  1. Either I was at a different game or I was concentrating too much on the game in hand to hear any abuse directed at Butcher. I did hear someone behind me shout something that Malpas responded to with a f?ck off. To me it seemed that the action of a number of fans walking out is what started Butcher off.
  2. Personally I dont like going back. However, if we were to take that route than I'd have Charlie over any of the others. Unless Pele could handle it of course.

Whether or not I think Butcher and Malpas are the right team to be in charge is irrelevant. As to our relegation, we were heading for relegation long before Butcher came along. As Chibber say's, nobody could have gotten us out of that situation. Butcher and Malpas gave it a go though and it very nearly paid off. Personally I wouldn't call for his head. I'd hope the directors would see what needs to be done. And if they can't see the problems than should they be running this club? However, I would demand, and expect, an apology to be forthcoming for the tirade of abuse directed at fans. I never caught what was shouted when Malpas kicked of with his 'if you dont like it f*** off' mouthful. Maybe it was called for, maybe it wasn't. I can't say. I can say though that the tirade from Butcher when he clocked a number of fans walking out at the Queen's second goal was diabolical. It was an unwarranted rant to try and turn blame away from himself. Yes there was some retaliation to his ranting but he's the one who lost control and he's the one who should be apologising.
  4. I came away from that game well pee'd off and chose not to come on here over the weekend because I'd have just vented my anger and that probably wouldn't have been a true reflection of the game. First of I was disgusted at the abuse of the fans from the management duo. I would hope, also, that messrs Fraser and Sutherland would be feeling the same way. The first tirade came from Malpas reacting to someones comments. Then Butcher lets fly because fans are leaving. Gentlemen, are your ego's so big that you're unable to see why fans are irate? Do you people come from the gutters somewhere where that sort of language, being directed at anybody listening, is acceptable in company. Sitting in front of me on saturday were the families and friends of Hayes and Cox. About a dozen of them had travelled up from the south to see this game and finished in the firing line of a torrent of foul mouthed abuse being directed at fans. What sort of impression did that leave? The fans are angry and rightly so. Often it's quoted that we can't string two good games together. If only that was the case. Fact is we cant string two halves of a game together. First half, apart from the 1st half minute, we were playing well. We were keeping the ball down and stringing passes together. We were building from the back and going forward, keeping them very much on the back foot. Why were we playing the Walter Smith way though? Lone striker? Especially when its someone not suited to the role. Andy Barrowman would have been a better choice in that role. But where was he? Sat in his car totally pee'd off at being dropped. That lone striker, for me, was to blame for their first goal. Nice through ball from Duncan. Duncan moves off Sanchez passes the ball back to where it had came from. The rest is a goal for them. Anyway, we did get back into the game very quickly and, had the right striker or striker's been on the pitch, maybe we'd have taken two or three. Brilliant free kick from Hayes see's us level going in at half time and Missus and I sat and listened to CaleyD expecting a rout in the second half. Uhh Uhh. Queen's make a change and we're on the back foot. They skinned us and we sat back and watched. Rossco and Bulvitus were not up to the onslaught. Our defence were torn a new ar$ehole.Ok, half hour or so to go, perhaps we need to change something. Change formation, change players. Something is glaring apart from the sun. No! Wait! Lets try the Butcher and Malpas tactic. Let's shout and ball absolute abuse at the players. Lets call them all the useless tw*ts under the sun. That'll get a reaction. And by christ it did. They shrugged their shoulders, switched off and gave in. Positives, for me, are that we do have a team of decent players. All of whom can do the job required. All of whom are capable of taking us back up. What is sorely lacking is the tactical direction needed to achieve that. I think, before its too late, an acknowledgement, from the board, that things are not working out, is a priority for this club.
  5. Maybe, when he gets the chance, he likes to take his children to watch football. And, living in Dingwall, what better a game than the local one.
  6. Because we shall fill them all !!!!!! And we'll stun you into silence same as St J did at last derby game last season. Never knew the Dens fans to be so quiet as they were then.
