  1. I don't like these comments. Butcher needs to take some responsibility for our position in the league. The back 4 of Meekings-Tokely-Hogg-Gillet has just played consecutive games together for the first time, so it's hardly surprising that they look a little lost together. Butcher said after the Killie game that he's known his best team since pre-season but hasn't been able to play it because of injuries. This is clearly untrue because Hogg and Davis weren't signed until the season had started. I suspect that Butcher is only beginning to realise what his best team is, and that the amount of chopping and changing he's done in the meantime has a lot to do with the number of goals we've conceded.

  2. Sorry to make this more political BUT the Lib Dems were in power from 1999 to 2007 in a coalition with Labour in the Scottish Executive Government.

  4. Average speed cameras worked on the M77 but it was treacherous. Comparison to the trams is way off the mark. They expect the final cost to be around ?1 billion which equates to around ?100 million per mile. The channel tunnel cost ?9 billion for 30 miles and when you consider there are 3 tunnels it comes in about the same cost per mile. There has been some inflation since then but I think it gives a bit of perspective to the shambles the trams have been. They weren't even needed, the bus service in Edinburgh was and is excellent. I don't believe in party politics but I do believe Scotland will thrive as an independent country whoever we get in government.

  5. Why cant we convert the away dressing room into a shop and get the away team to sit in the porta cabin at half time.

  6. Was it not already in place before the North Stand was built? I agree with you that it is unsightly, but it's there and anything we might want to do to it to improve its look or relocate it costs money we dont have so we just have to live with it. We may not have a bank debt, but over the last couple of years we have been operating at a loss so every penny counts and I dont see where pumping money into moving it or tarting it up would actually give us any benefit other than the "look". If we get to the stage where we can (or need to) spend some money on infrastructure, then this should be high up on the list IMHO. You're right Scotty, it was there before the stand was built but why was it not moved then? Unfortunately, money is the reason for everything at ICT - we always don't have enough to do this that or the next thing. If things are so bad that we can't tart up that shed then the business must cut it's cloth. If we can't increase our income we must cut wages and general expenses and that will most probably mean relegation and redundancies and if we can't cope with that then we go bust. OBTW the only reason we don't have any bank debt is that we don't have any assets to borrow against. The lsat time we were in serious stook new people came in to "restructure". Is it not therefore time a similar exercise took place - new money - new people - a new start! Sorry going way off topic so I'll go and put my head down.

Administration pending, unless... How can we go from SupercaleygoballisticCelticareatrocious in the year 2000, to Scottish Cup Winners in 2015, playing in Europe and just 9 years after lifting the Cup; Administration. Mismanagement and our demise was hastened by the appointment of Scot Gardiner. Ever since then, ludicrous decision making has seen our stock plummet whilst 'shady' dealings were investigated. The failed Concert Company, the Battery Storage, the Statkraft contract have all ended badly leaving the club facing insolvency.

That's another fine mess you've got us into.

      Chairman Ross Morrison resigns

Nothing official from the club as we speak, but the Inverness Courier are running with a story that Ross Morrison has resigned at 18:00 tonight 3rd June.  More to come as this story develops, but most fans are looking for more heads to roll.

Speaking exclusively to The Inverness Courier, Mr Morrison said he is leaving now because of the aftermath of the Fife move. “I believe it [the move to Fife] is the best way forward and I have to stick with my beliefs,” Mr Morrison said. “This is the reason I'm stepping down now.”

Reflecting on his time with the Caley Thistle, Mr Morrison said: “My six-year tenure with the club has had some great and some not so great times but through everything I was immensely proud to be the chairman of the club and clubs I’ve supported for 50 years - I was a Jaggie by the way.

“I would ask the fans to rally round the club at this time and show their support by not only purchasing their season tickets but also getting involved directly with the club to see how they can help.

“Hearing fans saying they would prefer administration to training the first team in Kelty sent a shiver down my spine. Administration is a desperate thing to happen to a club and must, at all cost, not happen to ICTFC.”
