  1. Agree about Mcbain but dont know why all the demands for Wyness. I seen him start twice this season and both times he was dire. he just seemed to refuse to move around the park. Wouldn't get into space and expected the ball to be put at his feet. As I say i only seen him in two starts so perhaps he has improved. But I think it would be very wrong to drop Bayne. He's a workhorse and second top scorer this season.
  2. I know there a sh!te team Gringo, and I know I was brought up there but thats no reason to short change the poor guys. This is their second win. 6/10/06 Forres Mechanics 1 - 2 Fort William
  3. Sandy, I dont live in the area, though I'm thinking of moving up, but I do read the courier online and get the HN delivered to Perth. Yes I am home for both Christmas and New Year. First time in five years.
  4. If this is a real party it'll go on till midnight on saturday night. Then I could gatecrash it. :003:
  5. ......seems a pretty steep starting price to me. Clach programme
  6. Thats not much good cos another twenty goals are needed after that. The total so far is 4975. And the one you haven't mentioned, Ritchie Hart, will score it in the 87th minute of the game against Motherwell.
  7. Maybe its the red black and blue tricolour their on about Marie :004:
  8. Michael say we will get 3 points and, as a hard working honest lad, I believe him.
  9. Sandy, you obviously feel very strongly about this so why not write to the editor of the papers concerned. You may even get a favourable response.
  10. Just what I was trying to say Charles, though perhaps not in such eloquent words. And for those interested folks who think all the papers bar the Inverness ones serve little hamlets. Please note, the little hamlet served by the Northern Scot (Morayshire) has the biggest circulation. Must admit though that I'm not quite sure what the two columns tell us. Is one the circulation and the other the potential readership. Perhaps Charles could provide the answer. 11. Feck it. Lets go all out attack. Drop Munro and put Hart in as a centre forward. :003:
  12. Have to agree with mainstander here Sandy. The Courier is an Inverness local paper. The Rosshire Journal is the Dingwall equivalent. the Courier is not being disrespectful or snubbing Ross County. It is just not taking the big story away from it's sister paper. The courier did report RC's success but its editor, had he made a big spread of it would probably have been slated in the journalist world for stealing the thunder from his counterpart at the Journal. The Northern Scot (Elgin), Forres Gazzette, Lochaber news, Caithness Courier etc, probably had the same level of reporting of this story as the courier had. They are all local papers providing local stories about local topics and local people. If all of those papers were going to make big stories about the same subjects then there wouldn't be any need for them all. Scottish Provincial Press Ltd could just produce the one paper covering everywhere. Yes there are RC fans in Inverness. The Ross-shire Journal is also available at quite a few Inverness outlets.
  13. Libero, I dont think anyone is saying they have nothing to do. What I think is that the players who's homes are in the central but who spend Monday morning to saturday night in Inverness dont know, or socialise with, people from the area, other than those whom they work with all week, so when they do go out to do other activities, be it golf or a beer in the evening or whatever, they do it with the those same people and so develop more of a bond. I reckon that is what Strach meant in his comments.
  14. If you read between the lines you'll realise that he's making excuses for when we beat them. To be honest I dont think he is being condescending in any way. He is just stating some facts about why our players bond so well. There is no other attractions or distractions so the players from outside the area will tend to stick together and socialise together during the week.
  15. BBC are absolutely p!sh at reporting. Every player in both teams had some time on the park, including Mark wh played the second half according to: A MORE RELIABLE SOURCE
  16. Wish this was on Saturday night and not Friday. Friday, sadly, I will be spending the second of two nights eating, drinking and sleeping in the, not so exciting Sherraton Hotel in Edinburgh. But I will be up for the Hearts game.
  17. Agree Conival. It is a shame. Nobody wants this kind of thing but Romanov needs to be taught that this country is a democracy and that his KGB mentallity has no place here. Personally I think its time the SPL / SFA got there act together and conducted an enquiry into the mans future plans. If they dont then we could very well see the demise of HoM FC and a housing estate at Tynie. Seems to me the guy would think nothing of closing down and recouping his losses.
  18. Ever since the threat that the players would be sent to Killie there has been unrest and the players have not been puting in the required effort. I can see serious revolt at that club. Pressley, Hartley and Gordon along with a few non russians are seriously upset at the goings on. So I cant see much changing before they play us. IMO the bubble has burst for Romanov
  19. Not a bad crowd either for a cold Sunday at McDairmid. 4026. Can anyone remember the crowd figure when we won it.
  20. Jonathan is tiny. ust keep fingers crossed that Mike doesn't get injured.
  21. Very well done Ross County. Another Highland team strikes a positive blow towards the central belters. Parade in Dingwall tomorrow ---- Players will display the trophy around the caravans from the back of a horse drawn carraige.
  22. Assertions??????? What assertions? I have asserted nothing. I have put forward my opinion as I am entitled to.
  23. Hibs are a very entertaining side to watch. Their passing and positioning of the ball is excellent and if they ever get their finishing on a more consistant footing they'll be a very formidable side. Its certainly no disgrace to be beaten by them on their own turf.
  24. Isn't it great to sit back, with hindsight, and moan. If dargo gets hooked its for tactical or fitness reasons. If its tactical and it works then CC is the hero. If it doesnt work he's the villian. What people seem to forget is that CC knows the abilities of all his players. He sees them day in and day out. He knows how long they can go before tiring. Dargo covers a lot of ground for us so is bound to hit the wall towards the end. And I doubt very much that Dargo would be pi**ed of at being hooked. He's a professional, he knows that if things aren't working something else has to be tried. He's paid to do the job he does when he's asked to do it and to come of, without question, when asked. The manager decides who does what job and when. And if anyone has issues with that then perhaps they shouldn't be here. As for the Wyness / Dargo partnership, it hasn't worked up till now so why should anything change. Personally I think Bayne is showing signs of being a far better player that Wyness.
  25. Cheers Scotty. I knew he played but couldn't remember if he started or came on second half.