  7. What if we're 5-0 down? :024: If we're 5-0 down then we're cr@p and deserve to be in that position. Nice to see my girlfriends looking in :029: :D You know who you are :025:
  8. Don't know.........never heard the question :029: But to the conversation. One of the problems about many who post is that they can't see the wood for the tree's. At times when I've seen players being derided on here for their individual performances its usually after the whole team has been bad. If a team is playing well and one person makes a mistake, but in general has a good game, it goes un-noticed. But if the team plays bad then it seems to me that a scapegoat has to be found. It's been McBain, it's been Duncan, it's been Barrowman, Bulvitis, Zadi, Proctor. Tokely has also taken some stick in the past. It's even been Rooney when he's had five minutes at the end of a game. Now it's Gollie. If all the aforementioned players started tomorrow, played their erses off and we won 10 - 0 there would still be fault with someone. ICT fans are fickle creatures.
  9. Barry certainly won't be getting boo'd by me. In fact I'll probably shake his hand and, if he does score, I'd congratulate him. There probably isn't a nicer, more friendly, footballing gentleman that has ever graced Inverness. Besides we could be looking for a coach next season.
  10. And for those who were'nt aware of it. The Immortal one of the End of Howden was great great grandfather to Coinneach Odhar MacKenzie the Brahan Seer
  11. Where do I obtain the requisite ID ? In order to aquire an I.D you must first have an identity. You'd struggle with the 'place of birth' question. Raised from the ashes on the shores of Loch Shiel and coming into being before records were first kept in that region may be difficult to trace.
  12. Right. I see where byour coming from now. Just re-read the SFL notice and yes, North and South stands will be ?14 as opposed to ?15 for other two. The SFL set the prices before the ticket allocation debate and Dundee dupe ICT into having their fans pay full whack whilst 3000 Dundee fans can get in for a quid less.
  13. Yes I know that. What I'm saying is there will not be much more than about 2500 seats available in the main stand. The hospitality seats + some others will be utilised for the SFL hangers on along with friends and family of players and various other people who enjoy a freebie or three. The bit I dont understand from your comments is the 'price point' thing.

Lets go for the famous Arrowhead formation that seen Robert the Bruce through so many battles: Esson Tokely, Munro, Golabek, McBain Ross, Duncan, Eagle Foran, Sanchez Barrowman :(
  15. Can you explain what you mean in the highlighted paragraph Don. My understanding is that 7-800 seats will be unavailable in the West stand. These are to house the hangers on of the SFL. So that stand alone would not be enough for our allocation.
  16. Yes DC, both were open and both will be open this year. They're open every day but generally only have transport and food available when St J are at home. Incidentally, a fair number of the bars around town now have over 21 policies and a requirement for I.D
  17. We had 3000 ICT fans at the last one according to ICTFC
  18. I'd agree with that. Those doing the negotiating on this will have looked at average away support. They will also have looked at the home support numbers in this very competition and based there figures on that. And if we can only muster 2275 fans for a home semi final tie how can we have the audacity to ask for more than 3400 for the final.
  19. Is that the one that is on the way to comrie on the left hand side. 'And Dobbies does mean cheese scone.' these Gaelic translations never cease to amaze. That is the one. Its very much an eatery as opposed to a pub and is very busy on a sunday. Families out for carvery lunch. Not the place for footie fans. Within 10 mins of the ground there's the aforementioned Tulloch Institute and the 208. 208 will likely be mobbed and service slow. There's the Letham Social club and the Welcome on Rannoch Road. Alternatively there's loads of pubs and eateries in the city centre and buses are very frequent. A No.1 or 2 will take you past the ground. I have also heard rumour that one or both St Johnstone social clubs will have food available and buses too and from the ground.
  20. Alba commentary will be in gaelic. Turn the sound down and have the radio on next to the tv.
  21. The club is not trying to stop anyone chanting football chants. The club are warning people that racial chants will not be tolerated. There are plenty of chants that can be used without tarring the Gypsy Travellers with the same brush as Dingwall dwellers.
  22. Absolutely not. And anyway, there's not much chance of scoring anyway, as he's been hopeless for about the last five years. He scored for them last week
  23. Sadly I must miss this one. Heading to Darlington for three days of Emergency Response training.
  24. If people choose to stay away from TCS because the club, the stewards and the police intend to uphold the law of the land then so be it. Noses and faces come to mind though.
  25. At the end of the day the warning, whether it was handled correctly or not, has gone out and, though the majority of fans see things as good natured banter, it only takes one complaint to the police for a person, or persons, to find themselves with a criminal record. A record that would have to be disclosed to present or future employers. Before making the mistake of getting to that stage ask yourself, 'would a potential employer take me on if I was convicted of racially aggrevated breach of the peace'? The club is not to blame for this. Nor are the stewards and police. Look to the law of the land and the numpties who make the law.
