We're still a league 1 club with limited resources. It's not going to take much to be a marquee signing at this level.
  2. Nobody in that who should give us the fear. Hamilton, Kelty and Cove all with serious money issues. Any or all of them could be administration candidates next season.
  3. I agree but I do think the level of discount seems a bit high. The idea of a loyalty discount system sounds good and might have stopped me breaking my continuity when swithering on renewal with all the bs last year.
  4. They could half the cost of attending matches (not just us) and it would still be one of the most expensive forms of entertainment out there. What's needed is additional value in whatever way that can be provided.
  5. That was the season that was. No words to describe how proud I am of the team and (post DF) management/coaching. Wouldn't wish what they've had to go through on any team (well maybe 2) but they will have learned a lot about themselves and what can be achieved by pulling together as a team. Avoiding the play offs means they will all now get a thoroughly deserved full summer break. Hope to see many of them pulling on the Caley Thistle shirt again next season.

From the Inverness Courier, it looks like we can offer existing players contract extensions even though we're still in administration. According to the P&J, Danny Devine is the first to say publicly that he intends to stay.
  7. Morton or Montrose. They all smell the same to me.
  8. ...and Billy Mckay obliges.
  9. Feel like we're playing well within ourselves. Get a third to kill it then a game against Morton for sixth place next week.
  10. Club media went the same way as everything else over the last 6 or 7 years. Highlights have become sporadic and quality is atrocious even when we do get them. Hopefully it is one of the things on Alan Savage's list to be looked at.
  11. Nerve racking end to the season. Easy to get caught up in the negatives and be critical but I'm grateful that we're even in a position to have a fighting chance.
  12. Are there not rules about deliberately fielding a weakened team? From memory I think we had to defend a scenario where we played a youth team in a cup game?
  13. I'm starting to feel sorry for you now.
  14. Link for the podcast?
  15. I acknowledged the fact that we have no knowledge on Kells ability to build a squad we don't even know what resources he might have to do so. Next season is still an total unknown on almost every front. Doesn't mean we can't or shouldn't compare his performance to his predecessor. Two different things.
  16. Need to hope that Scooby Doo doesn't appear to rip off Savages mask revealing that he is really Makwana.
  17. Votes are only based on the people in the room and proxies (?) so unless all 500 plus shareholders show up (and we already know that's not possible) at a meeting then we are rarely if ever looking at calculating percentages against all shares.
  18. The 10 vs 23 games is why I used average PPG. If you want to go back and include 23 games for Ferguson then his average is even worse and only strengthens the case for Kell. I don't take anything said online to heart so you can sleep easy and not worry about upsetting me. Feel free to disagree with me any time you like and I will continue to do the same.
  19. I don't think it is stretching it and a quick look at previous managers shows that his PPG is up there with the best and better than many. John Hughes in 2014/15 is the last time we saw it that high and only in promotion seasons prior was it higher. I've deliberately not mentioned other factors in this (but others have) because it's tough to quantify and whilst we can't judge his ability to put a squad together etc., we are seeing his ability to get much more out of a squad than his predecessor and many other 'good' managers in our history. Not denying there hasn't been disappointing performances and results in there too but that's part of football and judging managers on individual games and not overall results during their tenure is a slippery slope. I think he's already delivered the near impossible by going into the last 3 games with hope of league survival. When he delivers it that will be the miracle. I'd be really disappointed if Kell was removed at the end of the season and think it would be unjust. Weirdly I think he'd be getting less criticism if we hadn't got anywhere near 8th place because people's expectations wouldn't have been raised so high. The ultimate case of being the victim of your own success?
  20. The point if my last couple of posts was to say that the facts show Kell has done a great job and the suggestion to the contrary was uncalled for. You then have 3 paragraphs saying the facts don't show how well Kell is doing and the 10 games from before he took over mean nothing and you then immediately follow it with a comment saying people can't deny how well he is doing. Yours sincerely, Mr Confused
  21. If my counting is correct... Ferguson averaged 1.2 points per game for 10 games. Kell is averaging about 1.7 points per game. That's around 40% improvement We've had some poor performances but so do all teams and the poor performances over the first 10 games this season were when the damage was done. I'm as frustrated as the next person that we've not yet secured our league one status but I don't see how anyone can come to the conclusion that Kellacher was not the answer to the situation we were/are in.
  22. I'm not even going to try and defend today's performance, but that comment is uncalled for. We were wrong end of the table before administration and if not for the 15pt deduction Kell would have us fighting it out at the top of the table. If the question is where would we be without him the answer is likely battling it out with Dumbarton for the auto relegation spot.
  23. Results elsewhere mean we've not been sorely punished but an opportunity missed to put a bit more space between ourselves and Annan. Don't think Kelty were 2 goals better than us today. One of those games where they took their chances and we didn't. It's going to be a nervy last 3 games and hopefully it is only another 3 games.
  24. And I get back to my seat to discover Musa has been subbed.
  25. Wouldn't say we're playing for the draw but it has been a very cautious first half. I hope Musa is ok for the second half as I was a little worried when he needed treatment. A draw wouldn't be terrible but I think Kelty are there for the taking if we just up the tempo a little second half.
