Am taking the train. Its nearly a home game for me.

Totally agree its a must win. Your home record is good but so's our away one. Either way mate you'll get to see SPL footie again next season. Albeit at TCS
  3. He's away drowning his sorrows with Robbo.
  4. If we can beat Dundee on saturday, win our game in hand, then match everything they do that last match of the season's going to be a belter.

This is one I'm really looking forward to. I believe we have an advantage in that we played on saturday, whereas, they've gone a fortnight without a game.
  6. Maybe this will give the players the motivation to push really hard from now on in. Starting with saturday.
  7. Here we are in third place and 1 point behind county. We have the top league scorer in our squad and what are we doing? Debating a former player. He's gone. He didn't fit into Butchers style. He had a habit of spitting the dummy. He's gone. End off.

The 'we hate them, they hate us' banter has gone on between the Scots and English for as many years as we've played football. Where do you draw the line at being racist. Many will say we are all British so cant be racist towards each other. Is it racist if an English store refuses payment with a Scottish note? In this particular case I see no racism. I see banter towards an international football team. I have many friends and colleagues who are of English origin and not one of them takes offence at my jibes, nor do I of their's. We all see it as good natured banter. Perhaps because we all believe we are of the same race. The human race.
  9. Richard Hastings did not want to stay at a first division club because he believed it would impinge on his international ambitions.
  10. It was New Century Publishing who done our programmes pre-SPL

You could refrain from spending your pocket money and take the train. Leave Thurso 08.40 arrive Sneck 12.15. Leave Sneck 17.52 (there would be a problem of having to spend 6 mins in Dingwall to change trains) arrive Thurso 21.45. ?21 day return for adult.
  12. C'mon Rene, credit where its due. Whether we can conjure up the results to go back to SPL or whether its another season in this league at least people are looking to the future. I'm not a Butcher fan but I can see he's achieving something at the club. If he can persuade players to stay and build on what he already has then surely that can only be good. Uncertainty over contracts and lack of continuity do not help progress. We have players who are improving as the season progresses. Some of that improvement has to be down to Butcher and Malpas. They've managed to get a shredded team stitched back together again and are starting to see results. No doubt some posters will cast up about players we let go but not knowing the reasons behind those decisions I, for one, don't wish to speculate. I did, however, listen carefully to what Mark McGhee had to say last week about not being able to get established Aberdeen players to work to his style and I think the same could be true of Butcher when he took over. A coach has his own way of doing things and he expects those he hires to follow this. I remember when Brewster came in first time and the few complaints about the training regime, more especially double stints each day. A few of those players who voiced opinion were let go quite easily. I want to see continuity reap success and if the board have chosen Terry and Mo for that then so be it. Good luck to then and to the future of our club.
  13. Have a dram and chill mun
  14. And now on target for the leagues 'Golden Boot'.

Barry Robson 2 for Middlesborugh OOOOOPPPPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! My mistake. Had Birmingham on brain as I was waiting on their result for my bookies line. Ten game accumulator. Nine correct then Hamilton cant score against St Midden. Bloody sickener
  16. If it wasn't for Rooney, we wouldn't have won today. If it wasn't for Rooney, we would be minus 15 goals this season, and we would be mid-table at best. What do you mean you don't care if he scored? If he hadn't we would be another point worse off. I hope this is another Renegade statement designed to be completely opposite to the general consensus, but if this is really your opinion, then you know nothing. I'll gaurantee that many different people who were at todays game will have a differing opinion on a number of players and / or tactics. An individuals opinion is normally based on his / her perception. If anyone has counter arguement for anothers opinion then put it forward as that and not as a personal attack on the person.
  17. I am fully aware that Sutherland is from Inverness, I am also aware that he has ploughed cash into the club, the only thing I was questioning is whether his approach might alienate some other businesses being involved in the club. While yes he is the best known businessman in the town the second best known is Alan Savage, I reckon that since his difference of opinions with Sutherland the club will have lost at least 100k a season from sponsorship etc. Wonder if thats what Alan Savage now pay's Aberdeen for the big Orion banner above the tunnel at Pitoddrie.

Barry Robson 2 for Birmingham Andy Barrowman 1 for County
  19. At this moment the A9 is still closed. A82 and A96 have re-opened but could close again. Like CD I was travelling yesterday. Trapped by A96 closure so down through Granton, made it just before that road closed, to Aviemore to find A9 closed. Turn north then down to Fort W to discover A82 closed at Glencoe. Head for Oban then on to Lochgilphead, Arrochar, Balloch to Stirling to find A9 closed between here and Perth. Head for Forth bridge then up to Perth. Eight hours for a two hour journey and scary in places.
  20. With more snow and high winds forecast for tonight / tomorrow I dont hold out much hope of the roads being cleared. All routes from south and east to Sneck are still closed in places as those responsible for clearing are finding it impossible.
  21. This is nothing new. Both OF teams run coaching roadshow's for youngsters at school holiday time all around the country. Man U do the same.
  22. One of the big problems, and one that many are missing, is the fact that any major investor would want a degree of control of his investment. To gain that control he needs to first find, probably, ?10 million + to buy out Mr. Sutherland and the stadium. That amount is not investment in the club but investment to line the pocket of the aforesaid person. How many investors want to do that?
  23. I seem to remember that our pipes are 12" down and 12" apart. I recall Tommy complain once, when we were waterlogged, that the pipes prevented proper tyning to get rid of the water. It is a hot water system provided for by an oil burning boiler. Personally I dont remember any games called off as a result of USH problems. In the SPL we would have faced fines had that happened. Not sure what you mean by 'gas or water' system but the biggest problem for clubs running USH systems is not the system. It's the utility company charging extortionate prices for fuel.
  24. I've been infected by a few things in my time, but that's not one them. Oh ye of little faith!!
