenders is to prevent goal scoring opportunities yet they are double penalised for doing so. Personally I feel this is a ridiculous rule.

Good sum up Johndo but I will argue that the second penalty was even less of a shout than the first. Aldred is running straight for the ball. Goian cuts right across him, knowing they'd make contact, and goes down to easy.

I agree, the Tokely decision was terrible. We got punished twice first with the send off, then with the penalty. Second one was a penalty, it was soft and he just didn't need to do it. In saying that we were never in the game. How can we expect any of the midfielders to have an impact when the defender constantly kick the ball over their heads? Some of them even went past Tade's head. We were pish and the sad we should have had a draw as Rangers didn't create anything either. Having watched the game last week, when we even managed three goals, and seeing this one on TV I think your being a bit harse there Gabby. We were not great but there were some good signs for the rest of the season. Think I should send Richie the bottle of water I got from Knock and the chip I have from the Blarney stone then maybe the luck will fall our way.

Summing up, and regardless of this result, I honestly think we are almost there now as far as the team is concerned. We just need to get it right in the way we play and the way we approach each game. Keep the heads up and it'll all come together soon.

Agree with above. Jonny has the making of Broadfoot and Doran the same on the other side but we need to use the wings more. We have the pace and the skill and thats where we need to play. Tade is doing well and Foran is Foran but he seems to be covering Tudor-Jones roll as well as his own. I'd bring on Ross now because I believe he and Jonny could totally dominate the left side and get balls into Tade and Foran
