  1. Maybe he was ‘doing a Gardyne’. He’s got previous
  2. I thought you had been reading another football forum, or were speaking from personal experience...
  3. We had a family holiday in NY in Aug 2000 and went up the south tower so just over a year later it was wiped off the map. Got told the news at work by our technician who popped his head round the door. It was all quite shocking but to be honest I hoped it wouldn't interfere with the ICT game at Cliftonhill. The Dunblane tragedy broke to us at lunchtime. I worked in a school so we were all stunned.
  4. Should this not be in 'Rumour Mill'
  5. It's the Full Monty calendar you want then.
  6. Hardly ever dig out my Beatles records these days, but having seen part 1 of Peter Jackson's film I thought it was tremendous. Being in the room with the Fab Four really gives you the feel of how the lads worked and the dynamic between them. "Get Back" (the song) seems to take shape before your eyes. Amazed to see how close John and Paul were, as the received wisdom is that they just bickered non stop. Need to get on with part 2 now, George has just left the band... p.s. It's on Disney+. Fortunately I've got a granddaughter which means I can borrow her login and cast it to the telly

  7. Hope that's not Roddy signing his own page for December 2022 then... tempting fate. Anybody got last year's just for a bit of banter?
  8. Sad news. Colin was always a bit cautious with strangers but the key to the door was when he found out you were interested in whisky. Rest well my friend.
  9. I thought 78. 80 if you round it to 1s.f.
  10. Cheers, had to look that one up... wouldn't fancy that drive in the dark with a car never mind a tanker.
  11. Just remembered. Carrbridge photo, very nice weather driving up. Lewis weather was horrible for 4 days and had to come home early as my mother took ill and passed away.
  12. Nice hotel, stayed there a few years ago with Mrs Mantis for New Year. Just checked and it was Jan 2013
  13. I would take some of those figures with a pinch of salt Jack. I was at that Whitehill game and it was far more than 1173. In fact the stadium was busier that day than 2 weeks later against Forfar, which was reported as 1521. Whitehill were one of the top non-league clubs back then, we were just getting established in div 2, and the Scottish was still a big draw for our fans. Without defaming anybody in charge (maybe they're a' deid now anyway) it has to be said fiddling opponents out of cup gate money is widespread and our club is as guilty as any other.
  14. Is it up Duirinish/Dunvegan direction?
  15. Maid of Glencoul setting off for Ardgour in the evening rush hour. No idea why a Tamdhu tanker was going.
  16. Never usually slag off refs, but Colin Steven is utterly useless and has been since his non-league days.
  17. Doddsy outthought by Gus there. Can’t even make the trip to Raintown next week
  18. Well done @IBM. I’ve spent the weekend in Glen Coe/Lochaber so pics of the Maid of Glencoul incoming…
  19. What a performance. Pwoud, vewwy pwoud.
  20. Yes I've got this one Careful or Scotty will be twisting your arm to be a mod
  21. I think I got Rod Clyne's book in Melvens (could have been Thin's by that time). Think it was 3 quid.
  22. That was Rod Clyne Shirley? But I can see by that Freudian slip there’s a Caley fan hiding in your subconscious There’s a secondhand paperback of Alex’s book on Amazon atm. Yours for £65
  23. It wasn’t quite like that… I just quoted the kind of thing that came up. Yes I get all that, I’ve used cnet in the past. After the Raith support guy wasn’t forthcoming with any more help it was about 45 minutes to kickoff and I wasn’t going to commit to something that I might use once, without researching it a bit more. £14 to watch a game on a tablet is bad enough. So I got the Hearts game on the radio while watching the Lewis rain battering off the window. Sounds like I didn’t miss all that much.
  24. I just replied to your earlier post but never read on. Had a quick look at ‘top 5 vpn’ or whatever and they were all needing me to fork out money for something I would hardly ever need. Also the Raith guy Neil was supposed to be helping me out but that hasn’t amounted to anything.
