Ok ymip, can you name any of those good enough Scottish players who'll join us for under £700 a week? There's as much chance of unearthing a gem from Colwyn Bay as there is from Raith or Arbroath. Butcher has brought in some not so good players but then so has every manager we've had. Some of those we've though of as duds are maybe very good players if they get a chance to string a few games together with the same team. Sadly that is something that hasn't happened all season. Personally I aint fussed where our players come from but I'd love to watch the same eleven start for a string of games.

Dont think EBT was used in Butchers day. However, I do think folk are being a bit unfair on him. He has stated a worst case scenario. One where TV and advertising pull out if Rangers go. If that were to happen then teams like ICT would have to take drastic measures to make the sums add up. Possibly part time football in the SPL. That is the worst case and the one Butcher mentions. Personally I dont think that case would arise. I think there would still be a product that TV would see as a money maker and I also think the powers that be will get their heads together and put things in place that will improve that product.

It never ceases to amaze me how people automatically assume something sinister when a player is dropped for whatever reason. Tokely was injured on Saturday so he's now no longer one of Butchers chosen ones.
