Motivation

(Time to take the blinkers off) Thought we where really awfull today lacking any inspiration or motivation  and adding to that absolutely no football tactics whatsoever . Maybe just once if it's not working we should try and  change our  shape and get away from the long hopefull balls .CC talks about how he likes the  game to be played . but we seem to struggle to put more than 3 passes together before someone hoofs it forward.

One of the problems is that, although our defence is strong at stopping an attack, there is no confidence it taking the ball forward under control. Dods, for one, tends to panic under pressure and the ball either ends in the stand or somewhere in the clouds. We need a couple of defenders who can hold up the ball and control the attack.

What we really need is at least one wide player with pace , something we haven't had since Robson left. All we seem to do is play through the middle ,when not playing it long .

Oh, so the modern game does not allow for the existence of two wingers who have pace and who can streak for the byline to make the hard cross across the goal --that only needs a tap in.?

Now that is a strange way to play football when a team has no wingers.

No goals , no excitement , no fans---oh well it is modern though .....      :007:
