Have read recently that there are problems regarding naming the required amount of Under 21 players in todays squad.

Charlie Christie is struggling to fulfil the requirement that three outfield players in Inverness' squad against Aberdeen are under 21.

With a couple of youngsters suffering from flu and the club's under-19 team away in Cyprus, Christie has an unusual problem to contend with.

Does anyone know more on the situation or what would happen if we were unable to name 3 U21 players in the match day squad?

At the very worst, Charlie could name U21 players as subs even if they are at home in their beds.

Havent heard of this sitution crop up before.

Wouldnt naming a player on the bench who isnt actually present incur SPL disciplinary action?

I thought it was only two U-21's that were required but if its three then the problem was solved with the inclusion of Soane for Zander. Will be more difficult in March when Blackie hits 22.

Maybe if someone stole the bench pre-match it wouldn't count if the guys were not there !!  ???
