I don't get that? Surely the number of seeds has to remain for the draw to work?

ICT in Europe
Not really sure what was happening on that video as I was trying to jump past the speeches. Group 10 seemed to be drawn as normal but with the other groups they seemed to draw two balls then reveal the draw for the whole group. Was that some sort of summary I was watching? Baffled.

zzzzzzzzz Laurence, try reading the previous 7 pages first ? I work to hard to read all the pages on this web platform , some of us have work to do Nobody's asking you to read the whole board. Just have the courtesy to read the threads you intend posting in. if you post long irrelevant messages which add nothing new then we reserve the right to remove them. Thanks.

Yeah, dragged Mrs Mantis along to only her 3rd or 4th ICT game. She's always been a bit baffled as to why I bother. When that winner went in I think she saw how much ICT actually means to me. The last time my old face crumpled up like that was on the pitch on 15/5/2004.

Does this feel like Xmas to you ?
Aren't we at home first, being unseeded? Hoping I'm wrong.......

What do they think now?
"So Ted, yer man, that angry pompous fella that won the worst poster award, is he really such a blinkered old twit then?" "Shhhhh Dougal, that's quite enough, he's a very clever man you know, with the big words and that. And don't you be mixing up your Nairns and your Brochs now, or he'll be ripping you a new one." "But Ted, he told me he mixes up his Whitehill and his Annan Athletic and sure there's half of Scotland between them." "Enough I said Dougal! Anyway where were we?" "You were telling me about when that East of Scotland club Ferranti Thistle....." "Dougal! I've told you they're called the "works team". You know, like "pub team". They're a works team". "Well anyway, you were saying the dirty rotten obsessive Lowlanders ganged up on the Jags from Inversneckie". "Yes Dougal, it was a conspiracy". "So the 37 dirty Lowlanders voted for Ferr.... the works team?" "No Dougal, only 19 of them". "What, the rest abstained then Ted?" "No, they em, voted for the Jags Dougal." "Haha come on now Ted, I'm supposed to be the eejit around here, not much of a plot that is it? 19 away from 37, that's, that's eh, quite a lot. Some of them must be less rotten than others eh?" "LOOK! There was corruption. Something about eh, (waves hand dismissively) Forfar bridies being handed out. OK?" "Ah, right you are Ted. So what about the next time then?" "Well, this time they pulled a real fast one Dougal. They altered the votes so the big clubs got 4 each, the middle clubs got 2 and the wee diddy clubs got only 1." "(Snort) ah come off it Ted! I'm not thick you know! Everybody knows that would only help the highlanders! The wee diddy clubs were the ones objecting in the first place!" "No Dougal, it was a cunning plan to obsessively shaft them and get it right up them". "Ah right, I get you. They all voted for Gala Fairydean then?" "No, Caley Thistle" "What, Caley Thistle AND Gala Fairydean?" "NO THEY DIDN'T! No they didn't Dougal. (Whispers) They gave 68 to Caley Thistle and eh, some more to Ross County." "Speak up Ted! 68 out of 82? Isn't that quite a lot Ted for a lot of conspiring rotters?" "Yes but it was a dirty conspiracy Dougal, letting only the two in." "So how many spaces were there Ted?" "Eh, two." "And how many applied Ted?" "Eh, five." "Ah, right Ted."

Central Belters = Barstewards as usual . Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you. I suppose you'll be condemning the HL for keeping out Cove, Fort and Wick

The big Europa adventure thread
I'd be up for that. Surely there will be 80-100 seats available to fans on a 140 - 160 seater charter. Would certainly cut out a lot of the logistics for many of us. Possibly one for CaleyD? If the first leg of rd 1 is tight we'll be hanging on till the 16th and the away game could (will?) be 7 days later. If the club could even give any hint of provisional travel arrangements and look for notes of interest/deposits it would be great.

Big Crawford that lived with Dots in Nelson St? He'll still be claiming I owe him for a door lock I stayed over once after a game v County (4-3 in the HLC I think). Early morning I got locked in the bog as the handle on the door was falling apart. Nobody else was up but I eventually got out after about 10 mins.

Thanks for that. Do you find just the one thick anorak does the job, or do you wear loads of thin ones in a sort of layer system

ICT in Europe
Actually passed KR Reykjavik and Hafnarfjörður yesterday as well as a few other stadiums in Iceland during the week. Unfortunately couldn't fit in a game anywhere despite my best efforts. Did think of going to Keflavik last Sunday night, right off the plane but thought better of mentioning it to Mrs Mantis.

Pre-Season 2015
Cheers Rene, your post overlapped with my edit. Apparently they're effectively a 'select' as it was formed to let them compete at a higher level. So the old Orkney clubs such as Thorfinn and Hotspurs soldier on in their own league which presumably is weakened like the HFL was after 1994.
-
Pre-Season 2015
Is this a sort of 'Orkney Select'? Do none of their clubs enter then? Edit- I see that Orkney is an actual club founded in 2012.

ICT in Europe
Ah. So the coefficients are mainly with the clubs, not the strength of the league they play in (so Copenhagen are much stronger than West Ham). We've got a low coefficient because of our lack of experience so plenty of potential for a shock then

ICT in Europe
I don't get this at all. You're saying some of the teams who are in rd 1 will be seeded even though we're not? This is because their league is ranked higher or what? I'm a bit like Johndo. Hope to be there unless it's Boratland. Would have preferred the likes of Iceland, Faroes, Wales, Ireland but hopeful we can get Charleroi or Copenhagen or Thun or somewhere accessible like that...

Not coming to a stadium near you anytime soon
Interesting to see if McCall does what McCoist should have done long ago and ditches Boyd, Miller etc to give youth a chance. Also who on Earth signed Mohsni? He wouldn't get a game for Uncle Roy's team.
