  1. Some recent video outtakes and behind the scenes footage....

  2. As quite a few people have pointed out, the team just seemed to freeze collectively after going a goal behind. I suppose, having gone so long without conceding, that it's sort of understandable, and the St Johnstone game earlier in the season showed that this sort of game comes along once in a while. Aberdeen, like St Johnstone, are a team capable of really fluent attacking football when they click, and they were pretty ruthless in the rest of the first half - Pawlett, McGinn and Vernon all played very well, and we shouldn't overlook that. Hopefully our performance in the second half will reassure our players that they have no need to panic when they go behind as they are more than capable of getting back into it, and will prevent any other team being able to run up such a commanding lead against us in the future. It still wasn't the most consistent or elegant performance of the season, and there were one or two players who struggled slightly to impose themselves on the game (Williams and Doran), but the determination of the team to be first to every ball was really impressive. Raven made a big difference when he came on, and I actually thought Ross had a pretty good game and, like a few others on here, would have preferred to have seen him stay on when Agdestein was brought on. Finally, I tweeted about this last night, but I think it's worth mentioning on here too. I was in hospitality for the game yesterday - a belated birthday present from my brother, an Aberdeen supporter, who accompanied me. It was the first time I had been in hospitality for a game, and it was superb: the food was excellent, the service was warm, generous and efficient, and the hosts achieved the difficult trick of making a room of 300 people seem like an intimate and friendly gathering. The last time my brother had hospitality at a game was at Old Trafford, and he told me yesterday that ICT's was far superior, in the quality of food and the quality of service, as well as being much better value. We're thinking of making this an annual thing from now on. So thank you to the club for that.

  3. Well done to the ICT media team who have came top in Scotland, 24th UK wide, in a review of 148 football/Rugby/cricket club social media in UK. It is worked out on the clubs use of articles/messages posted on Twitter/Facebook, including use of video, images, audio, official apps and links. No suprise who is dwelling in the shadows of the league table. Ross Cownty, 148th of 148!!! http://www.sport.socialmediaindex.co.uk/

  4. Well done to all the guys I know you put in a power of work, virtually all of it voluntary. Well deserved. Was having a wee nosy OTB and they're not upset about this in the slightest! :D

  5. Thanks. I have to admit that I was quite surprised to see us rank so high, especially on the UK Index where we out performed clubs with whole teams of people who are employed solely to manage their social media and budgets that would dwarf our entire club turnover....before you take account of their other media & marketing personnel & budgets. Would also like to say that whilst I might be the man on the front line of the Social Media accounts, if it wasn't for Andy Johnstone & Don Johnstone* (videographers), Peter Paul (Photographer), Jack Davis & Davie Balfour (Previews/Reports/Interviews etc) and Iain Auld (Interviews) then we wouldn't be able to provide the content that fans enjoy, talk about & share. The challenge now is to maintain/improve our position. You can be sure everyone else will now be chasing us, so we have to continue to up our game!!!

  6. Me too. Wouldn't miss it, although I am not "flavour of the month" with nearest and dearest (ie niece and her family) for missing her Boxing Day lunch. Tough for them! ICT awaydays more important than a vegetarian lunch.

  8. I can't believe there's people who would keep Williams in, after his "performance" yesterday. He was horrendous!

  9. Some incredibly distasteful "songs", one in particular managed to offend pretty much every single person in the bar regardless of their allegiance. Put it this way, I'd love them to go to Glasgow and see how well it would go down there!

  10. If John Hughes was forced to change the team and tictacs then it appears that that was a blessing in disguise. He's a completely different type of person to T Butcher and eventually, anyway, he had to stamp his authority on the team and Caley Thistle's game. So now he has and, from all accounts, what a change? Even if the energy came from an arousing rally of encouraging speech isn't that why he was hired? This, actually, could be the turning point in the break from Butcher which I strongly feel was a good thing for this club and it allowed for the Management to introduce new thinking, new character in a new character and set the club up for greater success. Under Butcher, that swas an uncertain future occurrence because his heart never lay in the highlands but did lie in his own advancement first-off and he was bound to leave "any time soon" be it for Barnsley or the Bucharest Boogie-Woogie Bachles. Now the door has opened to let in the fresh air just watch this team go......

  11. Azgaz as a fan is a loser .. why oh why did we have to have him when there were other suitable and available fans. There is only one way he can now progress and that is downwards. His ability to support players once a slide in form begins does not exist. He is one of the most prolific bullshitters in Scottish football and his ability to analyse situations is very poor .. you only had to listen to him on CTO. Goodbye Azgaz, next season it will be a scrap against relegation for County.

    • Kelty Hearts Training Statement
What a farce we have become, a laughing stock: Did you hear the one about the footbal team from the Highlands of Scotland that want to train at Cowdenbeath? Unfortunately, unlike our board, this is not a joke. Our board are trying to rip our identity from the Highlands and replace it with shared training at Kelty Hearts. I kid you not, this is not a drill and the clowns that run our club appear to be delighted at this coup.

    • Relegation Statement
RELEGATION STATEMENT: This could have been said ten minutes after our defeat to Hamilton three days ago. So far, this is not the news that we on Caley Thistle Online wanted to hear. Pleased that we will still function as a club, disappointed that resignations have not been offered yet. Keeping fans waiting in silence for three days is unforgivable and relationships are drifting further apart than ever before. Silence is not the way forward, we deserve better as fans.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.
