The Parachute Payment

Not counting any chickens as yet but would we still be entitled to the second instalment of our " parachute payment " in the event of being promoted after a single season in the wilderness.

The reason I ask is that relegated teams are entitled to ?250,000 in the first season after relegation and ?125,000 in the second but no side has regained their SPL status with the second instalment outstanding since the payment was introduced.

An additional ?125,000 would come in very handy when settling with Marius !

I thought it was ?250k upon relegation then ?125k should they not get promoted the following season?

Is that not the same thing?

You might well be right. If so, that answers my question.

Will there not also be a handsome payment from SFL for winning the league?

That is the same thing...

No it's not - ?250 000 + ?125 000 = ?375 000 if not promoted in first season

- ?250 000 + zilch nada nil points = ?250 000 if promoted in first season
