  1. Tulloch Construction, a company whose major shareholder is Tulloch Ltd, has been sold to Rok with Tulloch directors running the Rok business in Scotland. Tulloch Homes, which operated as a seperate company is retained. The main shareholders of Tulloch Homes being Tulloch Ltd. The monies gained from the sale have allowed Tulloch Ltd to purchase a significant shareholding in Rok. So to recap, Tulloch Ltd is now a major shareholder of Tulloch Homes and RoK plc so, in effect, Tullochs have been given monies from Rok Plc to purchase Rok Plc. What I see from all this is a merger of two major construction companies, only its been carried out in such a way as not to involve the Monopolies and Mergers Commission. Incidently, its David Sutherland that has the main shareholding of ICT though Tulloch Ltd also has an interest.
  2. One would have thought that 12.30, 2.00, 3.00 sat and sun would be enough slots but I think Setanta have some agreement with Premplus on scheduling hence the friday night monday night games. Personally I think the police excuses for not allowing friday nights is a load of cr@p. Trouble doesn't usually begin till well after any match would end. Police used for football matches are normally on overtime shifts so as not to impinge on other policing and those who do get rowdy in town centres are likely to be at the match anyway.
  3. Surprised yon Buffy fae Dunfie hasnae made an appearance yet.
  4. I agree, friday's would be better but unfortunately the Scottish police will not allow cos they're too busy to police matches. The clubs probably aren't too bothered about it being monday because the reduction in crowds will probably be offset by the tv revenue.
  5. I wouldn't say Tulloch 'wasted' any money. They invested in the club and have probably benifitted from that investment. There name will have been seen worldwide through tv coverage of games.
  6. You may never see it Harry, but believe me, our eagle is always there.
  7. Hart does well for us when he's played in his best position, which I reckon is through the middle.
  8. Scotty, I,d go with your 3-5-2 from the start. Shock the opposition. They'll expect us to play the usual 4-4-2
  9. I've always believed Richie should get a start but not on the wing. He's much better in the centre.
  10. I'd like to see a five man midfield and my team would be: Brown Dods Munro Caff Tokely Wilson Hart Rankin Hastings Dargo Bayne Tokely and Hastings are both capable of getting up the field a bit and tracking back into the defensive role when needed. Wilson and Rankin play the corners and feed in crosses for the strikers. Hart coming through the middle to pick up what the front men miss and to get the ball out to the wide men.
  11. My figures are taken from the match reports on this site and start with Livi game on 14/1/06 for which CC was caretaker. As said in first post I only looked at league games and not cup.
  12. About a dozen or so, including Mr Chibber tried to make some noise. Surprisingly the home fans were very silent.
  13. I actually thought Rankin had a very good game yesterday. Agree about Black though.
  14. If my calculations are correct today was Charlie Christie's 25th league game in charge of the team, including his spell as caretaker when Brew left, and in that time we have won 11 drawn 8 and lost 6. We've also amassed 37 goals in these games. Personally I think that is a very good record of Charlies ability to manage this team given the resources he has available.
  15. I think, HC, we may find that Blackie is sidelined for a while as punishment for his needless fouling. According to CC the ref told Barry, at half time, that Blackie would be sent of if he committed one more foul. CC is a bit p1ssed of my the lads discipline, hence the reason he was pulled. Good for Richie Hart though cos it shows us and CC that he is coming good again. I reckon he'll start next week
  16. Just back from the game and a fair result. Niether team created many chances. The downside for me though was the atrocious Mike McCurry. He hasn't a clue. Didn't allow the game to flow and blew for the sake of hearing his own whistle. I didn't think anyone deserved yellow's. As for the squad, its very difficult to single out any one player. They all played ok but there just didn't seem to be a winning instinct about them. Dargo's miss wasn't as bad as some may think. Though it was only a few feet out, to be fair, he, like the rest of us, thought the keeper had a comfortable hold of the ball. When it was dropped Dargs was turning away from goal and was taken by surprise. Marks save in the dying seconds was excellent.
  17. ....................THIS Think I could save a fortune by going to the club, buying the goods, and asking politely. But then the seller is an Aberdireion
  18. ....................is everyone going to?
  19. I think this thread can be interpretated as a resounding vote of confidence for our Head Coach Charlie Christie and the person who had the audacity to even think about asking the question should hang his head in shame.
  20. I've met Kev a few times and he is a harmless lad. Bit stupid with a drink, and I mean that in a nice way. I seen him being removed just after Harry but didn't see why, other than his protests. He may have made a gesture as he was being led out but it wasn't anything that the away fans weren't doing as well. I hope he gets on ok in court and am saddened that the banning order has been imposed for something so trivial when nothing is done about the sectarian bile we are all subjected to from time to time. Kev is a passionate supporter of this club. Just a pity there weren't a lot more like him.
  21. Definite NO.
  22. jagster, you say 'outwith DP'. Bear in mind DP began his professional career in Inverness. As for CC not being animated enough. Why should he dance around the tech area. Some of the great managers dont shout and bawl at their players during a game. Le Guen spends most of the time sitting in the dugout. Mourhinno doesnt show much emotion, nor does Wenger. They watch and weigh up whats going on. They treat their players with respect, not abuse them. Would any of the people posting here like it if their boss at work was bawling them out all the time. I think not. Players know, when they leave the tunnel, what their role is and should be carrying out that role. Trouble is they seem to be frightened to perform as we all know they can.
  23. I think, for once, that Bonzo makes some sense in what he say's but there is one or two facts he has omitted. Donald Park, Assistant HEAD Coach. High profile player and coach. Surely he has the contacts and ability to bring players north, if indeed there are any available. He and Charlie work together, have equal standing at the club so should he not be taking some of the flack that is being meted out here. This team, under CC and DP, does play very well away from home so what is the problem at home. I dont really think its a management, or tactical, thing. I think its phsycological and would like to see the club bring in someone with the expertise to tackle this problem. Maybe we need to totally rethink our home tactics. Maybe a change of formation 3-4-3 perhaps. I would try Brown Tokely Munro Hastings Wilson Hart McBain Morgan McAllister Dargo Bayne Use the width of the pitch all the way forward with MacAllister running through the middle to pick up the crosses. But then I'm not a football tactician.
  24. I have sat near a guy who sounds just like this one on a few occassions and all he did for the whole 90 mins, even when we were playing well and goals up, was hurl downright abuse at our players. Assuming this is the same person then he is not offering an opinion. He is being a big mouthed prat and the sort of person who shouldn't be allowed into any stadium. I go to games to support my team, to enjoy myself and to revel in the atmosphere. I dont go to listen to blatant abuse of our players. I can critisise a move or a miss or whatever but I would never hurl personal insult. Thats no way to boost anyones confidence.
  25. Aberdeen provide national team players yet its the same distance from Glasgow as Inverness is so distance should not come into the equation.
