Betfred Cup Draw
Not been at Cowdenbeath since April 1997 when we lost our long unbeaten record.
-
Irony....
But we returned the favour by giving them an easy passage through to the semi-final of the wee cup.

You're right about the hindsight. At the time we were all applauding the chairman for having the cojones to stand up to Thompson. We would have been calling him weak if he hadn't.

Not a great comparison. 1) This is 'but a few'? 2) Many transfers from County happened when they were in a lower division, not direct opposition. 3) What about those going the other way? Granted they were mostly at the end of their careers, but I can think of Tokely, Munro, Hastings, McCulloch, Duncan, Golabek 'to name but a few'. 4) Look at the timescale. How many players have been poached/approached on McInnes' watch? 5) I didn't have to edit it

New telly deal
Sure, as long as you remember that, at present, the cost of producing Sportscene for a season is approximately the same as producing one edition of MOTD. In fact Gary Lineker gets the same in a year as Sportscene apparently.

New telly deal
Even if my dentist worked without anaesthetic, he'd still get more of my time than the daily mail.
- So who are the two prospective new signings?

Almost the 'full set'!
I'm just your average Scottish football fan Scarlet. It's quite a small world.

Almost the 'full set'!
If you search 'east fife fc' the first result, on google at least, has an aerial photo plus a map. It's the usual sterile new build and it seems the fans don't like it much but they've been there almost as long as we've been at TCS so you'd think they'd get over it. Bayview was really starting to crumble. Some of the terracing was pretty unsafe. I think the glass directors box was a vanity project while the team and ground was neglected. The former chairman, Julian Danskine, is a convicted pervert. I've got some old shots of my own so sometime soon I'll do a blog post about the club. The manager, Gary Naysmith, is a former pupil of mine.

Almost the 'full set'!
This is kind of related... i was speaking to Red Card in the pub yesterday about our travels watching ICT so I did a bit of checking. I've been at all the 41 league grounds but to my knowledge ICT have never played at Dumbarton or Annan. I've also never seen them play at Elgin or Berwick or Peterhead. I've never seen them win at Cowdenbeath, Stranraer, East Fife (New Bayview) or QoS. That takes it down to 32 where I've seen us win. I've seen ICT win at old Bayview though, and Gretna, and Love Street, and Firs Park which used to be ground 42. Also seen them play at Boghead but lose. As an aside, the Shire, the club which provided ICT's first competitive game on 9/8/94 may be about to disappear from the League setup if Edinburgh City beat them next week.

Partick Th -V- Inverness CT
We did what teams normally do to us and pressed them in their own half. Meanwhile thistle played like us and passed it sideways.

It's the Doon Derby on Monday:lol:

Partick Th -V- Inverness CT
How easy was that? Thistle fans on P&B moaning about Scully. The guy had about 6 point blank saves. Could have been double figures today. Yet we're stuck in the bottom six because of all the shyte performances.

Scottish Cup 2016 - our defence of the trophy!
Can't beat the old autocorrect eh Alex! ICT played there once just before our promotion to the old div 1. We lost 3-2 iirc.

It's already been done in this book http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006PVZ3LE/ref=dp-kindle-redirect?_encoding=UTF8&btkr=1 previously called "Why England Fail" this expanded book is now called "Soccernomics" and if Sneckboy doesn't already have it I'll be mighty surprised

Ex ICT Players Score
I think Ed City are stronger. I also thought Brora were superb second half whatever Brittain said to them at half time. I have to say Brora were very lucky in the playoffs last year. It took a late Martin MacLean equaliser at Meadowbank and City should really have been out of sight. Too hard to call but I think whoever wins will beat the Shire.

Ex ICT Players Score
I went along to this, one of the best games I've seen all season. Lucky to meet ymip and young ymip and cadge a lift into Furryboots, otherwise I would have missed the last 10 mins and Brora's 3rd goal. Also playing were Gavin Morrison, Andrew Greig and loads of other ex ICT that I've forgotten. Nobody happy at full time except Cove.
