  1. I believe we will win the league. I also believe it will be won the week before the Dundee game and that the league flag will be unfurled at TCS prior to our game with Dundee. Just to stick it right up them.
  2. Too many games left to be gloating just yet. I do, however, think Dundee have blown it by sacking Jocky.
  3. Couple of years ago I was in Madrid and went to Athletico game. The spanish make footie a family night out. They take along cushions for the seats and picnic baskets loaded with goodies and wine. That, for me, is how an evening at the footie should be.
  4. Never made it today. Almighty hangover.
  5. Mars have struck a deal with SFA and are going to put saltire on wrappers. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/more-s...ksEnabled=false
  6. What is it with some ICT supporters. Do they put players names in a hat and pull one out each week to pick fault with?
  7. I wonder where some people get their info from. Russell will serve a one match ban from 3/4/10.
  8. I think its all down to a number of rookies coming onto their game at the right time coupled with a very good balance of youth and experience.
  9. Oh ye's of little faith. Should really close this thread cos its full of pessimism. A word that does not come into the dictionary of Alex MacLeod and ICT. Have faith peeps.
  10. Think we,ve done that and gone beyond.
  11. Stevico- I & a few others said at the start of the season; while ICT were hanging around 5th,6th & 7th place that they were in the right place as the top 3 of the time, Dundee, County & QOS would eventually tire/bottle it leaving ICT to quietly overtake them. So im happy that our game plan has panned out. Great results today and i agree we cant throw this away. The prize is way too precious. Yes I agree a few said we could do it, I also remember Alex saying we were well placed a good few months ago I just couldn't see, I am very glad I was wrong. The league is in our hands now Steve. We now have to capitalize on our position. Win every game, especially tuesday night.
  12. Seven nerve wracking games to go.
  13. Alex MacLeod replied to a post in a topic in General Football
    Rory = Stennie 1 - Brechin 2 Wilson, Bavidge, Mann. Dumbarton 1 - Peterhead 3
  14. While CD was announcing we lost 5 home games. Since his demise we've only lost 1.
  15. Is the Govan contingent meeting in city centre before travel to ground?
  16. Do the club think the fans are stupid when they make statements about pricing being similar to other div 1 clubs. The only ones as expensive as us are the ones that use Lindley. We go to away games. We know the prices. As for the rest. Its a step in the right direction and remains to be seen whether it works or not. The one thing I fail to understand is that when in SPL with much bigger crowds I could still go to a pie stall at the half time whistle and be back in my seat 10 mins later.
  17. SFA Scottish Cup Rule 46 section g states The reciepts from the semi-final matches shall be pooled and shall be deemed to include monies recieved from all admission charges to the matches, radio and television fee's and any monies from advertising within the stadium specific to the competition. The association shall retain 10% of the balance after payment of the expenses for staging the two matches and the club's guarantee's (the guaranteed prize money) The remainder, after payment for rental of the ground shall be shared equally between the four clubs. My guess is that a total of 60,000 spectators is a realistic number. DU 18000, Celtic 30000, RR and RC 6000 each. Average gate based on large percentage of youngsters (historically a family affair) ?15 making gate reciepts ?900,000. TV and radio maybe ?300,000. Total ?1,200,000 Policing, stewarding and other costs of staging the comp ?250,000. SFA cut ?95,000. Stadium hire ?20,000 (guess) leaves ?835,000 / 4 = ?208,750 each. + prize money
  18. Harry, not sure that County will be able to sustain their consistency with the fixtures they have coming up. They have a lot of travelling to do and a few hard games into the bargain so will drop points, as will Dundee. What we need to do is maintain our unbeaten record and start turning draws to wins.
  19. We could debate what was and what could have been till the coo's come home but the bottom line is what the difference is at 4.45 on 1st May
  20. I'd rather see RC beat the evil twin. I'd even get tickets for the final. But back to the thread. Fantastic result guys. Considering Airdrie were on a bit of a flier the last two or three games this is a big one.
  21. Dont know how you work that out.
  22. John, has anyone actually said the game will be commentated on in gaelic. There are english speaking folk at the beeb. They may have just decided to broadcast in english on that channel
  23. League table and news etc HERE
  24. Inverness CT v Airdrie United Inverness striker Richie Foran is available for the visit of bottom side Airdrie after serving a two-game ban. Foran is expected to go straight back into Terry Butcher's starting line-up. Butcher has a fully-fit squad available as Caley chase Dundee for promotion. Airdrie manager Kenny Black loses Frankie Lagana through suspension but welcomes back Tom Parrat. Airdrie stunned leaders Dundee 3-0 at the weekend and Black is hoping his side can build on the result. Stolen from BBC
