  1. I missed the highlights but i can understand if it was all Celtic. We did over run Celtic in the first half for about 25 minutes but we didn't have that many great chances either. Even when we were dominating play it still looked like Celtic may take us on the break as their early chances were still more clear cut than ours.

  2. Exiled Blade here, moved up with work but have become an honorary Caley fan. from what i saw on saturday it looked like a lack of fitness from caley players, the ball was moved around really quickly by celtic and caley couldnt keep up. i think your goalie looked really good but his defence seemed to open up time and time again, just look at the amount of chances that were created and saved, hit woodwork or were off target. its a shame because caley looked really fired up early on and maybe had they taken an early chance it could have been very differnt. hays looked quick despite looking overweight, and maybe if he trims a little he'll be able to keep it up over 90 mins.

  5. I thought it showed the game in it's true light. We were overrun in the second half and could not muster a decent attempt on goal. Celtic on the other hand swamped us. We were the better team for twenty minutes or so, then reverted to type. Small team fans mentality going on here. If we had the chances that Celtic had I am sure they would have been on the highlights.

  6. Would I be right in saying that Tuffey is the first player while at ICT to be called up to one of the British National Teams?

  7. Ach, grab a bite to eat before the game. Never bothered with getting food at a game. Baffles me how some folk appear to "need" a pie and can't go without for shy of two hours!

  8. My post wasn't hypocritical as I don't think it is right to invade the pitch at anytime during play, The seat I saw was being brandished out of a van on stadium road after the game. I did not want to turn this post into an anti-celtic thread, but about the behavior of away fans, a girl of about 8yo had a bottle of water taken from her yesterday, yet a flare was taken into the game and a seat taken out. Let me make it clear that football attracts all sections of the community, but a section of Celtic fans go out of their way to be as controversal as possible, and this would seem to go back many years. Chants in support of, the IRA, Argentina during the Falklands conflict, and astonishingly Nazi Germany during the war (seemingly Parkhead was closed for a time for this). Not forgetting being unable to stay silent for 1 minute every November. But yet they are still considered to be a great support.

  9. ever get a situation where you are doing so many things you seem to meet yourself coming back in the other direction ??? Well that's CaleyD right now. He is still around, we haven't had a fallout, he hasn't been banned nor submerged several miles down in the Gulf of Mexico .... he is simply taking a back seat until all the things he is busy with subside. Please remember this thread in a few weeks/months when you start bitching and moaning that he is back and issuing warnings or bans again :_shocked2:

  10. I thought our defence worked hard and played well on Saturday. With the way Celtic approached the second half they did well to keep the defecit to one goal. Makes me full of confidence for this season - I predict a 4th or 5th place finish.

  11. No, it means none of the above started last Saturday.

    • Inverness CT 2-3 (3-5) Hamilton - Play off final (relegation)
RELEGATED: Despite Inverness needing to get off the mark quickly, it was Accies that killed the tie inside the first fifteen minutes with strikes from Kevin O'Hara and Lewis Smith. Cammy Kerr reduced the leeway with a good strike from distance, but O'Hara struck again with a penalty before the break to diffuse the revival. We struggled to create anything of note and this reporter could not stomach any more and left the stadium. I'm told Alex Samuel pulled a goal back in stoppage time, but like the rest of the season it was too little too late.

    • Hamilton 2-1 Inverness CT - Play off final 1st Leg
A better showing from Inverness in the second half, especially with Lawal and Pepple on the park but it's Hamilton that take a one goal advantage up the A9 on Saturday. Lawal has been the standout performer in our last few games and surely he must start on Saturday. Pepple also did well, scored the goal, had an effort saved and got in a few balls across the box from tight positions.

Still, a shocker of a first half and we must be up for it from the start on Saturday.

    • Inverness CT (1-2) Hamilton - Play off Final 2nd Leg - Preview
The hurt, the pain, the reluctance and pig-headedness to listen to the fans asking what is going on, the lack of communication, the lack of ambition, the stench of mismanagement, the concert company, the battery farm, the demise since winning the Scottish Cup in 2015, the lack of passion, the lack of commitment, the dwindling fanbase, the lack of leadership. It has left the fans comfortably numb

    • Hamilton -V- Inverness CT - Play off Final 1st Leg - Preview
However all is not well and we just kept our heads above water thanks to Arbroath being rubbish. Onto the play offs and an insipid performance at Links Park left us all wondering if our time has come to drop into oblivion. Our performance certainly would not look out of place in the lower leagues. We clung on for a 0-0 draw away from home and scraped a 1-0 win at Inverness with Billy Mckay saving our blushes. Everything about the club has negative undertones at the moment.

    • Inverness CT 1-0 Montrose Play-Off Second Leg (0-0)
Little Consolation: Inverness will face Hamilton Accies in the Play-Off final after nervously scraping past part-time Montrose who were eventually reduced to ten men when Blair Lyons was sent off after an off the ball incident in the 84th minute involving Morgan Boyes. Inverness had dominated throughout, but failed to capitalise on their possession, and as per the entire season failed to create much of note. The first half was livlier than the first leg, but the same problems showed up our lack of quality. We started with no wingers and Billy Mckay as usual in a withdrawn role. It's not worked all season, so why should it suddenly work now. A woeful first half ended goalless and it was on the hour and out of the blue when Billy Mckay prodded in from three yards to score the only goal of the game following a corner
