  1. Just off the top of my head, but I think 2010 was the only time County ever reached the last 8 of the big cup. So the other times they went further than us, we must have gone out at the first hurdle, e.g. 94-5 v QoS in round 1. Mind you we've got a tough one this time and they've virtually got a bye into the quarters. I've got a feeling about the Motherwell game - a bit like the trip to St Mirren in 2004 when we overfilled our section of the stand and stole the game courtesy of Darran Thompson.
  2. Ach, who cares. After a season like last year, going to Hampden twice and winning twice, finishing 3rd in the league and a never to be forgotten trip to Bucharest as a bonus, this year was always going to be an anticlimax. Let uncle Roy's plaything have a bit of the limelight for a change. They'll need their shades on though after so long in the shadows p.s. Will McIntyre be the first C(o)unty manager to move on to bigger things rather than get the boot?
  3. Hope they both lose Nah, seriously, good luck to the wee team against either of the cheeks.
  4. On there, 94/226 but that only makes my tally174 for the whole world. I make it 199 since I've been at others they don't list. But I know guys who are MUCH sadder than that.... I've been on the planet a fair number of years so I think mine is quite reasonable as it includes Muirton Park, Shawfield etc.

I was at Peterhead this season. The pies are from Coutts the butcher and are absolutely fantastic, looking a wee bit different from the normal Scotch pie. A wee club, fabby pies.
  7. Just seen the highlights and looks like there were only a few hundred, including the reported 94 away fans.
  8. We won the tie though. We're in the next round. So many times we were the plucky underdog against a higher ranked team and took all the credit. Let the Binos have their wee bit of glory but we won as expected.
  9. I'm actually pretty laid back about coloured smoke TBH. But when we scored against County at New Year most of us were choking for about 10 mins after that smoke bomb went off. Down the front it would have been ok. Also whatever the Poland fans were setting off in our end when they scored at Hampden were downright frightening whether you were a sweetie rustler or not. I bet there were plenty Scotland fans relieved not to have any underwear on under the kilt
  10. Ross County - We're 100% behind ICT!

  13. He's fat, he's round, he's worth a million pound.
  14. Who scored the second? No looking now !
  15. Oh aye, forgot about that, bet he wishes it had arrived 2 weeks ago
  16. Dundee 3 up, ta-ta top 6 unless we get the finger out
  17. It's the man off the telly
  18. Makes a bit of sense mind, as it almost puts an end to the old problem of putting a player on December which more or less guaranteed he'd be off You can actually buy 'mid-year academic diaries' like teachers get, which I used for many years as they're great for the football season as they start at the end of July. Of course nearly everybody has their diary on their phone now...
  19. My 100th game at TCS and very appropriate with a routine 2-0 dismantling of the wee team, just like visit no 1 Not a classic Derby but the North Stand was fairly buzzing Biggest positive for me was the defence, no howlers like the ones which have summed up our season so far. I feared for us with Tremarco and Devine in and Meekings out but they coped confidently all afternoon and C(o)unty were pretty toothless. Various factors mean that's only my 3rd home game this season but the craic in the Innes is as good as ever. I think accepting the offer of a bed off Caley100 is better than spending all day on the Megabus.
  20. I think we're looking at a stuffier Albion side that will sit in and try to frustrate us. The last time they were flying high at the top of the old div 2 with Allan Moore as manager who foolishly tried to play football against us. Can't wait though, where are we meeting?
  21. I vaguely remember Uncle Roy showing somebody round the stadium and neatly moving on to the Academy without making any attempt to correct the impression that it was all theirs. May have been Pr*ck Young but it certainly wasn't this year or even 2015
  22. Top 6 unless P*rt*ck win at pittodrie
  23. Not being of the jeggie persuasion, my favourite memory of Jimbo is his dancing on the pitch after the Celtic match. Years later he appeared in a HL veterans match, Inverness v Aberdeenshire at the Clach Park and all he was bothered about that afternoon was how the Rangers were getting on
  24. It's notches on the couch anyway...
