I dont know if its been mentioned anywhere else on this forum, and I feel too shocked to troll through to see, but sadly I have just found out that Dave Grant, husband of Laura (L_G) lost his battle against cancer today.

I think, knowing what all this family put into supporting our club, it is right and fitting that mention is made on our main forum.

There are not many guys nicer than Dave nor many families nicer than the Grants and both my wife Aileen and I are deeply shocked and saddened by this news.

We give our deepest heartfelt condolences to Laura, Alan and Lynne in these sad times. Rest in peace Dave.

Good send off for big Dave, heartfelt service and standing room only at the crematorium.

We promised him a good send off and I'm sure he would have loved it. Thank you for all your kind thoughs and wishes and to all those who made it to the funeral - means a lot and helped us all x

I think you're spot on Laura. As funerals go, Dave's was a good one.

My condolences to you and your family Laura, It's always sad to hear such news. Nothing anybody can say can take away the hurt but I'd like to say that the quick passing away is honestly a blessing.
