CTO Player of the YearOscar MacIntyre Oscar has had a great season with us since signing from Hibs and has been a favourite with the fans. He has scored 1 goal for the club in our 3-3 draw with Partick Thistle in the KDM Trophy (which we won on penalties) and picked up 5 yellow cards, in 37 appearances for the club. Starting the season well he was then rotated with Mitchell Robertson, but was picking up votes in most games he played throughout the season. I must say, I really enjoyed yesterday as the atmosphere was electric. From the moment we walked in just after 1430hrs, the crowd beside us in the north stand were singing non stop and creating a very enjoyable atmosphere that even the stewards were enjoying!! That **** Martin Hughes was even orchestrating the crowd in the whole of the North Stand at one point so I really don't know what caused him to break the law in the way he did, I was even going to defend him until I saw on Twitter late last night what he did to young school aged kids!!! As has been said, we were excellent for most of the match and Accies terrible. The early goal certainly settled nerves imho and the party was in full swing when Billy scored the second 😀. I will certainly be back again but probably back in the main stand because it's easier to see the action from there lol, all the goals were scored up the far end typically 😂.

Just got home to sunny Berkshire after a wonderful couple of days back in Inverness. All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed the game and thought our first half performance in particular was outstanding. So much better than most of the performances watched on Alba in recent weeks. A pity about the unnecessary pitch invasion before the game ended which made me worry for a few minutes that the ref might abandon the game. As others have said Bar94 was really buzzing pre match and enjoyable to be part of. We then treated ourselves to the hospitality package which, one again, was excellent. Our 6 shared a table with 3 Aberdeen supporters whose hobby is going round as many grounds in Scotland sampling their hospitality offerings. One of these 3 won 2nd prize in a raffle which was taking place. It was a football signed by our whole championship winning side and the Aberdeen supporter very kindly gave it to me, as he realised it would mean more to a Caley supporter than it would to him. An extremely generous and much appreciated gesture. The ball is already taking pride of place amongst my personal Caley memorabilia. Only downer for us was that BA managed to lose the hand luggage of 2 of our group on the way back to London, having insisted at Inverness airport that it would have to be checked into the hold as there was limited space for hand luggage in the cabin on an absolutely full plane. After waiting more than an hour at the luggage carousel BA finally found out that the missing bags were still in Inverness, and that they would try and get them to us in the next few days. But even all that hassle will not spoil our memories of a wonderful, and fully deserved victory. Well done to all concerned. Onwards and deservedly, upwards!

A vlog from yesterdays game, lots of well kent faces...

I've had a bit of sympathy for Accies fans over the season with the mess the management has made of their club and the subsequent points deductions. We know what that's like. But a lot of the sympathy has disappeared having seen what a tiny number of supporters bothered to support their team in what was a must win match. The manager and team have done brilliantly to get in touching distance of survival and yet there were just small numbers of fans dotted about in the South Stand. Compare that with our fans selling out the away accommodation against East Fife and then the Home support yesterday. How the Hamilton players must have wished that they could have had the kind of support we have!

I suspect I am writing this when a few of you are nursing alcohol induced sore heads! What an incredible season, and how fitting that the last match of the season, mirrored the season has a whole, what looked from afar via my phone was Caley in control, then towards the end a last minute (perhaps 20minutes) period of jeopardy and uncertainty. A goal back from Accies (do we need to try and secure Oli Shaw's services?) and the unbelievable drama of a late penalty kick to them, an equaliser for them would still have kept promotion in sight, but would have seen a last minute nerve-shredding panic ridden finale. But Munro saved it! So a wonderful end to the season albeit with some unfortunate joshing on the pitch between supporters A 5000 strong crowd, imagine if we get to see that a few more times next season, shows that actually Inverness's population can be mobilised (or bothered?) occasionally, although I suspect a fair few from farther away helped. Fitting that Billy McKay scored the winner, his aging legs have been well managed this year and he seems to have added quite a bit on the coaching side. A legend Fitting also that Danny Devine also scored, someone who nailed his colours to Caley's mast for this season early after last season finish no doubt helping to encourage others to stay or join the fight for this season. Not always appreciated, but a legend. And incredible that he and especially Remi Savage (with 52 appearances) featured in so many games. Quite incredible, given how little back up we had in the CB area, and how often in the past we have suffered long injury absences. Scott Kellacher has navigated a season where expectation was high, helping to assemble a decent team, managing the workload, those terrible 3G pitches, and different opposition styles. Mostly getting it right, making the right calls as the season came to it's epic end. Two years of a managing CV that is worthy validation and if the next season goes well must surely edge him towards 'legendary' status. Well done to Stenny for pushing us all the way, some achievement, I hope they do well in the play-offs Well done to all the young lads who have given so much, learnt so much, earned reputations, especially the boys on loan, In an ideal world Bavidge and Stewart would appear for us next season, we can only hope Aberdeen ignore a season and a half of stellar performances and decide that a Scottish Premiership campaign isn't for them. Regardless of that, in MacIntyre, MacLeod, McKinnon, Savage (if he stays) Allan, Longstaff, Munro, Alone, Zimba (19 goals) and Alonge, there is a decent base. For young Wotherspoon, probably asking too much. So an exciting season awaiting for 26/27, definitely a trip to Greenock Morton for me (overnighting in Dunoon!) and maybe Queens Park, in their actual ground not Ochilview! Possibly Dunfermline again, and a trip up to Inverness with the wife (who is complaining she is missing out) A wonderful season, it is life affirming supporting Caley and roaming Scotland! My day yesterday was spent watching Palace Women get promotion to the Super League. Can Palace men pull off European glory? Fingers crossed for another miracle ☺️ 😭

Yes...that was hell for me down in South London!

In the end it was a fantastic achievement. I saw some of our grateful supporters thank Alan Savage post presentation. Without him and the culture he has generated in the rebuild this would not have happened. To Scott and Billy, to all the coaches, to Charlie, to the players, stadium staff and especially the away supporters, this recovery from severe adversity is much to be cherished. In terms of being magnanimous I have to say Stenhousemuir have been tremendous competitors this season. I wish them well in the playoffs. I also have sympathy and admiration with the way Hamilton's players and staff have coped with the mismanagement of their club. We once had that experience too. To those over the Bridge who only expected one year in the Championship, I am not the Brahan Seer, but well done for such foresight. ICT FC now rule the Highlands again.

After a 2nd successive relegation, there are likely to be a large number of the County squad either being shown the door or eagerly escaping through it. Some of those may be keen to stay in the Highlands and join a bigger club. County's failure is probably more to do with poor management and coaching than the quality of their squad, so there may well be some who would be a real asset at a club which has better coaching staff and a great sense of togetherness.
