I love our board and would jump in front of a moving bus for them for bringing us to the SPL. So please don't take my comments out of context. I merely think its a sign, not that our board is not ambitious, but that its content with where we are, that 3 of the canididates for our recent mangers vacany were previous managers.

A player who you would leave the game feeling that he had made it worth it - a player who could produce a little bit of magic - a player who would make the opposition look like wallies - a player who could score goals out of the blue and spectacularly - a player that you would pay money to travel for cos you just knew that he could turn a game in an instant. Bingham and Juanjo were the main two - Niculae couldnt lace their boots when it came to my criteria. I presume the moment of magic you are referring to was something like this: 1:04, there is also more footage of him at 2:06
  14. Just the one :029: Im gonna say get rid of the awful atmosphere, move back to Pittodrie, bring back Juanjo, and re-form the BENI. If I say it all in the one sentance do I get off with it.

As much as I like Russel Duncan, that is an excellent post.

Can I just ask, did he actually drop Marius' name in the quote, or is that just the courier and lazy journalism.
  17. :015:Fraid not, these things generally take at least 6 weeks to make and deliver.
  18. You can take the Clach out of Merkinch, but you can't take the Merkinch out of Clach. Or something along those lines.

Interesting to note that, according to the Courier, Duncan has "turned down the club's initial offer because it does not meet his expectations, and believes that any new deal should reflect a wage similar to what the top players, such as Marius Niculae receive" :024: Typical Courier spin, that just stirs the *****. I hope
  22. Say what you like, the atmosphere hasn't been the same since Bingham_legend and co stopped banging on their drum. I particularly remember the Beni Drum Corp at Pittodrie. That was quality atmosphere.
  23. There is a differenece between boring and good. 4 points clear suggest otherwise.
  24. TCF, are you the alter ego of one of the other regular contributors to this site, on a wind up?
