ICT officially best team in the North !

The newspaper that - according to urban legend - reported the sinking of the Titanic as "Aberdeenshire man drowns at sea" has posted a nice wee article today that heaps a bit of praise on Terry Butcher and the boys as the best team in the North !!!

the article "You have to be good to defeat north’s best team on its travels" has a few nice quotes like .....

"Caley Thistle weren't lucky. You cannot go for a year without defeat in away games through good fortune alone"

"For the first time in the club's history, Inverness Caledonian Thistle are the best team in the north of Scotland. The league doesn't lie and two games between Inverness and Aberdeen add further credence to that statement"

Well we knew it.... nice to have the pysh & drivel to confirm it!

Wouldn't mind a cheeky 'pride of the north' ICT scarf. From now on I think I'll refer to ICT as NBT.

Aye, but did this appear in the Aberdeen version of the paper? that would have been sweet... and a few choice responses from dons fans.

P&J is like a gossip column, there are journalists arguing on the publication...

McGhee out!!!

Back McGhee

It's good that a paper is posting different points of view but I thought the idea was for news papers to write facts and keep their opinions out of it... no?

In this day and age, with instant news on the Internet or your mobile phone, newspapers rely more and more on opinion pieces (staff or public), columnists and editorials as they know people can get their news from anywhere but may not get a particular slant from news sites or aggregators.

either way, glad it appeared in the Aberdeen version
