  1. Peter Reid Fae Peterheid Volvo for sale! It's the Blue Toon Team who visit the Highlands on Saturday as newly promoted and League2 Champions Peterhead come to the Caledonian Stadium SarensPSG Stadium after both sides got off to a flyer last Saturday. Peterhead top the table after beating fellow promoted side East Fife 4-1 whilst we sit bottom of the table thanks to a five point deduction after beating Kelty Hearts 0-3. We have not met since a 2-0 League Cup win at the Caledonian Stadium in July 2021 with second half goals from Manny Duku and Aaron Doran. This was Billy Dodds' first competitive game in charge. Duku broke the deadlock with a drilled effort from just inside the box and Aaron Doran doubled the advantage with a stunning twenty-five yard shot into the top corner four minutes later. The hosts saw out the remainder of the game well in control with Peterhead rarely threatening. You can find out more about the three year deal for the Stadium Naming Rights with SarensPSG in the link below. Club Chairman Alan Savage said: “This is a fantastic and welcome piece of financial support for the Club from a company that recognises the benefit of ICTFC to all members of the Inverness community. “I cannot thank them enough. Let’s hope other businesses small and big follow their lead to put Inverness Caley Thistle on a solid financial foundation, so it can invest in a team that can climb up the leagues.” Never gets old 😂 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Match Info SarensPSG Stadium ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ See Above Link Exclusive Offer for Our Season Ticket Holders! Inverness got off to the perfect start with a clean sheet at Kelty and three goals. Billy Mckay got League1 off and running with the first goal of the season in the 4th minute. Luis Longstaff added a second before the break and Spoony the ball conjurer straight from the Edinburgh fringe festival juggled the ball into the net to complete the scoring on the hour. New signing Alfie Bavidge got the last twenty minutes as we broke him in gently. McIntyre was one of the stars of the show with an impressive wing back display which got him into the SPFL team of the week. Ross Millen (calf, won't be risked just now), Adam MacKinnon at least a couple of weeks away and Paul Allan (groin) missed out, although Allan will be assessed before the game, and new striker Chanka Zimba was nowhere to be seen, presumable waiting for registration to be completed. He did play in the midweek NoS Cup game. Jake Davidson got his boots on for the first time and that's a big step forward for Jake. (no pun intended) On Tuesday night, an Inverness CT XI beat Lossiemouth 6-0 in the 1st Round of the North of Scotland Cup. Billy & Spoony oversaw this one with Alfie Bavidge and Jordan Alonge netting twice and Robbie Thompson and Ben Gardiner getting the other two. Chanka Zimba also started and won the penalty that Alfie scored. The Caley Jags now face Strathspey Thistle in the next round, venue and time TBC but it should be on 20th August, probably in Grantown on Spey. Scott Kellacher was delighted with the win last week but is not going overboard. We still have a few niggles but Paul Allan has a chance of recovering. Looks like Calum MacLeod will continue at RB. Jason Brown has been identified as a big player for the Heid who have brought in wisely in the close season. We might see Bavidge, Zimba, Robertson and Alonge challenge for a start after positive displays at Lossie. However, crowd pleaser Liam Sole could be the man to unlock the visitors defence along with inform Luis Longstaff and the experienced Billy Mckay and David Wotherspoon. Here's Peterhead's team that started last week against East Fife. There were first half goals came from David Wilson, a Kieran Shanks penalty and Jason Brown after Lewis Latona had scored early for the Fifers. Peter Pawlett came off injured in the first half and Brown added his second to round off the scoring in the final minute of the ninety. Good win for a solid Peterhead side against the League2 runners-up. The stats will show it was a fairly even game but it was the Blue Tooners that got the shots on target with East Fife squandering more opportunities Notice that Jack Newton is their keeper. They also have Niall McGinn. Some decent players brought in. In: Niall McGinn, forward (Glentoran); Jack Newman, goalkeeper (Dundee United); Fraser Mackie, forward (Aberdeen); Adam Carnwath, midfielder (Dundee United, loan to permanent); Craig McGuffie, midfielder (Dumbarton). Out: Rory McAllister, forward (Formartine); Ben Armour, forward (Brechin); Scott Ross, defender (Formartine); Robert Ward, forward (Inverurie); Jordan Armstrong, defender (Bo'ness); Jamie Walker, defender (Caledonian Braves); Conner Duthie, midfielder (Dunbar United); Kieran Gibbons, midfielder (retired). Leaked footage of the last clash with the prisoners shows SarensPSG getting their gear in place and it was 'nae jobby too sma' and 'nae stand too high' as they ceremoniously lifted Peter Reid's olde Volvo over the Stadium roof and onto the pitch in a fitting tribute to him and all at low cost with the advert thrown in for free. Now that's VFM. Volvo for sale!
  2. Need to keep an eye on that David Wilson bloke....he could be trouble 😁🤣
  3. Good advice there Nothing too heavy, nothing too high - just pick him out, and cross to Mckay.
  4. Never thought I’d see the day when ICT were playing Peterhead in the league and it was bottom v top!

  10. For me it will always be the Caledonian Stadium, Caley Park the same as the Caley Hotel where I went dancing in my younger days good to get the sponsorship though.
  11. Could have kept it as Sarens PSG Caledonian Stadium...at least then there's continuity and maintained identity.
