  3. Ooooopppppps...........forgot about that one Stevie :008:
  4. The wifey is saying............will you pair o' barstewards get your feckin hauns oot yer poakets and gie's some help. Believe it or not she comes from the ferry and two days earlier was banned from driving for a year and fined two grand after being found guilty of using her, stolen from shopmobility car, to go kerb crawling around that same area. Obviously, this time, she got too close to the kerb. And if that poor lady reads this site then it wasn't me who wrote the above..........it was a big man with a limp.
  5. I actually thought the catchphrase came from Glasgow: Gonnae geeus a haun wi this joab jimmy.
  6. Everyone assumes the park in question was Ibrox. In fact it was Calderpark........that other, now defunct, Glasgow animal santuary.
  7. January 29th 2005. First SPL game back at TCS against Dunfermline. Why? You may ask. Cos I wouldn't be so stupid as to climb that bloody fence this time :015:

  9. Actionman, thats why so many Scots hold high office in Westminster. Glebeict, I was thinking more of the first clearout of 1746 where the Jacobite supporters were forced to leave the country. If only the Prince hadn't taken advice from the royal sympathisers and had continued his march into London instead of turning back things could have been so much different today.
  10. Tongue....cheek....and the right, in this game, to use the sound as opposed to the spelling my good man. :003: orifice
  11. Obviously EWS has never met Chibber. If he's an old man I must be feckin Methusselah :015:
  12. Isnt it 27th for Rangers. Personally I'd go with 12 points from next four. Motherwell have been kind of hot and cold this season so I wouldn't take too much out of the Falkirk result. Killie could be the difficult one though.
  13. At least Charles acknowledges that he borrowed the sig from a female fan Mrs PB.
  14. At the end of the day, regardless of what anyone wants to say about CC, we are unbeaten at home this season. A feat not accomplished under the previous regime so the man must be getting something right.
  15. Rig, I wasn't talking so much about running after the ball as running into spaces where he can get a chance at goal. He has to move around, dodge defenders and make openings for himself.
  16. Is there a lot of rumpy pumpy in the Archers household JB

  19. Oh and I forgot about the import duty on most of the goods we buy.
  20. Scotland as a nation puts more cash into the Westminster coffers than she gets back. Fact. Dee doesn't want gaelic signage cos he cant even understand his fellow Dee's let alone gaelic. Fact. :003: Yes Denmark is reputed to be the highest taxed nation but Britian comes pretty close. Tax on alcohol to start with. Purchase tax is added then excise duty on top of that then VAT on top of all that, so in effect theres tax on tax on tax. As for Danish cars. There may indeed be 100% tax on the vehicle but the total cost is still about £3k less than UK. We also pay tax on every type of insurance cover we have. We pay tax on our savings. 80% of our fuel costs go to the taxman. We pay 17.5% VAT on all bar childrens clothing and food. We also have a purchase tax on everything we buy. Somewhere around 70% of what we earn finds its way back to the treasury. This small nation of ours could easily stand on its own and provide better health and social care services, better educational facilities and a better standard of life for all whilst maintaining the present levels of taxation. With reference to Glebeict's last post. The people of Scotland did not vote with their feet. They got kicked out of their lands for opposing the union. A union that was forced upon them by the greed of a small handful of, so called, leaders of our people. They took the english kings shilling and evicted the objectors.
  21. Hope to **** the gas pipes ok. Seriously though theres something very wrong about that picture. An ambulance technician and a passer-by standing with hands in pockets. Niether of them helping the poor lady. And worse...some dude behind a camera taking the picture. I'm horrified................but it is quite funny all the same.

  23. All the various anti-SNP comments that were spouted in Oban last week just shows how worried Jack and his cronies are about the looming elections. High income to Westminster from North Sea oil. New fields being developed. Advances in technology boosting production from existing older fields. Guaranteed production for at least the next thirty to forty years. Development into the Atlantic frontier. Thats what the southerners are worried about. Norway is a country of similar size and population to Scotland. They survive very well. Lower taxation, better conditions for parents and pensioners, better health care etc. Admittedly they have steered clear of the EEC. Eire, one of the fastest developing economies in Europe. Slightly higher income tax but no other sneaky hidden taxes. Those two countries are surviving very well. Why shouldn't we.
