Does anyone know how much we earned in terms of place money for finishing third in the Premiership and how that compares with what we got for fourth place last season and how much  we earned in prize money from William Hill/ The SFA for winning the Scottish Cup ?

...from memory last season, I think 2nd/3rd prize money differs by about £75k. Not sure about straight prize mioney for Scottish Cup, but you've got to think that, with merchandising and ticket sales included, we should have cleared somewhere near £500k? Add in the £150k for Billy, it has got to be a fairly hefty income!

Not as much as if there was a "rangers" in some guise or another in the top flight.

We all need one.  Allegedly.

Armageddon...

Or something.

I think coming 3rd netted us about 1.5Mil

£1,485,000 for 3rd place. The Scottish Cup is a minefield of figures but at a rough guess £600,000. Prize money for actually winning the cup isn't that great, £100,000 or thereabouts. The rest is income from attendances and TV, minus costs for SFA, police, stewards etc. The club accountant will have a hard enough time working it out never mind me!

It may be a headache to work out, but a very, very welcome headache!!

not to mention the extra €10,000 that we earned by winning the Cup and getting a bye in the first round of the Europa League qualifiers !

First round qualifiers get €120,000, but 2nd round is €130,000. get to the next round it goes up another €10K and then another €10K for the final round before the group stage. Getting to the group stages earns clubs a minimum €1,300,000 plus money for every point attained  !!!

Looking at last few years fixtures its not inconceivable for us to get to 3rd qualifying rd if we get the right draw, but it will all be an adventure
