  1. 1) No 'sting in his shot' aged 29. Entering the realms of fantasy now :thumb04: :018: ;) What? Just quoting what you said Chris! Sounds a bit daft to me....... Yes I did Fair enuff. Respect :015:
  2. Is this a serious thread? OK, QOS used to be the 'Doonhammers' because some striking carpenters had too much time and decided to start a football club, and over the years the correct spelling was lost. Or maybe it's because Dumfries is called 'doon hame' by exiles. Back in the 1950s two clubs dominated world football: Cowdenbeath and Brazil FC. People had a problem distinguishing between the two, whose styles were almost identical. However, as fate would have it, one played in yellow and the other in blue. Or maybe about 15 years ago when Cowdenbeath were running away with the old second division, some lads had a pint or two too many in the Goth and got carried away with describing the team's efforts.
  3. Surely the words 'at least one' are key?
  4. Great thread guys, even if it shows some people have too much time

Oh well, water under the bridge now Stevico (or maybe 'over the bridge') :thumb04:
  6. Not statistically significant
  7. I bet the ball boys dreaded it too
  8. 1) He was signed from Aberdeen as a midfielder. Credit to Denzil then that he managed to become ICT's all-time top scorer. 2) You never went on Saturday did you? 1) No 'sting in his shot' aged 29. Entering the realms of fantasy now ;) :thumb04: :018: 2) I only ever played amateur, but even there I could tell that fitba is 75% motivation. 3) You never went either, did you? Unlike some, I never thought Denzil was a world-beater, but he's well capable of playing in the bottom half of the SPL.
  9. It was kinda gut-wrenching watching Denzil in action on Saturday. We haven't had much chance to see him play in the last couple of years, yet there he was, just like in the old days under Pele, which he describes as probably the happiest in his career. Linking up, doing all the trademark shuffles and suchlike. Sticks in the craw to see him doing that in somebody else's colours. Ach feckit, I'm away for another drink......
  10. Aye, respect. R.I.P.

Pace but feck all composure if I remember That was measured against Bobby Mann too :thumb04:

:thumb04: :018: ;) Another County reject to join Barrowman
  13. Wyness not good enough? He looked good enough on Saturday when we were being ripped to pieces. Maybe he's got a boss who values him.

Quite a busy week for me so far. I would expect to get an email off tonight or tomorrow night.
  15. The highlights don't show what a bright start we made. They do show a certain Mr Wyness helping to rip apart his old club.......
  16. Well I see Elgin are oot anyway. 2-1 to the Sons of Spart.

I don't see anybody laughing. Care to expand? By your lack of a reply to my question on the 'genius' thread, I take it you missed that gutless performance on Saturday. I've seen ICT play regularly since the East Stirling game back in 1994. Till now there's only been one direction - upward. Brewster and his assistant will take us back to div 1 and oblivion, just like our near neighbours. By all means disagree, but stop the patronising drivel and back up your arguments with a bit of substance. For all your complaints about people ganging up on Brewster I think there are more like me who have found this season so depressing they can hardly be bothered so are actually letting him off lightly. Now where's those avatars? I'm getting one. The Mantis (PRO-ICT).
  18. Wot no Duncan? Worth mentioning McGuire had a good saving tackle on Denzil in the first half at 0-0.
  19. The forum is remarkably quiet tonight. The manager and the muppet assistant are lucky it was an away game with just a couple of hundred there.
  20. Well I'll be up next week for the first home game in a while, just for the crack and the laughs, and to celebrate getting the holidays the day before, so let's stuff the Dons. I'm no letting the manager and his muppet assistant spoil my weekend though.
  21. Were you at the game today caller?
  22. There were hardly enough there to get a decent chant going. Everybody was so cold and scunnered by the end they just filed away. Played well for 15 mins then lost a goal on the break when McGuire was exposed trying to match Dornan for pace. Apart from lacking a bit of fitness, McGuire wasn't bad. I thought Duncan was our best player. Rooney was completely anonymous. Barrowman tried a bit more than usual but that's not saying much. I thought Blackie was quiet today and picked the wrong pass a lot. Proctor reasonable at LB but a total lack of belief in the whole team once we went a goal down. I thought the midfield was invisible in the second half but mind you they hardly got any ball, what with the back four just punting it back to the Midden every time they broke up an attack. Total mince, even worse than the Midden pies. Should have stayed in the Alamo. Denzil watch - well marshalled in the first half by McGuire and Proctor. Second half he got room to show the skills he's undoubtedly got and he was playing deep and picking us off. Taking the pish basically. Ah well thanks for the tickets at least Denzil. Dargo got on but had little time to inflict any damage. That's another dire Saturday over then. We're going down. Brew has to do us a favour and go now or our dear wee club is set to do a County.
  23. I thought this was a new thread ;) :thumb04: :018: I recognised the Boddies being off in the Hunting Lodge and the Killie pies being lukewarm from a fortnight ago........
  24. I'm washing mine tonight so I can make it tomorrow. Mr Naelifts will also be in attendance.
