  1. If there's anybody in the SPL I'd like us to beat every time it's probably that lot. But it's a bit arrogant to expect it, n'est-ce pas? I had a look on Killie Kickback at the weekend and two separate posters said Killie should be beating us every time. So it works both ways eh?
  2. It's only partly spot on though. Many home games this season there hasn't even been any pressure to soak up. We've just not performed. Today I had the pleasure of seeing ICT go to a top six club and totally dominate the first half and a good bit of the second half. Then in the last 20 minutes when Killie hit us with everything ICT gave it all, blood and guts. That's all I'm asking.
  3. Just back too. That's 2 good performances in the space of 4 games. I missed the two home ones but saw the two away wins. If they could perform like that most weeks nobody would be moaning. What a great game of football, almost worth having to pay Naelifts in. Kept it on the deck too. I've given Woody and Imrie a fair bit of stick this season so only fair to give them some credit this week, with Imrie a contender for MoM. Bambi did a good job too helped by the fact that Killie weren't employing the Luftwaffe like some teams this season. Fair play to Killie, ?20 for the main stand. For the Hibs result I would have said that the players did it despite Brewster, after getting hammered at Ibrox, but today I just wouldn't know where to start. Certainly buys him a bit more time.
  4. I'm sure I saw that Delap boy playing for Carlisle a while back.

    You've already seen the best bit :thumb04: :018: ;) :015:
  6. Duff, Vigurs and Wood were all at the club in CC's time. I remember them featuring in the pre-season at Keith and Inverurie. That doesn't mean they weren't there in Brew's first spell.
  7. Yip! I agree with all that and I rather hoped I was implying it I saw it first hand at Arbroath where you could hear every word as he encouraged the youngsters. Nowhere am I saying Barry should be dropped and I certainly think he should hang on and outlive Brewster's stay at the club.
  8. I think I'll be there with Mr Naelifts. Probably the aforementioned boozer.
  9. I agree with Kingsmills! Further, we have to play Hamilton and the Midden 3 times each. Hamilton may be limited as was pointed out on another thread, but nobody's gone to their place yet and given them a doing. Limited players can still get fired up when it matters. Brew v Billy Reid in a one-off game to decide who takes the drop? I know who I'd back. Edit: Feck me, they're beating the tims. Mind you only 15 mins gone. Final score about 1-4 I would imagine...... Edit: 1-1, Nakamura pen and the Accies down to 10 men before half time. Oh well, make that 1-6 then.....
  10. A lot of fanciful thinking if you ask me. Hasn't Barry himself admitted that it's a struggle to last the pace? Even if you'd only played amateur football you would know how hard it is playing with a load of young lads who can run all day. I would carry on with Baz as a sub, but give him a bit longer than the 10 mins he usually gets. At a push I would start him with the promise that he can come off after an hour.
  11. When our players get their tails up they've shown how they can spray the passes around and make chances. So it's a bit disappointing if the management team show their lack of faith in the players by playing 4-5-1 at home because they reckon we're inferior to the opposition.
  12. Some ugly feckers there rite enuff. Lucky you missed Murray and Urquhart though.
  13. I was only in hospitality once, years ago in div 1. Have we got a Vetle Anderson suite yet?
  14. Same as Yngwie said, we always celebrated if he was on the teamsheet.
  15. I don't mind Gus. Why's he a scumbag apart from the club he manages :thumb04: :018: Don't mind Yogi either. McGhee I rate very highly but he's out of our league unlike the two above.
  16. Ha! That's Jabba I believe. Put his money where his mouth was :thumb04:
  17. I've finally got around to fixing a load of broken links on the Caley Nostalgia Page. Also a lot of the movies are bigger now. They were first uploaded in the days when everybody had dial-up. The pages affected are 'Scottish Cup', 'More Cup' and 'Caley's Final Season'. Let me know if you find any links not working.
  18. Yeah good boisterous support but I thought the numbers were well down.
  19. Probably Jimmy Calder! Or Esson himself at Gayfield....
  20. I suppose you can count me in as a long term griper then, even if I never had a gripe last week. Firstly I missed the game so it would be unfair to complain, and secondly I was too depressed to bother, as it's all been said before. I hope I've given a bit of credit earlier on tonight. Today - well, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Even though we have a somewhat limited squad of players (and I don't mean size of pool) I would take that kind of fight (and passing the ball) every week even if we didn't win. For you Ralph to expect people like me to turn around and say everything is now rosy is complete bollocks. The last time I saw the team fired up and playing like that was on August 9th. I don't think winning at Falkirk was in the same class, and I missed the Killie game. So far that's two high points in my season. Brewster's had well over a year, second time around, so you'll forgive me if I look for a bit more consistency.
  21. Good point about Esson and the fast breaks.
  22. Spot on. I went along hoping that would happen today. However if Hibs had scored first I was ready to suffer another drubbing. Have to report we played the ball on the deck :thumb04: Also at 2-0 up you do see the confidence spread right through the side. With 5 mins to go we were showboating up near the corner of the pitch and there was nothing Hibs could do about it. I'll swear even Garry Wood's touch improved after we went 2 up
  23. Great second goal. Chris, Imrie fed Cowie and he squared it to Black.
  24. Likewise. Just back from the game and delighted not to spend Monday avoiding Hibbys. Credit to everybody today, a bit like the Aberdeen match. The team and the manager had a lot to prove and it's a shame there wasn't a bigger support there to see it. Like Scotty, I'd say well done but one swallow etc. The Aberdeen game was 3 months ago and we've waited a long time for a performance like that.
  25. My initial response was 'Mark who?' as well. AFAIK he signed for the tims on ?6k a week for 3 years. Up to him really if he wants to put his career on hold for 3 years while piling up the dosh so he never needs to work again.
