Parachute Payment ?
Yep. We are in a lucky position in that Flybe are prepared to continue their support but still ?250k is a pittance compared to the losses in revenue.

Contracts (merged)
Pavels does not want a new contract. He needs to play at a higher level to satisfy his international ambitions. Youth will need to tske a back seat for one season. We need tough experienced players to get us out of the mire.

Contracts (merged)
We dont know whats behind what here. It could be some players have indicated they dont want to stay. It may be there are one or two in U-19's that could get a promotion. Though I think experience is whats required for a season, not youth. And the U-21 rule only applies in SPL. It may be that Butcher has some others lined up. Either way we must reduce the size of the squad so people will have to be let go. I can see us going down to a squad of 22.

Contracts (merged)
Too many post to read at the moment so if I repeat what someone else has said then sorry. First: Plan B is the plan that was put in place if we were to be relegated. I dont think any of us really need to know what it is so long as it allows us to compete within the available budget. Second: Before folk go of all hot headed about players not being offered contracts think on this...those players may have something else in the pipeline and may have already indicated that they dont want new offers. Of those who have accepted new deals I'm pleased with all but have reservations about McGuire. I also believe those Butcher is wanting to keep will do a job for us. That would be nineteen in all so leaves room for three or four new faces to come in whilst maintaining the nucleus of the squad. Very pleased by Esson staying.

Can Ict Bounce Back Next Year ?
We have some advantage over the previous relegated clubs. We will hold on to a number of players who are paid little more than Div 1 wages anyway. We are going down with a financially healthy club. We have room to reduce our squad to around 22 which would save up to 350 k in salaries, insurance etc. We are accustomed to shrewd budgeting. We have a management team with experience of achieving a successful team from nothing. History dictates we wont go back up but we are the writers of history.

The Blame Poll
I refuse to vote. Everyone on the list has had some part to play in where we find ourselves. Even the fans. Its too late now for blame but its not too late for recovery

Ict V Div 1 Teams
We won division 1 playing against some of them. Others we helped demote from the SPL. Thats the only stats that matter.

Is Relegation A Setback ?
I had the pleasure, last night, of listening to speeches by the Chairman and Manager of our club. Where we find ourselves is a setback but is in no way a disaster. There is a plan in place. There is a hint of investment. There is full backing from Flybe and there is a commitment to do what is mecessary to get us back up at the first attempt. The Chairman and the Board know they will need to make cuts. Where these will be remains to be seen. I'm sure the squad will be trimmed somewhat. I'm sure there will need to be some cuts in staff and in youth investment. The Chairman has assured that any cuts will be the minimum possible and that the club will still pursue its policy of operating within its available budget. The Manager has unfinished business and will commit to puting together the best squad he can. One that will achieve the goal of promotion. He has seventeen players out of contract. He will sit down over the next day or two and try and persuade those we wants to stay. He will also try and bring in some who will do a job and he will promote some from the youths. He will build the team that will see us back up in the top flight. The board and the management team have given the commitment and I believe they can achieve but, and its a big but. We the fans have to play our part. Near 5,000 turned up to support Inverness yesterday. The club needs that same support for the coming season. They need the season ticket sales, the gate money and every other penny thats asked of us. The club will give us what we want but we must give back in return. We must show the same loyalty, commitment and support in Div 1 as we have in the last five years of SPL football. So I beg of every fan of this club. Get behind the team and believe, as I do, that we will make history next season. We will be only the second team ever to come straight back up again. And, in the words of Terry Butcher, lets stick it right up the central belters.

Barry Wilson
I dont see wilson coming back cause i know TB wont even look at him. Barry should do his coaching badges and maybe look about becoming a manager Barry already has his coaching badges. We need players with a desire to get this club back up at the first time of asking, and at a price we can afford, and Barry Wilson could easily be one of those players. He loves this club, still has a season or two in him, and would have the desire to do the job for us. I have no doubt of that.

Free Bus To Game?
Cycling is by far the best way of getting to and from the park. You can fly past the crowds after the game and be sitting with your pint before the car park has even cleared. Also drink driving laws are a bit hazy for cycling ...*cue barroom lawyer* As for the bus, I suspect that it will leave about 11.45. Not much beer time then. If deemed to be under the influence on a cycle you can be prosecuted for being drunk in charge of a vehicle.

Bbc Radio Coverage.
Scotty... I have now checked with Sport in Glasgow and I'm afraid it looks a bit Desperate for the Diasporate. There is no internet coverage outwith the UK and there is no Open All Mics coverage at all. Realistically, with only three games on at 1230, before you even consider that only one of these means anything (unless one other produces a highly unlikely result) it's difficult to see how an Open All Mics would be viable. As far as the lack of commentary outwith the UK is concerned, my understanding is that the BBC's inability to provide it solely relates to a prerogative which Falkirk Football Club has opted to exercise. The upshot would appear to be that, apart from Setanta(?), it is not possible to follow this game live outwith the UK. (Is it legal to have a webcam with an open mic pointed at a TV showing Setanta?) I would think, if your using something like Skype, and your webcam happened to be sited on the tv screen behind you, and you were only Skyping Scotty, it would be perfectly legal. Only thing is you'd need to leave your tv on and your Skype line open, make sure the screen saver and power saver are off, while you attended the match. If questioned you could use the excuse that Scotty is your online home security system.

A March From The Town Centre
Highland Marchers will be leaving from Falcon Square around 11.15 I believe and will march, with Spud the Piped leading, via Innes Street to the stadium.
-
The Highland March
Likely wouldn't go near Elgin. Best walking route from Aberdeen would be through Deeside via Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater then on to Grantown and possibly Carrbridge, Daviot Inverness or a detour over the dava moor towards Nairn and cut of over dalcantray and Culloden. Sorry no through Elgin. Besides, they dont have enough security people to keep them safe through Elgin. Well done the marchers. See you all tomorrow.

Did they know ban football fans from drinking on trains :blah01: ??? Only if the trains have been designated in advance as football trains. Alcohol consumption is not allowed on buses though. And thats any bus, not just football ones.

I meet up with fans from all the teams, apart from OF (I dont travel on the train with them), and none have ever complained about the journey. Carry out on train up, bit of banter, few beers in Sneck, see the game, carry out on train back down. A great day out with beautiful scenery thrown in and the chance to see, if lucky, some of our native animals and birds.
