  1. Rig, I reckon that average figure will drop a bit more on boxing day but will increase to over the 4000 on 2nd january.
  2. Pardon me for asking the obvious but how did this thread become a Laurence cricket thread?
  3. Got to admit that as far as cricket goes I'm with PMF. Now Captain Morgan....thats another discussion altogether. Should I drink it with coke, on the rocks, lemonade or just neat?
  4. Would love to take up your challenge SMEE but I just dont have the time just now. Got a living to earn.
  5. Aye but do you know what he uses it for when not interviewing.
  6. This is an internet site on the World Wide Web so what difference does it make where mods or admin are based? I'm sure another mod will correct me if I'm wrong but of the ten mods on this site only four live outside Inverness so I cant see where the lack of Inverness based comes from. As for the other point I am over 35 and my big team is ICT. In fact, although I enjoy any football, no matter who's playing, I only have one team that I support.
  7. Who are you to question my loyalty to the club? Perhaps if you weren't so blind that you live in some ideal world where-by the club finances are mystically provided year-on-year you would understand that the club is a business and any businesses needs to break even as a minimum. In order to do that you need a healthy turn-over covering the costs in our case thats not provided by the 3000 fans turning up weekly, so unless that increases signifcantly the only way to make money is sell off assests - i.e. players. I'd rather we sell players than end up in huge debts chasing a dream. Where from? We are 2nd in the league, in a cup semi, highest scorers in the league, playing entertaining football and still only getting 3000 fans at a game. There is nowhere for cash to roll in from that I can see? Better sponsorship. We have been getting mentioned in all the media in the last few months and sponsors will see this. There will be bigger business outside of the Highlands who will see our success as a means to sell their product. More especially if we do as well as we'd like to do.
  8. And all I look at is how many points we are behind the leader.
  9. No that says he has no respect for anything....not even the town of Dingwall
  10. Aaahhhh but do you know that for definite or are we all just holograms. Besides they looked in a drawer and found another calendar.
  11. Top o the list.docx MacKay top o the scorers. Doran top o the assists
  12. A wee tune to cheer him up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pY-rPDwzM9M
  13. How does any school get Royal status and if its a new build can it still carry the Royal in the name?
  14. Not sure how you deduce that we, or any other team, are punching above our weights any more. We were when we came into the league back in 04 and probably up until our relegation season. Since coming back two seasons ago I think we have matched every other team bar the twins. This season we have a team who can outplay and outperform any other in the league (barring the Steelers) so we are far from punching above our weight. We are on a par with them all. I can, however, understand how that would p1ss you off though Smee. Being the eternal pessimist you are it must be galling not to have so many opportunities to make negative comments. We are 19 games into the season with 19 to go. 20 points clear of the bottom. 5 points off the top. Possibility of European football. Still in the two cups with a chance of at least one final. In a position where our team can actually enjoy their game more and therefore produce results. A position where the fans are so elated that they can accept that the odd defeat will happen but that we will still be strong and all you can do is try and pour water on the fire. You need to get a life mun.

Is that not a bit of a contradiction Ross?
  16. SPL golden boot for Billy..............................and the European one next season. Who needs Messi when we've got Nessi
  17. Got to agree with ferben. We may well need additional cover for our first European games. These will be played before the window opens so it'd be good to have them in place sooner.

  19. I wouldn't call Monaco a wee team. They are a merger team though. having been formed by the unification of a number of tems from Monaco and France. There the similarities to us end. They are seen as one of the most successful clubs in the French league having won seven league titles and five French cups. they have also been runners up in both the European Cup Winners Cup and Champions league. manybe one day we'll say we are akin to AS Monaco but I think thats a few years away yet.
  20. Its a cut and paste from a legal eagle site. Currently under the FIFA Transfer Regulations a football player is unable to play for more than three teams in one season. This applies whether the player has been transferred or simply is on loan with that club. This also applies regardless of what country that player has plied his trade in, whether that is in Europe, Africa or South America. As long as a player has represented a club in a league under the adjudication of a FIFA Member Association they will only be able to play for three different clubs. However, this does mean that a football player is free to represent a total of three different clubs in any league in the world over the course of one season. As can be seen the rule is three teams in a season so Russell could play a game or three then join another club.
  21. Think we've only two over 6 foot. OTJ and Draper according to Wiki. Doesn't give Warren or Sutherland. All the rest are 6 foot or under. But then thats Wiki.
  22. fixed it for ya
  23. or twenty years after marrying your wife still wishing you'd stayed single.
  24. The interest was obviously there, it just needed stirred up. FACT, Caley in the Highland league days of the 50s and 60s enjoyed support that easily matchs todays ICT support and the twon was a fraction of the size it is now. Caley had a lot of sleeping support, some of whom, now choose to follow C*unty because of the merger Fact...East Stirlingshire, who's average attendances over the last ten seasons have been below 500, could, during the same period you mention, enjoy crowds in the thousands. Hundreds of thousands of people enjoyed the release of the saturday match after a hard weeks work back in those days from war ending till the hooligan element spoiled it all.
  25. I'd imagine that would depend on sales prior to the day. The other thing is that its up to the clubs to sell their own tickets and I'm not sure Hibs or the SFL would be likely to put on the staff for this.
