Lost money from Rangers game

Was in the telegraph today mentioning the clubs that Rangers owe money to for tickets, transfer fees etc.

It also mentioned that ICT have already supplied Rangers with tickets for the game this month meaning we will be screwed in actually getting the money from Rangers, given that they owe other clubs money for tickets from games already played.

Why did we do this? Other clubs have made Rangers and Hearts pay the money up front for tickets or have sold the away tickets themselves. We just said no bother and stuck them in the post??

If they have the same amount as Celtic that is about 3,500 for south, part of main and west stands. Tickets range from £30 to £20 for away fans for this game meaning that we will have lost out on near £100,000!

Is there anything that can be done? Cancel tickets and re sell to away fans directly new tickets of a different colour? Seems a bit impractical. Our own fault it looks like for being naive.

Dunfermline's case seems to be compounded by the effects of the postponed Kilmarnock match and the fact they have admitted to owing the Taxman £44,000. I also get the feeling they (Pars) are trying to play the position to their advantage by encouraging fans to get along and help boost the coffers.

As it's just a cashflow issue and the money will come eventually, then what we might see is the SPL doing as they have done before when clubs have had problems and issuing some advance payments. Last time they did it was when clubs were hit with a lot of postponed games due to weather and nobody had any cash coming in.

It would be a big worry if this issue of not receiving payment from Rangers would cause us such serious cash flow problems.

Its on sky anyway isnt it so thats extra unbudgeted income.

We only receive additional TV income for games over and above those agreed by Sky/ESPN/BBC at the start of the season (mostly cup and post split matches).
