  1. Thank you that man
  2. No, the Dude is a slim guy with shoulder-length hair.
  3. Shane was def. hugging the right touchline in the Jonny Hayes role, which was bizarre for a player who's probably a decent target man and strong in the air. Kept cutting inside onto his left foot and getting dispossessed by his man. I would say skill on the ball is pretty near top of the list for a midfielder, no? Felt a bit sorry for him, but still baffled as to why he was never hooked. Duncan was hooked, not sure why, tiredness from not playing or because he was on a yellow? Can't complain about the stewards, they let us stand all day. The beardy one must have been glad to see the back of the Dude who was pulling his chain all day. Same goes for the heid barman in the Social Club Disagree with Maryhill up to a point. A few of us felt we quite enjoyed the game - mind you that was back in the car with the heater going.
  4. Either I've been whooshed by you rene or that was a bizarre post. How would the heating be on? Anyway it's illegal to leave a car with the engine running.
  5. What Alex said. We were planning a weekend down there around Sept/Oct time. The only freestanding ones were Wolves in November and West ham which is a Tues night in Feb. The rest were in blocks of 3.
  6. Have a green dot sir.
  7. Can we get in the club OK then? I was only in once at a Gretna game. Far better than Jack Daniel's.
  8. I don't think there's much in it myself between Rooney & Nish. Playing for Hibs and their demanding fans has ripped the confidence out of Nish. He always did well against us, whether it was Clyde, Killie, or early at Hibs. On the other hand Butch is getting the very best out of Rooney and he might not develop further. Under a different boss he may even go backwards. Good luck to the big man anyway, you couldn't meet a nicer guy. Wee Kev's OK going forward but he's a pretty hesitant/uncommitted defender IMO. I don't know how often he actually played for Hibs to give people an opinion. Maybe Rankin's another guy like Rooney who did well here. ICT have a habit of getting the right people running the club, the right spirit at the club, and great commitment from pretty average players. That goes a long long way and is how we keep up with far larger clubs like Hibs and Aberdeen.
  9. Poor move for all parties if you ask me. A bit like Pele going to the Dons.
  10. There was a spell at New Year when Denzil and Dargo were really gelling. We stuffed Hibs, St Mirren and Stirling. Then they both got injured. Denzil never raised a peep after that. Except one day he helped the Midden tear us to bits at Love St. Wonderful, wonderful footballer under Pele though.
  11. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Good luck Denzil and I hope you got the rabies shots.
  12. I'm resisting the temptation to suggest that Lennon should get the bullet. Have a green dot anyway
  13. Yeah DM played on loan in div 1. Tug, I'm not sure what you're saying. 34 games is ever present? For the record, Golly was sound as a pound.
  14. So you were leaving him to find 'equivelant' for himself And 'anothers' , obviously. Some people were mentioning Foxy on another thread. The last time the cup was this wide open, Hearts beat Gretna in the final. Foxy had a one-on-one with the Partick keeper for 3-1 with 2 mins to go. He shuts his eyes and blooters it straight at the keeper. Partick go straight up the park and equalise from a penalty. We go out in the replay.
  15. I think Adam will be the next Wyness. This club has been good for him but we had to put a lot of time into developing him to get some rewards. Obviously I wish him well but I fear he'll be back to square one when he leaves. On top of that, although there's a lot to his game, I don't think he's a natural finisher.
  16. He's got previous.......... He neglects the man he's marking.
  17. And I thought the C(o)unty fans were bad.

Must admit I've never been patronised by a font. I was once humiliated by a semi-colon though. Sarcastic little barstewards they can be
  19. Rather bizarre but also quite appropriate.....

    Font Nazis! I love it
  21. Just a couple of weeks ago there was a rescue in Glen Coe and the reporter felt obliged to state that the climbers were on the 'notorious Curved Ridge' which is absolutely gratuitous piece of sensationalism, as it's not notorious for anything. Also a relation of mine was a victim of a hit and run recently and reading the papers you wouldn't think it was the same story. The same goes for some of the teachers' pay/conditions disputes I was involved in.
  22. A kayaking friend of mine swears by it. But she says you only get about 10 years out of it. My kayaking days are pretty much over but I've been in some not-very-serious whitewater and a contact lens has been flushed right out my eye. Not for me though
  23. You might have a bit more luck with the National Library of Scotland. I don't know anything about their online resources but 20 years ago I used to go in there a lot and request some pretty obscure things.
  24. And whose account of what happened is pretty similar to bauhaus' story. He's probably seeing this thread and tactfully avoiding getting involved.
