Terry Butcher has been given time and he's achieved something at Inverness akin to what he done at Motherwell. Low fanbases, low budget, lots of youngsters etc. At both clubs he has taken all those on board and built successful teams. He's gone to places where there was money to spend, where there was meddling chairmen and where there was decent fanbases and he's failed. To me Terry is someone who gets his satisfaction from taking youngsters and making them footballers, with the help of a few experienced players, Someone who can, given time, mould a player into his system. I think that is the aspect of the game he loves and the proof is after a game we have won. Terry is elated and unafraid to display his emotions. Unafraid to stick out his chest in a 'thats my boys' kind of way. Thats his way, thats his type of players and thats where he's most successful. Terry Butcher would not be happy at a big club with wads of cash to spend on players.

One other point from the above statement. Having read the Herald article again. Knowhere is there anything to suggest this racial abuse against the English has been carried out by a Scot. Just that there have been reports of racial abuse of English people. They are many nationalities living in this country but the typical press, and Mr Bannerman, will spin anything to make a story sensational. -

And McGonigle added........they'd never mak anither fuss -
Certainly in Spain there are very few travelling fans. The distance and times of games put most off. Example distance from Madrid to Barcelona is probably close on 400 miles each way and most Spanish games kick off at 8pm on a Sunday night. I do like this story though http://www.sport360.com/blog/just-one-away-fan-sees-udinese-win-sampdoria

You are sounding like Derek Adams! A great comeback well done to get a point from United Who is sounding like Derek Adams? I am in another country with no access to any comentary or video or such like so I asked a question on here. I'll rephrase it so you may understand better. Why was there five minutes added on? Did someone get injured or what?

What Clacher say's. Mr Bannerman would like us to read that article with a pressmans eye. He'd like us to read this "There have also been reports of racial abuse of English people living and working in Scotland. Certainly more analysis needs to be carried out on the reason for the increase." But not actually see this Mr Pringle added: "This is not to say the majority of Scots are racially intolerant – on the contrary. Unfortunately, it's the age-old case of the minority giving the majority a bad name." Yes there are more incidents of abuse in Scotland, both against English people and every other nationality living in our country. Why? Simply because a minority are intolerant of almost anybody. Ask the writer of the article to go through court records and identify each case thats come before a sheriff and I'll bet that there are many of those who have been pulled out of football crowds because the nation has decided that it wont put up with such any more. These are the few people who think that because using certain language or chanting certain slogans should carry on because its tradition. The minority of OF fans who still persist in their songs regardless of outcome also comes into that category. Where before they'd likely get chucked out of the ground now they are getting charged and convicted. From now until the referendum we will get many more articles like the herald one trying to convince the world that the ordinary law abiding Scot is a thief or a racist or a bigot or any other such thing and the Charles Bannermans of the world will take it all in and peddle it like its fact. This thread will now go to serious topics and all may debate further without spoiling the ICT forum. -
Forsooth the chicken will lay the golden egg. The mighty will shine in the light of a billion candles and the great unwashed will forever cower in the shadow cast over the island of black

If he is then our club will be a million or two richer.

The unwashed people of the Global No Energy Arena, complete with Wendy house, nestling in the shadow of the countries largest traveller camp, Dingwall, see the opportunity to be giant killers in a league match against the spotlight doused might of fortress Longman.

Holsten Pils? Holsten is Hamburg. The Czech's were the first to brew pilsner. Cant remember what the local Prague one was but its good. Holsten, Beck's Stella etc are all pilsner lagers. Now if only we could get one of them to sponsor us!!!

Oh and I haven't witnessed Anglophobia anywhere in Scotland. Anti Westminster perhaps but fear of the Anglo's. I dont think so. -

What a load of pathetic, patronising drivel!! On the other hand if, as a community (and it does), Inverness promotes itself through the media of a mythical water creature, people irritating the hell out of the locals by incessantly playing the bagpipes on the High Street and the most misunderstood battle in British history, we deserve everything we get. But please don't subscribe to the Anglophobia which apparently has been on the rise in Scotland in recent years. Central belt Scots are just as capable of tarring us with the Brigadoon brush which - unfortunately - we are very good at asking for. That first line was well said Charles....................but then you spoil it with your next comments. We all know your pro-British sentiments and your hatred for anything traditionally Scottish but is it really necessary to get them in on a thread that is being critical of some persons fairy stories. For all we know the writer could be Scottish, indeed could be Invernessian. -
A draw against C*unt* is hardly form.

I doubt there are 50,000 Invernessians in Inverness. I know two from Dundee. I know a couple from Nairn. Some from Dingwall. There are also Weegies and other central belters. And of course Polish, Romanian, Chinese, Indian, Pakistani's and a miriade of other nationalities. 100-200 is a reasonable turnout away from home ten days before christmas, considering the cost of an awayday. That said I only caught the last few minutes of BBC live text cos of having to do some work. Said there that the pen was for a handball and Foran booked for dissent. Where did the five mins of added time come from? Three down after 8 minutes and yet we still take the lead against one of the better teams in the league. I think that says a helluva lot for the grit and determination of this squad. No heads going down. Just dust ourselves down, get on with the job and get a result. I'll wager that every player on our team today is gutted by the final result, more especially Richie, but I say to each and every one of them, Keep doing what you are doing and the results will fall into place. Another 4 goals for and a hat-trick for Billy (now top of SPL score list I think) has to say lots for the character of this team and, regardless of having lost 4 goals, the belief and commitment of the manager and his assistants. Well done on a very good result away from home lads.

This seasons No 1 chant has to be 'The Highlands are Ours'. Next season against a French team 'Europe is Ours' Europe is Ours' You Sheep Burning B***ards, 'Europe is Ours' If playing Spaniards its, 'We sunk your Armada' For German team its, 'A Jock Sunk your Bismark' (For the young and those with no interest in history the Jock in question was Commander George Dalrymple-Hamilton who commanded HMS Rodney, one of the battleships responsible for the sinking of Germany's flagship battle cruiser Bismark)

Why stop at ST holders. How about cheap tickets for cup games if you can produce two or three of the previous home game ticket stubs.
