  2. To be fair, Dalglish, Law, Best etc are in England's Hall of Fame http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Football_Hall_of_Fame - it's for the league, not the 50 caps international team.

  3. Seven wins in a row and now 6 points clear. I'm certainly in the camp of it would be good for the Highlands to have 2 SPL teams. Of course we get the Highland derbies back, and extra income from the attendances, as well as the excitement of the derby, but It occured to me the other day though, that there is one other massive benefit. We will have another ally in the fight against a 10 team SPL. If two teams are needed to block it, then with other Chairmen started to stutter, then ourselves and County could be key IF everything goes to plan for us and them until the end of the season. Years ago, Highland teams were blocked from joining the SFL, and even when we joined, there were many lowlanders not happy to travel 'such long distances'. How fitting would it be, that in a years time, it could be 2 Highland teams that dictate the whole structure of the league. That really would be 2 fingers to all the prejudiced ones who don't want us there!

  5. Absolute tosh. It was a political decision to base the HFA in Dingwall which was made easier by the inability of Inverness to put together a package everyone could agree on. As is the case in much of our past certain people were more worried about what others may or may not get out of any deal hence Dingwall slipped right up the middle. Sad really (although great for County and people out there). The Charleston set up was just a token gesture to try to pacify people. MacGregor is talking nonsense about County's commitment to youth. This should be rephrased as County's commitment to cash. The much heralded RCFC youth programme has benefited from significant public sector cash over the years to fund coaches who then go and provide sessions for a 'nominal fee'. The club kept (still do as far as I'm aware) all this income. As part of being 'social inclsuive' the programme is open to anyone of any ability. Put another way,it doesn't matter how good you are as long as you pay you are welcome! Any youth product that has come through the County system has nothing to do with their Kids Make Cash programme but a result of a decent scouting network (e.g. MacKay Steven) or family ties (e.g. Alex Cooper). The focus on youth development is a focus on parents cash.

  6. Would be great if Johnny stays fit long enough to get in contention. Otherwise we could be faced with the first Euros in 8 years not to have an ICT player.....

  7. Even allowing he only played for 4 seasons for rangers , hardly hall of fame material ! Captained a terrific and successful Rangers side, brought Motherwell back from the dead, helped produce talents like James McFadden, guided them to a scottish cup final. Then he came here, brought us back to the SPL at the first time of asking, an achievment matched by only one other manager in the last 15 years who at one point was the national manager...yeah Butch is well average.
