  1. And Presslie at the back said everyone attack and it turned into a Caley Blitz.
  2. It’s a decent wee ground with a social club and good catering. Much better experience than Cove but still a plastic pitch. Looking forward to it. Good news/ bad news is you might get a visit in a league game sometime.
  3. I was surprised that Oakley got goals in the Prem when he moved to Accies, as he was a really poor finisher for us in the Championship. The one highlight for me was the time he got 2 in a 3-0 win at East End Park.
  4. Wish I’d known about this. Went to a PSF which was actually a stone’s throw from where @Yngwie lives but at least the TWS pod made the drive a bit shorter.
  5. Was there in April but not sure if it’s been posted before.
  6. Great stuff. It was the descent in the first shot that made my knees rubbery after about a 3 hour trek in...
  7. Looks like Shenavall bothy. Is this your own pic? In which case well done on getting there. I was there in April 1988 and I regret that I'll never make it back now. My knees were like jelly carrying about 40lbs in. Here's 3 of us after a 12 1/2 hour day out on 4 Munros. Jim in the middle is 85 this year and Ian on the right died from cancer about 20 years ago.
  8. The house is still there anyway... https://goo.gl/maps/dbrmx5ykS3QXGhZXA
  9. Have to agree it's a belter but I hope it proves as lucky as the pink one...
  10. Not strictly a ferry but not quite a cruise liner either. MV Spitzbergen of Hurtigruten, in Stornoway this year. The missus and i had a 12 day cruise on MV Kong Harald for our Ruby wedding in 2019. Bergen -Kirkenes - Bergen. The boat only took about 300 and was about the size of this one, i.e. roughly the length of the Loch Seaforth Calmac boat. They have about 11 ships which sail up the Norwegian coast so every port gets a visit every day at the same time. They deliver mail and goods and take on food etc. It was terrific. Northern Lights Classic
  11. Firhill cottage. It's the brown bit above the mailbox, behind the branch.
  12. It’s just a few lines about how valuable art is iirc. A bit more than half an hour south from Sneckie if you stick to the speed limits…
  13. I've covered up the name of the cottage although it's hard to read anyway.
  14. November 26 and January 21 will be Cup fixtures like the corresponding dates last season. Not sure why Dec 10 is a blank. The SFA are quite predictable with the cup dates - any changes tend to be in the prelim rounds in the summer. The World Cup will be on in December but no Scotland fixtures. We played that week last season (the 6-1 thrashing of Morton after they had put a premature end to our annual cup run).
  15. What a strange fellow...
  16. I was on Pie & Bovril and a poster there had snapped the new MV Loch Frisa and was complaining about how it was just a bathtub toy. It was the UTNE and was bought from Norway for £5.6M secondhand. Some others piled on, appearing to think it was the main boat to Craignure from Oban rather than working in tandem with the MV Isle of Mull to provide an hourly service. I replied saying it was probably just to replace the MV Coruisk, similar size, which itself was nearly 20 years old and cost £6.75M new, and which could be moved on to one of the quieter routes. I checked Calmac's website and it was as if I'd written this fine piece of propaganda for them However it turns out that the Loch Frisa is only 49M long as opposed to 65M so not so good news. Somebody posted the photo below and I suggested that the picture didn't solve any arguments, on a Father Dougal basis...
  17. Is it not the case that sovereignty in Scotland is with the people so we are not subjects? Although in practice we are ‘subjected’ to all this nonsense anyway…
  18. That reminded me of the Cavalier I had, WKS 164V, bought at 2 years old from an old fella in the Borders, £2200 and he would only take cash. I had it about 10 years. Great car, and I did loads of jobs on it. Replaced the wings and patched up the inner wings with fibreglass. Decided to leave the headlamps off for a day till it was well hardened. Drove to work and was stopped at lights when I saw a polis car turning the corner, so I edged up close to the car in front. Saw them pass me then in my mirror I saw them stamp on the brakes One annoying thing about these traffic cops is, they would just swarm around your car as if you weren't there, rude bar stewards. Anyway, got off with one of those bits of paper that you had to present to a garage within 7 days.
  19. Thought you'd probably like this one.
  20. I see he's been in all these mile high cowboy places like Denver this week so it'll be a handy thing to have in his pocket.
  21. And in 2004 we won the League and the Challenge Cup and took the Pars to a replay in the Semi of the Scottish.
  22. Boy from Bonnyrigg committee seems to know their game v Hibs is at home if that helps. Obvs Kelty is a novelty for us but Livi... ...Albion Rovers would have been better.
  23. PM’d you
  24. Yip, my pic has the Ptarmigan ridge in it. Robert's further up the road and it's Ben Lawers.
