Hamilton - 6

Noticed that Hamilton have been deducted 6 points for breaching SPFL rules re loan players etc.

That is nice ( for us) It does not come as a surprise considering the way they have been run!

I felt that way too, but I know someone who would disagree with that!

I was seeing my wife's folks last week. They are all Stenny supporters. I was talking to her cousin about League One - and, BTW, he'll be pleased if Stenny finish the season in the top 4 - when he became quite animated and angry about Caley Thistle.

"They've got an advantage that no one else has!", he spat.

"What's that?".

"They don't owe anyone any money!".

Well, I suppose he's right. I did point out what they went through to get to that state, but he wasn't having any of that.

So I suspect that he would regard starting on -5 as letting us off lightly.

Let's have another 0-9 on Saturday, please, lads.

Next time you see them, tell them the league gets won at their place on 11th April.

Makes them a more dangerous animal for this weekend’s game if it gets the go ahead!

From the table, that's 21 points this season!

Would be in 4th place with 38 points if they'd had no deductions.

Big Cherly is right - they'll be dangerous!

That's a lot even if they avoid administration.

I'm not sure if it makes them any more dangerous - if the players aren't being paid then they might not fight as hard. I suppose it depends if they were paid in January.

They will be very dangerous but any of their experienced or well paid players - not many left now - will be aware that administration is a real threat. That will play havoc with family life and budgets. The new owners - still have not paid the Funding Globe up to £300k - are taking on significant debt which presumably requires payment to HMRC fairly quickly. Now that they have explored the debt will they be happy to fund everything to avoid administration?

Our approach for the rest of this season has to treat the next game as the toughest yet.

It's because of the threat of administration that I thought they might be more dangerous. Some players might see themselves as being in the shop window now, and could be out to impress possible future employers. On the other hand, they might just be dispirited. We'll see.

I thought the immediate threat of administration was due to the Funding Globe, who I assume are behind the "active charge holder enforcement". But HMRC will be near the head of the queue if it happens.
