  1. I wish the Citadel was still open as it was a real window into old Inverness. Wonder when, if ever, that all stakeholders agree that the stadium is in a crap location and for the wider benefit of Inverness should be moved to the Bught?
  2. It lost them the match but not the tie. They were out anyway at 0-0. Wasn't sure whether to post this here or on the ex ICT Players Score thread. Shinnie Goal
  3. Milne's Buildings. Victoria Square was next door I think. I was young when we left there but my memory is that Milne's Buildings and Victoria Square made up the footprint of what is now the multi-storey, MB closest to the railway line and VS closest to Academy Street.
  4. Talking early 70s so had a b&w job which had a dial on the front to tune in. For some reason I can remember watching Z-Cars on it and nothing else. When was the bridge demolished? Was it when Friars Bridge was built mid 80s?
  5. It's just the perspective of the photo that makes it confusing. It's definitely taken from the old railway bridge and it was steep. As a 3 or 4-year-old I used to push my trike to the top and freewheel down. Don't know what today's parents would make of that but back then no-one seemed to give a sh1t.
  6. I'm thinking the car might be a Ford Zephyr mark 1? That's a lovely looking flat in a great location you lived in. Shame all this had to go as it was an interesting and beautiful part of the town. Certainly can't say the same for what's there now. Rose St Hall next for the chop.
  7. I was in this block of flats, but on the opposite side from you overlooking the temporary (15 years!) police station and the Inverness Motor Company. We got our marching orders when they decided to knock it down to make way for the multi-storey. Think that was about 72/73.
  8. I doubt attitude, workrate and commitment will be an issue here. At 27 if he fecks this up he'll be lucky to get a game with Strathpish Thistle or whatever they're called. Hope he repays the faith we've shown in him. Is it a straight 1 year deal or do we have the option of a 2nd year? That old chestnut. Say something offensive and then pretend you were "fishing".
  9. We are quite fortunate in that we have our own local "development league". It's called the SHFL and there are 6 teams in it that are an hour or less from Inverness. A good young player playing a season long loan in the SHFL will learn a hell of a lot more than a few games against central belt yoofs. From what I saw against Lossie there are probably 3 of our development squad that could be loaned out right now and do well in the SHFL. For me this is the way to go to develop our best young players.
  10. BBC are clearly having the same issues as CBC...
  11. Apologies, Tob, for the misleading KO time. I can only see it advertised as 1pm. It was on the Lossiemouth FC match secretary's Facebook page as 1pm certainly and on various other forums! I can only assume it was brought forward at short notice...or maybe just started early so the squad could get back in time for the St Mirren game! Anyway, good to hear that Richie is actually, eventually, on the road to back to fitness! No problem...I'm not going to shoot the messenger! At first I was wondering why so many subs were coming on in the first 15 minutes and then the penny dropped. An enjoyable 45 minutes nonetheless and free to get in. We have some very exciting prospects in our development squad, especially in attack. Totally dominated the 2nd half.
  12. Just back from Lossie. 3-2 win for us. Richie played the first half apparently but I missed it as the k.o. was 12 not 1. One name to watch out for - Chris Blackett. He was outstanding.
  13. So did I. I've been following/posting on CTO for the best part of 15 years and this is definitely the worst layout I've seen.
  14. If you're stuck send them to me and I'll put them on YouTube then embed them here in your name.
  15. Quite apt that his name can be reassembled to I Gain Virus as this would be the effect on our squad if we signed him.
  16. A video not a pic so I'll put it here.
  17. Cheers Scotty. Got it now.
  18. Plus a very decent Falkirk, QoS and St Mirren who weren't that far behind Motherwell. Going to be another interesting year in the Championship.
  19. Thanks Scotty. I have now tried embedding the youTube code in SpecialBBCode/Media. It looks fine in the preview but when I hit Add Reply it disappears. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
  20. Site won't let me add a MP4 file to a post even though it's well below 10MB. Are these file types blocked, and if so can they be unblocked?
  21. £1,485,000 for 3rd place. The Scottish Cup is a minefield of figures but at a rough guess £600,000. Prize money for actually winning the cup isn't that great, £100,000 or thereabouts. The rest is income from attendances and TV, minus costs for SFA, police, stewards etc. The club accountant will have a hard enough time working it out never mind me!
  22. Wish I'd taken a video of it unfolding. Thoughts were...this might be cringeworthy...taking shape though...nearly there...wow that is fkn fantastic. Brilliant job done by all.
  23. The whole 4 and a bit hours here.
  24. It was slightly hidden away. BBC don't really like us winning the cup it seems. On the way home last night the Radio Scotland 7pm sport news had Glasgow winning some rugby match as the top story with us playing second fiddle.
