We've all seen the ramifications of living outwith your means and we all know also how tight the purse strings at ICT are so do we really want to see them burst or stretched to the full just because some players may be available? I can see why people are discussing about certain players that the administrators at Rangers will terminate contracts off but tbh honest I see none of them that will either be in our league or will even come upto the Highlands. We are talking abouts players like Laffertey, Papac, Aluko and Healey due to the short length of time left on their contracts and also players like McGregor, Davis, Naismith and Goian due to the possibilty of bringing in transfer money from them. I see no reason for the administrators to get rid of promising youngsters who would be on a wage that would be seen as sustainable for Rangers from now and the future, they need to if they want the club to continue on in the current format set proper foundations down and these players people have spoken about are the very ones that they will probably start these foundations with. Even if they try to keep some of the bigger players I still don't see players like Ness, Hutton and Perry being let go over players like McCulloch and the above. I personally would rather see ICT stay strict with their budgets and push on with the business model they have and not jepordise that for one or two players who we wouldn't ultimately have looked at should this situation not have come around as they would have been outwith our reach. At a time when people are talking about Rangers being extremely stupid and short sighted we would be doing the very same in essence if we broke our own boundaries because of someone elses misfortune and mismanagement.2 points

Very disappointed with Alex Salmond today courting the votes of the Unionists. He said that the most important thing here was the survival of Rangers football club. Wrong Alex! The most important thing is that the tax payer gets as much money possible out of the criminals who run that business.Whether or not Rangers' survival is good or bad for Scottish football is not the issue here. Those running the club, past and present have been deliberately withholding money from the taxpayer - money which could be used for a whole raft of essential public services which are being squeezed at the moment. Carer support for the elderly, books for school kids, repairing crumbling roads, investing in the NHS - you name a worthy use of public spending and Rangers football club is stopping it happening. It is extraordinary that there is a mindset in this country that almost accepts failure to pay tax as a bit of bad luck and those who fail to pay can negotiate with the authorities to agree to pay back whatever minimal amount of their debt they can get away with. They then start again buying into a debt free company owned by their mates who bought the assets at knockdown prices. They then find new ways in which to spend money they haven't got and steal more from the taxpayer. Every asset of the club should be sold and those responsible for the theft should have their personal assets including money hidden in other companies identified to pay back as much of the debt as possible. They should be allowed nowhere near a football club again.2 points

For the supreme Caley away day buy a carry out on Friday night, stick it in the fridge, get the 0650 train South, start drinking at 0651, find the roughest boozer in town that will beopen when you arrive circa 10am and enjoy the carnage.2 points

I was going to post this in ICT thread but don't want to talk too soon / tempt fate. IF Rangers are still in administration by 31st March (or any of the other scenarios) then the league table delivers: Champions - Champions League qualifier 3rd - Champions League qualifier 4th - Europa League qualifier 5th - Europa League qualifier 6th - If the cup final is won by any of the European qualified teams, and no non-qualified teams are playing in it, then Europa League qualifier! Just a thought!!!1 point

There were emotional scenes last night as hundreds of tearful fans held a candlelit vigil outside the home of Whitney Govan, the faded singer whose tragic demise was completed when she drowned in a bath of buckfast at the weekend. A brief announcement was made to Whitney’s mourners by Craig Shyte, the Chief Executive of her label Rangers Records, after which fans spontaneously burst into a chorus of her smash hit “I will always love to booooooo”. The singer’s rise to stadium filling stardom commenced in the 1980s, although she proudly traced her heritage as far back as 1690. After being mentored by the legendary entertainer Andy Cameron, her success seemed unstoppable, and she achieved a remarkable 9 number ones in a row. Whitney also picked up dozens of awards in her homeland, and even when the hits dried up, she continued to dominate at the MOPO awards (Music of Protestant Origin). Her huge and loyal fan base was drawn from all parts of society, from members of the royal family to sports journalists and football referees. Rangers Records are understood to be planning on cashing in on the wave of sympathy by re-releasing a compilation of the star’s greatest hits. 1. Didn’t we almost have it all? 2. I wanna dance with somebody (who has an unhealthy knowledge of Irish history) 3. Where do broken huns go? 4. How will I know (what to do with myself at weekends) Due to the unique sound and lyrics associated with Rangers Records, her particular brand of soul quickly became known as R-Soul. Live performances were renowned for the vocal backing of an enormous choir of R-Soul singers. At the height of her fame, in a move which wowed the world of showbiz, drama queen Whitney worked with one of Hollywood’s leading men, Kevin McCoistner and starred on the big screen. However, when the big screen stopped working, a riot broke out. McCoistner’s role in the movie was to protect the diva, with whom he became romantically involved, but on Saturday night there was nothing even he could do to save the star from herself. The fabulous wealth amassed by the glittering performer had been frittered away over the years on a succession of talentless session musicians, eventually leaving her unable to settle her tax bills. Craig Shyte had stepped in last year, promising to revive her career, but Whitney’s live performances deteriorated further and she ended up just another desperate crack whore controlled by a dubious pimp. Many distraught fans called yesterday for a commemorative statue to be placed in tribute at the site of the star’s home. But Rangers Records have indicated that the only lasting legacy they can afford is a bust. “Not just a little bust” a spokesman clarified, “a completely bust”.1 point

And who's going to pay for all this, dougal? It's not pretty, but to be frank, not enough people turn up to justify anything better.1 point
