I have removed DornochCaley's offensive remark. To all the England fans who are posting please bear in mind that all this banter happened in reverse in the days when Scotland qualified and England didn't.
  2. That would be the couple to my left with the 'bring your own pies'.
  3. We have 12 games left. Dundee 11. County 13. Queens 14
  4. Really? I don't recall ever seeing anything official about their plans. All I've ever seen is mention on this site of anything like building similar stands to our North and South, new stadium (not going to be in place in time)
  5. With County and QoS challenging for div 1 along with us and Dundee is there a possibility that there will be no promotion due to technicality. I think that teams challenging for promotion must have a plan in place to meet the stadium standards by end March. Queens do have plans in place to build another stand and to convert terracing to seated and they believe all the work would be completed before the new season. Does County have a plan in place? As it is they'd need another 3,200 seats and I dont think either terrace has the capacity to put that number in. So that leaves groundshare but with who? Aberdeen? Cant see them wanting tenants. Their trying to nurse there ground as it is till new stadium built. St Johnston? SPL rules dictate they couldn't share with us.

Shane is a current ICT player on loan to Elgin. Brian Kerr (Dundee 2 v ICT 2)
  7. The poster named Sophia was not Bobby Mann's mum, at least, not as far as I know. I met her at a Livi - ICT game once (the classic game that ended as a 4-3 loss) and remember she told me that she tended to watch his career from afar rather than be involved directly for personal reasons. However, Bobby's wife did post on here for a while - especially after a glass or two of the old vino - but I can't remember what her posting name was, but again, it was not Sophia. I have no idea whose Mum worked at Dens until retirement but I would hazard a guess that it was not Bobby's. I will however say I am speechless at Google because when i threw a couple of queries into the search engine to see if it could help with a guess, this thread came up at #2 in the list ..... thats bloody quick indexing for a 70 minute old thread !!! Blobby's wife posted as Mrs Mann. Good bit of banter for a few days after he left us. She was a police inspector and let us know he left because she couldn't move because of her career. Left us all knowing who wore the trousers in that relationship.
  8. Most tile shops are open late on a friday and all day sunday Harry

I know very little about Dani other than he's young and very new to Scottish football. I cant see how anyone can compare him to Juanjo. Juanjo had a good deal of experience of the british game, including 3 years at Hearts, before he came to us so had a good idea what to expect. Dani, I believe, only has a Spanish schooling behind him and so has a great deal to learn about our game. Personally I think he's beginning to grasp it now and can only get better.
  10. Donald is Head of Coach Education at the SFA. My understanding is that its his job to educate coaches on things like the laws of the game, rules on working with children and many other aspects outwith the actual core role of a coach. He was in the dugout at Hampden but what his role was I dont know. Perhaps he was asked to step in to assist. Perhaps he was observing the coaches.
  11. Home 4 win 4 draw 3 loss.....goals scored 18 against 16 Away 6 win 4 draw 2 loss.....goals scored 21 against 9 Thats in the league only.
  12. Why did they have to spoil what would be a fairly decent shirt by puting the break in the stripes. That spoils it for me.
  13. Oh right.... so the boos were only heard by Foran, and by people who don't post on here. Seriously, I doubt if we can be talking about any more than a handful of fans here... you'll get idiots like that at any footie match - even when their team's winning. Claims that the team's performance might have suffered on Saturday, because of the antics of a tiny number of fans, are quite frankly, very lame indeed. Think if you actually read the article in Courier you'll see that he never said the result was anything to do with the booing. He just pointed out that booing players affects them.
  14. Might just join that train at Perth GJ.
  15. ."I was a bit disappointed in some of them and I know a few of the other players were too The above should maybe answer your question John Were you there, Alex? Did you hear ICT supporters booing ICT players? I'll try this one again.... Did anyone at the match on Saturday hear ICT players being booed by ICT supporters? No I wasn't there. But whats the difference? There may be fans who heard it but dont post on here. Fact is players heard it and it affected them. Is that not enough or are you trying to insinuate the players may be lying?
  16. I heard he was more into doggy style.... There's always someone who'll bring down the tone of a good thread.
  17. ."I was a bit disappointed in some of them and I know a few of the other players were too The above should maybe answer your question John
  18. Personally I think that if someone boo's there own players during a match, no matter the score, then they are booing the shirt and the club. Those people are not true supporters and would probably do more good if they just stayed away. DC, Ayr United are a team in the same league as us and are just as entitled to score as we are. Fans should be getting their players fired up to counter that, not breaking their confidence with booing. This wouldn't happen with any other club. After the final whistle then vent your frustrations if you wish.
  19. Will Tel be able to put together the team he'd like: Esson Tokely, Tokely, Tokely, Tokely Tokely, Tokely, Tokely, Tokely Tokely, Tokely
  20. Thanks for that. I'm inclined to think that Bryan will still be editing the programme and that only the printer/publisher has changed.
  21. Quote from Richie Foran in Courier: It was when Caley Thistle were trailing, however, that Foran maintains a minority of home supporters should have got behind the team, rather than choose to criticise them."We didn't start off that well and then all of a sudden some of our own supporters seemed to turn against us, which I felt was very disappointing," he stated."We've not lost at home since October last year and we've been on a great run, so when we go a goal down that's when we need them to give us a lift."We're not going to go between now and the end of the season without dropping points. It's possible that we could, but that would be hard, so when we are struggling that's when we need them to help us out."I was a bit disappointed in some of them and I know a few of the other players were too. It might only have been a few who were booing, but we need them all to encourage us and fortunately the vast majority did."We understand their frustrations because the players feel the same. However, we're all in this together - the players and the supporters." When are the so called supporters of this club going to realise that their stupid antics during a game are affecting the performance in the wrong way?
  22. So many names for the same company. New Century Publishing = Highland News Group = Scottish Provincial Press. My understanding is that everything, including 15 regional newspapers, is printed in Dingwall at the companies 'Highland Web Offset centre, though produced and published in Inverness, Elgin and Wick. I wonder does going back to pre-SPL programme production mean we're hedging our bets on going up. I know Bryan Munro done the editing but who employed him. Is he an SPP employee?
  23. I thought One Stop were doing the programmes, but then again i buy it never really look further than the team sheet! One Stop only done the print runs. The programme was put together and published in house Bryan Munro was the editor.
  24. For the backbone of a first team I'd want to keep Esson, Tokely, Proctor, Munro, Duncan,Hayes, Cox, Foran, Rooney. I'd also want to keep the best of the U-19's (though if we go up we'll need a full squad of them). Plus Allison, Morrison, and Sutherland. Why Duncan? I believe we need to retain one or two with that level of experience to help and influence the younger players. I think terry should be looking for a front man who can get more out of Rooney. He has potential but needs a lot of feeding. He also needs left sided players for defence and mid and strengthning at the right side of the back row. Though, hopefully, Duff will be back and raring to go.
  25. I'm not so sure about that, from what I gather, quite a few of the players don't like him. Is that the players that dont see the 1st team often like Roy? I would doubt there are any players who dont like the manager. One or two may not like his methods but that happens in every team. They are all professionals and should be going about their business in a professional manner. They all know that within a squad of 25 only the best 11 will be selected and its up to them to be one of the best 11. Ever since we joined the leagues we, as fans, have had our hero's. Players we never wanted to leave the club but the fact is that it is necessary for the future of any club to have a constant turnaround of players. Not many clubs will have kept so many players on their books for as long as ICT have. There will always be someone who admires a player and who thinks the club will fold if that player goes, or doesn't get a start, but, at the end of the day, it's the continuing success of the club that matters.
